Explore the World with Kiwi Crate!
My family got to Explore through a fun and cultural project from Kiwi Crate this week! This one was tailored to my bigger kids, and I LOVE how it helped tie in areas of Social Studies that we have been working on this past month! At first glance there is so much to see in this Crate: Explore play & learn magazines, World Maps, Game pieces and cards, Adventure Maps, Complete Craft sets to make flags, and kid-friendly & colorful instructions on how to create, explore, and play with the project in the Crate.
To begin with, we read through the magazine that was FULL of activities, “Did you Know” trivia tidbits, learning opportunities, and FUN! You can see how much fun my kids were having throughout the activities; while they can be quite silly together, it takes a special project to get them to have this much fun while learning at the same time.
After reading through the magazine, the kids were able to walk through this fun activity step by step as they worked to make these colorful flags. During the Kiwi Crate activity we discussed why different countries have different flags and what the symbols mean, and they also got to make their own flag design for our homeschool classroom.
Once they were done with the Flags, we got out the World Map game and learned about different landmarks/continents around the world. The game came with very creative game pieces, colorful cards, and had a fun objective in the game. Their younger sister even stopped what she was doing to come and watch the big kids play the game, and learned a few things about the Statue of Liberty.
I highly recommend Kiwi Crate to any family that is looking to add some creativity, learning, and fun into their monthly routine or homeschool classroom. My kids are already asking when another Crate will be coming, and they are excited to see what project they will get to explore next!
