30 Second Fix for a Tight Waistband!

We’ve all been there…wanting to wear our favorite jeans that we just can’t seem to button.   Many of us here are women which means, we’ve all suffered this fate at some point in time.  We bloat, we swell, we have babies,  and yes, we sometimes gain weight.  There are so many reasons that we might struggle to fit into our favorite jeans.  Well, I’m going to show you a little trick I picked up from my fellow Provets  in high school a long, long time ago.  It will resolve the tight waistband issue in 30 seconds flat!  (Thanks, Provet ladies!)

All you need is a hair elastic!!

Unbutton your jeans and grab your hair elastic.

Pull the elastic through the buttonhole.

Now, pull one side of elastic through the middle of the other side.

Release the looped side so your elastic forms a knot.

Now, pull the loose end of the elastic over your button.

This is what it should look like…

All that’s left to do is pull your shirt over your waistband!

Pretty easy, huh?  Now my secret is your secret!  You can do this anytime you need a little extra room to breathe!  For me, that’s after a nice big burger but it’s also a great way to avoid having to buy new jeans for a few extra weeks when you have a bun in the oven!

Enjoy your extra breathing room! 😉

This used to be a Pregnancy help too. We used thick rubberbands 40 years ago. That was a way to get an extra month out of your jeans before you moved into maternity clothes. We didn’t have lycra in our regular clothes then
