1 lb Ground Beef (From Zaycon)
1/4 Onion
2 t McCormick Steak Seasoning
1 t Garlic Power
1 Tablespoon Red Wine Vinegar
3/4 C Ketchup
1 t Mustard
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 C Brown Sugar

I have all of these ingredients in my pantry and I bought them all for less than $2 with coupons!

Cook ground beef with dices onions. While meat is cooking sprinkle with steak seasoning and garlic powder. Add red wine vinegar. When meat is brown add ketchup, brown sugar, mustard and worcestershire sauce and allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes. Serve on buns. Enjoy!

  1. Love to see someone else making them with ketchup and mustard. So easy! We actually cheat and do it a bit easier…add a can of Chicken Gumbo soup to the ground beef (after cooked), then add k & m until the right color. Who needs manwich?

  2. I’m looking forward to trying your recipe!! We’ve discovered that the manwich is too sweet for my hubby’s liking and I’ve misplaced my old standby recipe for sloppy joes – so thank you!! I suppose that the Montreal Steak Seasoning would work rather than the McCormick (that’s what I have on hand)? Thanks again!!

  3. just wanted to say…. this is fantastic! I can adjust the sweet and the consistency to however my family prefers. This recipe ROCKS! Thanks!
