Microfiber Cleaner

I have a microfiber couch and ottoman.  When we bought our couch years ago {before kids} the guy sold us on how easy it is to clean.
They sent us home with cleaner to use and now many years later, two dogs and two kids I have run out of said cleaner.
Our ottoman fabric can not be removed like the cushions on the couch and it was in desperate need of a good scrub.
One of the main problems I was having with cleaning the material was the nasty ring that was left around the spot I cleaned from the water sitting for to long.
After seeing something on Pinterest I wondered if it really worked, and thought it couldn’t hurt to try it out, couldn’t get much worse looking than what I already had going on…. {see picture above, yikes!}

For this all you need is a few basic things that you can get at the dollar store:
~ 1 spray bottle
~ A white brissled scrubber {the pink duck is actually a nail scrubber}
~ Rubbing Alcohol
Total for all: $3

I was planning on putting the alcohol into the spray bottle but instead just took the sprayer off and attached it to the alcohol bottle directly.

The reason you use rubbing alcohol, it dries much faster than water and doesn’t leave that nasty outline on the microfiber.

I sprayed the ottoman covering the area pretty well.
I then took my cute little duck and started to scrub.  I scrubbed all over the top and down the sides. I really had to put some muscle into it! 🙂
Scrub until you think its clean or can no longer see the stains.
Don’t want to see how dirty it is, do not look at the bottom of your scrubber… nasty!
Let it dry
Wa-La!

Mine was pretty bad and will need another scrub but it sure does look a lot better than before!

So does it really work…. Yep, I think so!

You could do little sections at a time or do the whole thing you need to clean.

I have some chairs that could use a good scrub, they may be next!
