Carbonite 15-day Trial: Back up your computer for FREE!

Years ago, when digital pictures just began taking the place of printed pictures, our computer crashed. It crashed hard. It got what we so lovingly referred to as the “blue screen of death” and never recovered. Back then I was under the impression that files could always be recovered from a computer. I’ve seen it done on C.S.I., so it must be so.

It’s not. I learned the hard way when, after numerous technicians tried & failed to retrieve our files, I permanently lost priceless baby pictures (including my daughter’s first smile-sniff, sniff). It still makes my heart hurt, but now I know better. Our computer is now backed up so that tragic loss of data will NEVER happen to us again.

If you have yet to back up your computer, now is your chance to do it for FREE! Carbonite is offering a FREE 15-day unlimited backup trial for your computer. No credit card required!

Carbonite online backup is the easy, automatic and secure way to safeguard your irreplaceable computer files. If you try it and love it, you can then get 2 months FREE with any subscription when you use offer code EASY. Head on over to get those precious, irreplaceable files backed up! Don’t learn the hard way like I did!

    this post headline is a little misleading … it’s $60 / year.

Carbonate is okay but really hard to access your stuff unless you want to download everything. For instance they say that you can access your files from remote computers which you can but one file at a time. When my computer crashed I was trying to download my pics from a friends house and I could only get to one pic at a time unless I downloaded every bit of content from my computer to hers. I think there are far better options out there including some that will back up an external hard drive as well.

Also, they automatically renew you each year. It comes right out of your account so you can’t just let your subscription expire.

There are also free cloud services such as Microsoft Skydrive on the internet if you are worried about pictures or documents getting lost. Or, you could do like me.. have all my pictures on every PC in the house, use skydrive, and have an external hard drive. 😉
