DIY Fruit Popsicles

It’s that time of year again: Summer. All this warm weather often manages to kick up our craving for something cold and sweet. Instead of running to the store and grabbing popsicles full of sugars and artificial coloring, why not try these healthy, and easy, DIY fruit popsicles?

You will need:

1.   A plastic popsicle container in which to freeze the popsicles [you can get them for around $4 at Walmart, in all different sizes].

2.  A blender.

3.  Some yogurt. [I chose Greek yogurt, as it is very healthy, but any yogurt works.]

4.  Fruit juice. [Orange juice, peach juice, mango juice, they all work.]

5.  Fruit of choice. [I chose blueberries, bananas, and strawberries.]

6.  Cutting board.

7.  Knife.

Step 1: Rinse, peel, and slice your chosen fruits into manageable pieces.

Step 2: Measure out about ¼-½  a cup of  yogurt.

Step 3: Measure out ¼-½ cup of juice. [May need more if using a larger blender.]

Step 4: Pour all ingredients into the blender. Blend for 20-30 seconds, until mixture is smooth with no chunks.

Step 5: Pour mixture into popsicle container, filling almost all the way to the rims.

Step 6: Put in the freezer overnight or for a couple hours until popsicles are completely frozen.

*TIP* If you’re having a hard time removing the frozen popsicles, use some hot water on the outside of the container for a couple seconds. This will thaw the popsicles away from the plastic, and will allow you to easily remove them.

Don’t forget to Pin this on Pinterest o share it with others! 🙂
