[NOTE:  Our chicken is delivered in its original wholesale packaging, a water resistant cardboard case containing three or four plastic bags of fresh chicken breasts. Due to those rising prices, it may be a while before they can offer this product again. So stock up now and take advantage of these low prices!

Zaycon 93/7 ground beef is DELICIOUS and so worth the price of $3.29/lb for a 40lb case.

  • No chemicals, additives or water added to meat during processing
  •  Beef is 100% raised in USA
  •  Processed at a USDA-inspected, state-of-the-art plant employing strict operating protocols (including HACCP) and the highest in food-safety standards
  • Prior to processing, inspectors from the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service randomly sample cattle under a monitoring plan and perform testing for antibiotic residues.
  • Comes factory packaged in 10-pound tubes (or chubs) encased in clear plastic sleeves and is sold in units of 40 lbs (it’s so easy to divide and freeze!!)

Boise/Nampa: Fresh Strawberries $1.39/pound {Zaycon Foods}

 Time to Stock Up on Fresh Strawberries!

Zaycon Foods just gave me a call to let me know they are bring fresh strawberries to Boise in June!  The time to order your strawberries is NOW!

  • So FRESH, they are picked the same day they are delivered!
  • Buy in bulk… 32 pounds {4 flats with (8) 1-pound clam shells in each flat}
  • Limited quantities, so order yours now before they sell out!

You’ll be able to pick up your strawberries on Saturday June 16th.  Out of town?  Get a friend to pick them up for you!

Here is a great way to preserve your strawberries in the freezer (if now isnt’ a good time to make jam, or if you want to save some for smoothies).  And watch for a “How to Make Homemade Freezer Jam” tutorial soon!  It’s about the only “canning” I do!  :)

Trying to determine how much to buy?

You can get 2 cups of pureed berries in one pound (source).  You’ll need 2 cups of pureed strawberries for 1 batch of freezer jam (about 5 pints).
