Black Friday Shopping in Your PJ’s

We’ve been talking a lot about Black Friday these past few weeks.  {In fact we’re sitting down with Stacey Skrysak from Fox 12 next week to talk all about Black Friday!}

I USED to love to go out shopping with my sisters on Black Friday.

But as I’ve gotten older (yes, I said OLDER), I’m kind of over it!  I’ll probably go over to the Fred Meyer sock sale, but that’ll be it.  You know why???  Because I REALLY like taking advantage of deals ONLINE!  {In the comfort of my very own home!}

Shop From Home in Your PJ’s & Earn Cash Too!

One way I really saved money last year was shopping through Ebates. What is Ebates?  It is simply an “online portal” for you to do your online shopping.  When you start at Ebates, and use their links, they will actually give you CASH BACK on your purchase!  They also have a ton of discount codes for your favorite stores!  Last year I got free shipping, PLUS 10% cash back at! {Plus you get $5.00 just for signing up!!}

Here is what I would recommend you do:

  1. Sign up at Ebates TODAY and get yourself familiar with how it works (you can see a little tutorial here) and then on BLACK FRIDAY click through Ebates to get cash back on all of your purchases!
  2. Get Registered at the Frugal Living Community (we are having a blast as one of the community leaders there!).   There will be a LIVE DISUCSSION for FIVE HOURS on Black Friday!  Allie from Ebates is hosting the discussion, as well as many other of the Frugal Living Community Leaders (us too!) from 10-3 EST (thats 8-1 MST).  EVERY HOUR they’ll be giving away some goodies plus a grand prize gift card for $250 to use at Kohl’s! You can’t win if you don’t participate though!
  3. During the live chat, Allie and the leaders will share all theyou’ll get some exclusive discount codes from Ebates that will make BLACK FRIDAY shopping online EASY PEASY!

    Cathy, it is a ritual. Meet your sister at Fred Meyers for their cider and donuts to kick off you Full Day of Shopping. I find better deals on socks throughout the years, especially on clearance at JC Penney and Target, but I just buy for adults, no kidlets like your large family. This year Goodwill and Idaho Youth Ranch are opening early and have 50% off most everything. I found an American Girl Bitty Baby and a Cuisinart Griddler, and a brand new fleece Cabella pullover, and a new Chico’s jean jacket at the Youth Ranch on Monday. Goodwill saves some new stuff to put out on that Black Friday morning. My starting triangle is Goodwill, Fred Meyer and Walgreens all on one corner.

    I live in Portland and it cracks me up that you hit Fred’s for the socks…we do too! The big Black Friday outing with the girls has whittled down to basically doing Fred’s for socks and games and then going to breakfast. We just got tired of it and the thing we looked forward to the most was going out to breakfast together. So that’s what we do!
