Between the Super Bowl and Olympics, raise your hand if you feel like you’ve been cheering all winter long.  Just in time for March Madness, here’s a wing sauce guaranteed to make your final four…my boys pick for the BIG DANCE!

Winger's Original Amazing Sauce

Winger’s claims they’ve been named “best wings in America!”  It’s because of their Original Amazing Sauce, a combination of spicy and sweet that makes almost everything better – from wings & fingers to ribs, chicken, and burgers.

They will sell you a 21.8-ounce bottle for $6.99 plus tax and shipping.  Why not make up a batch for pennies on the dollar with only 4 ingredients.  You’ll agree with me, homemade tastes much better and even more amazing.

Here’s how to make Original Amazing Sauce:  Combine brown sugar, hot sauce, corn syrup, and vinegar in a medium saucepan.  Over medium heat bring sauce to a low boil and simmer for 1 to 1-1/2 minutes.  Yields 2-1/2 cups.

Chicken Wings with Winger’s Original Amazing Sauce:  Cook your wings by frying or baking them.  I bake mine by first, preheating my oven to 425˚ degrees.  Remove the wing-tips from 2 to 5 pounds of wings.  Cut them at the joint to make to pieces if desired.  Next, season chicken wings  with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Arrange them on a cooling rack that has been placed inside a silpat lined baking sheet.  Bake for 20-25 minutes.  Lower oven temperature to 375˚ degrees. Remove wings from the oven and with tongs dip each wing in you prepared sauce. Place back on the lined baking sheet and place in oven for 5 to 10 more minutes.  Plate the wings and drizzle with additional sauce.  Serve immediately with celery sticks and more sauce, seriously my guys can’t get enough of it!

I remember soaking baking sheets overnight before the French created, Artisan Metal Works Silicon Non-Stick Baking Mat Sets.  They make baking and clean up a beautiful experience.
