All Natural Hair Mask

Looking for a way to moisturize your hair without harsh chemicals?

During the harsh winter months my hair will get so dry because of the air. I have the same problem if I use cheaper shampoo and conditioner products for too long too. I have used products in the past that are meant to help with this. They work BUT they also contain harsh chemicals, cost extra money, and they usually leave my hair feeling heavy, weighted, and sometimes even oily or greasy.

So I did some searching and came across an all natural hair mask that I love. Bonus.. it leaves my hair smelling fresh and looking amazing! If you are looking to bring back some life to your hair, check out this quick and easy do it yourself hair mask…

What you will need:

2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
1-2 Eggs (This depends on how long your hair is)
2 Tablespoons of Honey
5 drops of Geranium Essential Oil

Instructions:

Gather up all your ingredients and get ready for a quick and easy hair makeover! You might be able to get away with one egg, but if you have long or thick hair, you will want to go with two that way you have enough to cover all of your hair.

Seriously, I can’t get over how amazing this stuff makes my hair smell and how it brings back such a nice shine! It makes a serious difference!

mixing-the-mask

Mix it all up and you are ready to go!

When I do this, I just do it in my hair as is. I don’t wash it  or anything prior and I always like to do it on dry hair, that way I can tell where I have applied the mask. You want to make sure you get it all over your hair!

How to Apply:

Apply to your hair starting at the roots and working towards the ends of your hair. Once you have got all of your hair coated in this mixture, place a shower cap on, wrap your hair and scalp in saran wrap, or just go way old school and wrap your hair and scalp in a plastic grocery bag. No joke, this is what I do. It’s easy and free so why not? Not only does wrapping your hair up avoid any messes it creates heat in your hair which opens up the follicles and lets the hair soak up all the nutrients and vitamins you are giving it!

Leave your hair wrapped for 30-60 minutes. I usually do about an hour, but this just depends on the length and thickness of hair.

Wash with shampoo and conditioner and check out that gorgeous hair you brought back to life!

That is ALL you have to do. It is so simple and easy! And these are all product that you have in your home. My goal is to always give you DIYs that you can do with the products that you already have in your pantry and this hair mask is at the top of the list.

Try it out and let me know how it goes below in the comments! I know you will love it!
