Target Ad Matchup 7/17-7/23 {Free Tape and Pens Plus MORE}

July 17, 2011 7 Comments | Disclosure

These are the best deals I see this week. Target’s ads are usually not super beefed up with deals. You will find more by going to the store with your coupons and scouting out the clearance aisles or end caps, as well as unadvertised price-cuts. As Target adds coupons periodically that can be stacked with manufacturer’s coupons, more deals pop up and I will share them as they do! Keep in mind that prices vary from region to region, that you should print and bring the NEW Target Coupon Policy with you, and don’t forget your reusable bags!! Get $.05 off your total for every bag you end up using!

  1. I am having problems downloading the target coupon activator. Is this a problem with the site? How do I get around this?

  2. Hey Becky, I read on another blog that when you buy a Wonka chocolate bar at Target, a catalina for a free Wonka bar will print. I tried it this morning, and it worked! You can do it over and over. Free chocolate — I LOVE it! You have to pay for the first one, obviously, but after that you can keep rolling the catalina for free ones. . It didn’t even charge sales tax — is that normal for Target? I don’t normally shop there and don’t know the ins and outs.

    The catalina doesn’t expire until September so plenty of time to use it, but who knows how long the catalinas will be printing.

    Like I said, I don’t normally shop at Target. I like Target (too much in fact) but when I started couponing in earnest in attempt to lower my spending, I intentionally stopped going to Target because it seemed like every time I stepped foot in there, I’d walk out having spent too much on stuff that I loved but didn’t need. Since then, I’ve tried a few times to bargain shop, but I just can’t ever seem to find the deals that others mention.

    But this weekend was a pleasant exception. I found some cute jeans on clearance for my daughter and used the $2 Target coupon to get them for under $2, and top on clearance for myself that I was able to use a Target coupon on. My best deal — DD spotted some adorable leather flip flops for $2.24, marked down from $24! I never get so lucky as to find such an extreme markdowns on clothes and shoes that we love and that fit, so needless to say, I was thrilled.

    I picked up some dog food on sale, plus coupons, plus the $5 gift card deal, which was a really good deal. I was able to get the free Bic pens, Scotch tape, Sharpie highlighters, and regular Sharpie 2-packs. Oh, and ziplocs. Sandwich and snack bags are $2.50, and there are both Target coupons and mfg coupons available for $1/2 that can be stacked, so $1.50 for 120-ct boxes, which I thought was a very good price. The mfg coupon is a printable and I don’t recall where I got it from, sorry.

    All in all, I spent about $10 and walked out of there so much stuff. I didn’t do the math, but it has to be at least $50-$60 worth. It was seriously fun.

    Well, this is getting to be a long comment. I will be going back to my “don’t step foot in Target unless I plan on dropping a ton of money” general rule, so I won’t be giving the Target shoppers much competition. Well, except for that one more Wonka bar that I have a catalina for :-) But today was sure fun, and I do appreciate your Target posts.

    • How many of the scotch tape coupons did you use in one transaction? Did you use both the target coupon and the coupon provided on this page as well?

  3. margaret says:

    When you buy a wonka chocolate bar at target they are printing catalinas for another wonka chocolate bar. Sadly however the nampa target is sold out.

  4. I have to say…..2 wk ago my 18 yr old daughter bought the emerson mini-fridge so when I saw the 10.00 off coupon the very next week we were a little disappointed…I printed it out anyway and took it to Target with the reciept for the fridge and they refunded my daughter $10.00 back! I was so thrilled.. $10.00 helps out on “going to college” expenses!!

  5. i can’t get to the clothes coupons to copy. dont they have details on them?
    thanks
