7 Perfect Do-It-Yourself Fashion Ideas For Pregnant Women!
Yes! You can be pregnant and still look fashionable. A lot of pregnant women are having problems dealing with self-esteem especially when their watermelons started to show up in fear of their husbands replacing them with sexier women. But, Alas! These are the 7 DIY fashion tips we can share to make you a stunningly beautiful pregnant woman.
1. Maternity Jeans
Stretchy t-shirt or tank top (the stretchier and thicker the better).
Elastic (I used one about 1.5 inches thick)
Your usual sewing supplies: sewing machine, thread, pins, scissors
2. A-LINE SKIRT AND ANCHOR PRINT
1 3/4 yard to 2 yards light, or flowy fabric – not stiff, it will be too poofy (if you want to do cotton, then gather it way less, and use less then this tutorial)
*can use contrasting fabric for pockets or waistband
elastic (try to make it as thick as your waistband will be, I doubled up with 1″ wide)
interfacing – don’t need very much
3. Maternity Shorts
Pair of shorts either buy a cheapy pair or recycle some you already have.
1 piece of stretch knit 20 inch x the diameter of your shorts minus 1 inch – You could recycle an old stretchy t-shirt or something sturdier
4. Maternity Dress Revamped
5. Belly Sash
Lacey trim/ribbon or equivilant
2 inch ribbon for the actual sash
Hot glue gun and a couple hot glue sticks
6. Maternity Tunic
2 yards of jersey fabric
7. Upcycled Maternity Top
One long t-shirt or singlet
Some scrap material
A sewing machine or a needle and thread
