Swagbucks… It’s Mega Swagbucks Day…

April 15, 2011 10 Comments | Disclosure

Just a reminder… Today is Mega Swagbucks Day… Instead of winning the typical 10 -12 Swagbucks you might get lucky and win 100 or even 1,000 Swagbucks… just for doing a simple search!

What are Swagbucks?

Swagbucks is a virtual currency that you earn on Swagbucks.com by doing the things you do every day – searching the web, shopping at your favorite retailers, submitting polls, and completing special offers.

Since signing up for Swagbucks a little over a year ago I have been able to earn over $445 in Amazon Gift Cards to date!  Yep.. it’s true!  In fact if you haven’t signed up for Swagbucks yet and want to get started… You can go HERE to sign up…  Last Christmas I was able to do almost all my Christmas shopping… FOR FREE because of Swagbucks… It was pretty sweet.

Remember… it only takes 450 Swagbucks to earn a $5 amazon.com gift card.

Last week a few readers asked me how they can earn more Swagbucks…

Taking Surveys
Score 1 Swag Buck per day just for clicking on the Survey page… there are multiple surveys you can take to earn higher amounts ranging from 50 Swagbucks to 200+ (I once earned 150 Swagbucks for a survey).

“Each survey is looking for a unique type of person to complete the questionnaire. There may be times when you do not qualify for a survey based on the answers you enter. The “Odds” percentage gives you an indication of how difficult it may be to qualify for that survey. The higher the odds, the greater the likelihood that you’ll qualify for the survey.”

Shopping at the Shop & Earn Mall

Select one of the partnering online retailers and earn 2 Swag Buck for every dollar you spend. I have used this feature several times in the last year. Once I ordered a wedding gift online from Macy’s and scored 150 points. Another time I bought my daughter some running shoes thru Nike.com … and I also scored boo koo points when my husband ordered his new camera online as well. Basically you earn 2 swag points for every dollar you spend. Simply go to the Swagbucks site first and click thru to the desired retailer and order as you normally would.

Watching videos
Swag Bucks are awarded randomly via Swag Bucks TV. You can earn 3 points from watching videos via Swagbucks… and you can earn the 3 swagbucks amount several times in any given day. I typically have the videos play while I’m making dinner in the kitchen… it’s fun to watch in between tasks.

Completing Special Offers
To ensure that an offer has been completed, follow the instructions provided for each individual offer. The offer needs be completed in the same session and all information required to complete the offer MUST be accurate. The majority of offers will credit your Swag Bucks account within a few minutes. However, the estimated wait time varies from offer to offer. Some may take a few hours or a couple of days before final confirmation is received.

Tell Your Friends

Invite all your friends to join Swagbucks… when they sign up you’ll be able to earn Swagbucks along with them… up to 1,000  points per referral.

Finding Swag Codes
Swag Codes can appear anywhere, and at any time, throughout the Swag Bucks network including the Swagbucks newsletter, any Swag Bucks powered Search&Win Site; the Official Swag Bucks blog, their Facebook Fan Page, Twitter page, Flickr page; and affiliated partner sites. Swag Codes can be redeemed by entering the codes into the Swag Codes box on your My Account page.

Video Games & Cell Phones

I recently sent in 3 of my son’s old video games and earned over 1,000 swagbucks for doing so… You can also trade-in your old cell phones for swagbucks as well and there is no limit to how many phones you can recycle.

So there you have it… Sign up for Swagbucks today and start saving for something special you have on your list!

  1. I signed up Mavis :) Now I’ll have to find some time to actually figure out what it’s all about :)

  2. I have a question about the Amazon.com gift cards. You need 450 Swagbucks to earn a $5 gift card. But, to earn a $50 gift card, it’s 5,900 Swagbucks (which works out to be 590 Swagbucks per $5 increment.). It seems the higher the gift card, the more expensive per dollar it is (in Swagbucks).

So, my question is: why on earth would I buy the $25, $50 or $100 Amazon.com gift card? Why wouldn’t I just buy several of the less expensive $5 gift cards? When you go to use these gift cards, can you redeem several of them at checkout on Amazon.com?

    Thanks!

    • You can redeem up to 5 of the same gift card in any given month. Meaning… after you redeem you 5 $5 gift cards you could then save up your swagbucks for a larger gift card. :)

  3. what about getting spam from the site?My husband gets real concern about this ever since I dwn loaded shop at home we have had problems he had to fix on the computer.I have been looking for answers but cannot find any about swagbucks and viruses, but nothing that says you don’t get them also.any comments would be great.thank you
