B1G1 FREE Dinner at Tucanos in Boise!

Be still my heart. Guess where I’m going to be every Tuesday night in September? Yep. Tucanos Brazilian Grill.

I LOVE that place, but I’m a bit too frugal to dine there often. Although it is worth it, it is an anniversary/birthday type splurge! Well not this month. All you have to do is “like” Tucanos on facebook and you can print a coupon for a FREE Adult Churrasco dinner with the purchase of another and 2 drinks. That is an incredible deal!

So who am I going to see on Tuesday night?

I used to love this place, but it’s gone downhill. We go there when we get the free meal with the birthday club. They clearly have cut back as a result of the economy. They don’t have near the meat that they used to – and I mean the variety of what they used to bring around. And, they do not plan well at all and I think it’s because of money. We’ve been there several times and the service is slow slow slow when it used to be fast fast fast. And you’ll ask for something and they are out of it…at like 6pm? They did away with some of their dishes and have more low-budget things in the meat mix…like brisket…. To me it’s just not a good place at all anymore. And I say that even with the free meal we’ve been getting. If you’re new to it and don’t know any better, sure, give it a shot for the B1G1.

Wow, we’ve always had great service and great food when we dine there. I know there are several different locations. We go to the Boise one. What one did you go to? I would recommend this restaurant to anyone (with a coupon, of course, because without one it’s PRICEY!)

I go to the one in Boise too. Have you been recently? Trying to think when we went. We went in May, June and July and it was not at all like it used to be.

The last time we went was for my birthday in July. We did go to lunch once and they don’t offer all the meat selections at lunch, but it says right on the menu “dinner only” for those. I’m sorry you haven’t had a good experience there. Just reading this post makes my mouth water for grilled pineapple and raspberry lemonade. 🙂

Another great thing is kids 6 and under eat free!

I was there in August (I <3 Toucano's!!)... And the service was great!!! They are offering the same dishes they have always offered, and if you aren't getting the ones you want (such as the white fish in Mango sauce!!!!!!!) just ask, they'll bring it right over! Now, if you go on a Friday or Saturday night, it's going to be way slower than going on a weekday, simply because they are crammed full of people!
If you need them to speed up the service, tell them, they bring the stuff around faster!
And reservations are key!! if you make them for a Friday-Saturday night, you're still looking at a 15 minute wait, but that's way better than the 2 hours it can sometimes take!

Thanks Amber! We went and both of our kids ate FREE! Woot!

If anyone is planning on going to this tomorrow, make reservations now… I just made mine, and they had 4:30 pm, and 8 pm or later… everything else is booked!
