Bath Salts for Immune Support
Bath salts with bonus immune support!
We want to stay healthy all year round, but there are definitely times of the year when we need some extra help! These bath salts are one of those things that can make a difference for the better. Boost your immune system while you soak! Gather up your Epsom salt, baking soda, and On Guard essential oil for this quick and easy natural solution!
Epsom salt is known to have many healing and antiseptic properties by itself – kill bacteria, reduce inflammation, promote circulation, detoxify, relax muscles, and more.
Then the On Guard essential oil really brings it up to a whole new level! The oils in it work together to support the body’s natural antioxidant defenses, promote healthy circulation, respiratory and immune function. As far as aroma goes, the cinnamon bark, rosemary, and clove bud in the blend are warm and spicy (this is in addition to the other benefits, of course). And the wild orange and eucalyptus add some energizing and uplifting aromatic notes too.
What you will need:
In a medium bowl or other container, stir the baking soda and Epsom salt together until combined.
Add the On Guard essential oil blend. For the measurements above, I use about 8 drops of On Guard essential oil. Stir until combined.
Store the bath salts in a glass container. With most essential oil creations, you need to use glass storage containers to avoid deterioration and protect the aromatic and therapeutic properties of your oils. Pure essential oils will break down some plastics.
To use your immune supporting bath salts, simply run your nice warm bath and add the bath salts to your bath water. The amount is totally personal preference, but I like to use about 1/8 cup of bath salts in my bath.
