Walmart Deals As Of 7/31/11 {Free Reach Floss, Tide, Cascade, cheap milk, dish soap and lots more!}

August 1, 2011 40 Comments

Here are the FAB deals I found this week at Walmart! These prices come from the 12th/Greenhurst Walmart in Nampa, Idaho. Prices and deals may vary by store. Walmart does not publish a regular weekly ad or have a sales schedule so we never know how long the Rollback prices will last! Use my list as a guide when planning your shopping trip! There are quite a few match ups and rollbacks, so please feel free to share any other good deals you find! Also, be sure to read my Walmart Shopping Tips post for Price Matching tips and more!

Check out the Walmart Key!

Because Walmart IS the generic/mass/superstore, the brown star on this match-up represents items on sale or (Rollback). These items are priced lower then the everyday price. Grab a few but wait for a better deal to stock up!

No star- Means ok price, pick it up if you’re there and you need it.

★-Means item is currently on Rollback (sale). Better then the everyday price. Just grab a couple.

- Means awesome price! Stock up, buying only what you know you and your family will use :)

Price Matching at Walmart…

(Price Matching at Walmart is a great way to save time, gas and money! You can do it with or with out coupons. I personally love to price match produce because we rarely see coupons for fresh fruits and veggies! To price match, simply show the cashier a competitor stores ad price for an item and they will adjust the price to match! Be sure to show them the ad before they ring up the item and double check that the item you are buying is identical in brand, size and quantity to the item in the competitor ad. Read more price matching tips HERE!)

  1. Take your cascade coupons to Target,, they take them for the trail size!

  2. I just went to wallmart today and i printed the free yogurt you posted today. And so i want to use it and the cashier said oh i cant take this. But then i told her that it said on a poster and then she asked her manager and then she let it go through.!!!!!! wow people you will get your money back! did any one els have this problem?

  3. Where do you find the cascade trial size in the store? I have looked with the regular size and can’t find it-maybe they dont carry it in our store…

    • elisabeth says:

LeAnn, I got 10 of ‘em and they were nestled in with the regular sizes of cascade. But it is so small you really have to be looking to see it. Or they might just not carry it at your store :(

  4. Christina says:

Does walmart except other stores rain checks?

    • That’s a good question. I am not 100% sure but I would guess not. I am headed there today. I’ll let you know what I find out :)

  5. KatKaesMom says:

I hate the Meridian walmart with a passion. They took my tide coupon fine, but they’re rude. I had a coupon for dollars off and tried to use a bogo with it and they told me no, that I couldn’t only use one coupon. I said, it’s one coupon per item. They said it doesn’t matter, you would have to buy three to get that deal. I said I wanted to talk to a CSM, so they brought over a CSM who told me the same thing and got super snippy with me. So I said I wanted to talk to a different manager and she told me that I wasn’t going to be able to find another one because it was a restock day. So I told them to give me my stuff back and I’d go to customer service. Before I could get there, the CSM I talked to went running up to the other CSM and told her not to allow me to use the coupons. Really?

The only Wal-marts I will use are the one in the Garden City (and hardly ever that one because they’re ALWAYS out of stuff, even stuff that isn’t on sale) and the one on Overland. I’ve tried both the ones in Nampa and Meridian, and I won’t ever go there again. I think I deserve good customer service, whether I’m using coupons or not!

    • That’s frustrating :( It seems lately a a lot of Walmart coupon shoppers are getting mixed resposes at different locations. Even I can’t keep it all straight!! From what I understand, Walmart considers using a cents/dollar off coupon and a bogo coupon together to be “stacking” and they no longer allow you to do it. I plan on doing some much needed inquiring about all of this confusion and will post an update on what I find :)

  6. I’m not sure if this against the rules…I’ve checked and it doesn’t seem to be against this site’s rules. But I do not have pets, and I would be more than willing to mail my pet coupons to ONE individual on a monthly basis. I do keep the Pedigree/Beneful coupons when I get them, for my mom, and any Whiskas coupons for her as well because she is brand specific. But I would be willing to mail all others out as I get them to someone who could use them. NONE of my friends or church family have wanted them in the last 4 months (most don’t have pets). Please let me know if you’re interested. You can email me: [email protected]

I really am not willing to send anything other than pet coupons because I do use the rest, and I already have “homes” for the other coupons I don’t use.

  7. I went to walmart yesterday and was informed that they had changed their policy on coupons with “overage”. They will no longer roll the overage into the rest of your transaction/give you money back, but instead adjust the coupon to the product price. I had not seen any updates reflecting that on this site, but that cashier did tell me I could get a copy of the new policy at the customer service counter. I’m really bummed about this change!

    • Krista Porter says:

me too! you know what sucks about the whole thing to is that walmart is getting that extra overage because the company reimberses them 8 cents for every coupons, and for the total amount. so if you have a$ 1.50 off coupon adn the product is $1. walmart is making 58 cents off us

  8. I tried the coupons for the tide at our walmart and was told that p&g sent out a journal to walmart saying what they will redeem the coupons for. So if you are trying to use a 2.00 off coupon on trial size or a 1.00 off coupon on a trial size that doesn’t have a size restriction then the walmart may not take them for the trial size because procter and gamble will not reimburse them for the coupon.

  9. Amber A. says:

My wal-mart was out of the cascade and tide, which is typical, so I’ll keep watching for them. THE TEMPTAIONS cat treats coupon is $1/2 bags of treats. Also, my walmart allowed me to use 1 B1G1 and 1 $1/2 old spice products.

  10. Quick question.. I tried using my tide q on the single load packs and although the q does not specify a size my walmart will not allow me to use the q because they said the “family code” which I think means the barcode, do not match eachother.. the tides started with 0037 something and the q started with 0085 something?? I have never heard this rule before and have used this scenario before. My question is does this rule correlate with their coupon policy or are they just being picky for no reason?

  11. Is your milk really $2.23 a gallon?!?!?! That same gallon here in Louisiana (70737) is $4.29!!!!! Ugh. :(

  12. I always have such a hard time using the Tide coupon on the trial size. They always say the pictures dont match. Despite me saying my usually spill about the size restriction. Last time I did that the cashier had the csm come over and she got the assistant manager and he got the manager that finally said go ahead. It was just not worth it any more. That happen at 2 different Walmarts.

  13. Where did you get the temptation cat treat coupons????

  14. wouldn’t the Tampax Pearl deal be better? If it’s $3.96 each
buy (2) tampax pearls @$3.96 each
use (1) BOGO tampax pearl AND (1) $1/1 Tampax pearl coupon
    $1.48 each…?

    • Anonymous says:

At walmart, you cant use a dollar off coupon AND a B1G1 together. :(

Had to explain that to 3 different customers today trying to do that same thing.

Its considered stacking and walmart wont do it.

      • this isn’t stacking. You are using one coupon for each item. you are buying one and getting a dollar off then using the BOGO for the second one. Seems like the ones who don’t honor the coupons are the ones who wish they were getting the deals for them selfs and don’t want others to save money. Stacking would be 2 coupons on the same item.

        • Anonymous says:

well either way, you cant do it at walmart.

          • My walmart let me use B1G1 and a 1$ off on the old spice deodorant and body wash last month. Seems like there are some haters out there.

            • I did it at mine too several times. However, mine is big on the seperate transactions for multiple items. I had to do 10 transactions, just to get my cat food.

      • The walmart in Mountain Home will also let you do that. The manager actually came down and explained to the cashier I was with that it is NOT considered stacking and therefore a legal transaction.

  15. My Walmart was all out of the Floss! :(

I did score on the Temptation treats for cats. They had a clearance bin for 98 cents each…with the $1.00 off coupon this resulted in a bargain!

  16. Nicole L says:

I went to the Meridian Walmart today and they wouldn’t do the Cascade deal, they said since the picture shows a 16 ct., that’s what they’ll take the coupon for, not the trial size.

    • That violates their own coupon policy. It doesn’t have a restriction on it and the coupon scans for that item, so they shouldn’t be making up their own rules.

Next time, ask to speak to a CSM.

      • plus they get reimbursed for it anyway!

      • Anonymous says:

One of my fellow cashiers told me about this earlier today, and she told me who the CSM was that told her to stop taking the cascade coupons for trial size, and I must say it really is complete BS!!! They have NO RIGHT to deny your coupon for that product, because there are no restrictions, and customers are still following the rules of the policy by using it. I think tomorrow I’m going to speak to my assistant manager about it, and let him know whats going on, because its not fair. I was able to get a few of the trial sizes with my coupon, so why shouldnt everyone else???

To me, its not just about getting a free product. Now its the principle of the thing, they CAN NOT be making up their own rules just to inconvenience the customer.

As a cashier myself, I will still be following the REAL rules, and still accept your coupons as long as theyre being used correctly.

      • I had the same problem with the Tide coupon. Both cashier and CSM refused to take it so I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was not going to be in till the next day. I called the following day and was told to come up there and ask for her specifically and she would see to it that my coupons were taken. Now, I’m glad they took my coupons and followed their own policy, but such a lot of grief for a few sample sized of product they are being reimbursed for anyway!! :0

        • Krista Porter says:

The walmart cashiers are very rude sometimes and really dont know there coupon policy at all. Some of the managers are ven rude. Its a matter of getting to know your cashiers and managers, you will figure out who the ones are that will and wont give you problems :) learn to read them ;)

          • I am new to this and have had some luck with Albertsons and Fred Meyer… BUT today i tried Walmart and while not a regular Walmart shopper some of these deals made me want to go, i had a hard time finding things and when i went to check out the cashier rolled her eyes when she saw my coupons and said “REALLY!! how many do you have?” then she called a manager of sorts over to look through all my coupons before they rang anything up, then told me they do not and will not accept other store coupons or internet printed coupons and she refused to price match. i was so embarrassed when it was all over. i don’t think ill ever go back. so rude! i don’t care if things are cheap there i wont go back. AVOID the Ammon Walmat in Idaho.

    • Bummer! There was no where on the coupon that had a size limit. I was able to get the Cascade and Tide deal at the Boise Store. Can you say FREE?! OOP!!

    • They tried to give me a hard time too but when the manager came over she was able to override it since it didn’t say a specific size restriciton

    • I was in the Meridian one yesterday, and they took my Cascade coupon with no problems.
