What are you finding at Albertsons this week?

Don’t forget the ad this week runs through Wednesday and so should your doublers!

At Fabulessly Frugal we teach that you should stock up on things when the price is low even before you need the product. This way you are paying less and not making a quick run to the store and then end up spending more. In this shopping trip you can see that I stocked up on Vinegar because I use it for cleaning and for canning. I also stocked up on some healthy and fun snacks for our up coming trip to the lake. Have you been able to attend our great class yet? Don’t live close? You can purchase our Coupon Class on DVD, use the code FAB to get $20 off!

  1. Wow….. 17 sets of doublers. I have a difficult time trying to use 2 sets. I was able to pick up the soy sauce, ricotta cheese, hormel pork loins, and some egg rolls. Most everything else was gone.

    • The doublers are good until Wednesday so if you have time to make another trip they should get another shipment in on Tuesday night for Wednesday. Ivory soap is FREE!

  2. They have a 10 lb bag of flour for 3.99, is that a good deal???

    • Of the top of my head I think that’s a good price but not a stock up price. It depends on your area but, other stores will have case lot sales and I get a 25lb bag for $5.99 during that sale. Should be coming up around the beginning of September.

  3. Janet Masters says:

The coupon for Planters says any on e NUT-trition product…they will let you use that coupon for the trailmix in the picture?

    • Janet Masters says:

My Planter’s coupon also says do not double…did they double yours?

      • Stephanie says:

albertsons doubles any coupon regardless of whether it says that

        • Stephanie says:

Only some Albertson’s will double regardless, mine in Tigard OR will not.

          • Stephanie says:

That seems against their coupon policy. I personally would contact corporate.

          • Policy says they are not “doubling” the coupon, they are giving you twice the value. So it doesn’t matter if it says Do Not double

          • Samantha says:

Which one in Tigard, OR won’t? I go to the one on barrows and they are awesome! I’ve never had problems using coupons there whatsoever.

            • The one on Barrows is FANTASTIC! The one on Durham near King City is terrible! They recently told me that they could not give me the overage on a coupon. The prouduct was $.70 my coupon was $.75 off. Take a copy of the coupon policy when you shop there. They make up their policy as they go. OR go to Barrows- they welcome couponers, find us product when the shelves are clear, offer rain checks and cheer our savings. LOVE them!

              • Samantha says:

There’s two albertsons that are closer to me and I drive all the way over to the one on Barrows because they are so awesome! I hate to tell people that because it means I gotta get there earlier but I hate to see others having bad coupon experiences! :)

    • The Planters coupon she used is for any Planters product (except pistachios). It is different than the NUTrition one.

    • Yes the coupon I used is off of any Planters product except the pistachios. It does have a size limit on the coupon and both the sunflower seeds (unshelled) and the trail mixes are within those size limits. The sale on the trail mix runs past August when the coupons expire and the sunflower seeds are the regular price minus the coupon and doublers. So there is lots of time to get in on this great price!

    • Mibe is from the SS5/20 and it says NUT-ritition too.

      • Planters Nutrition product (8-75oz -10.25oz excludes bars)is from 5/20 SS Then there is one Planters product (excludes Pistachios) 4oz – 21.5oz sizes only from 6/24 SS. The one from the 6/24 SS is the one I used.

  4. CouponGuy says:

Wow, 17 sets of Doubles. Just curious how you got that many. Buying 17 papers does not seem practical.

    • Jessica says:

Theres so many different places to get doublers. Friends, neighbors, recycle bins, hospitals, elder care centers, local couponers groups, churches… Add $17 to her total and tell me how shes not saving money LOL! They sell papers at the dollar store :)

    • She get’s multiple subscriptions from two different papers. She has a large family!

    • Yes keep in mind that I have 8 children still at home so a family with 2 or even 4 children would not need that many papers. I do order my newspapers from my local paper and also I have a couple of people that give me their coupons. Even ordering my papers at $.54 a paper and getting a return of $3 on doublers alone! Well, worth it for me to order extra papers for my size of family. See our deals for the Idaho Statesman, Idaho Press Tribune and other area newspapers.

  5. Venessa says:

I’m not sure why I can’t find it, but I’ve never seen the doublers in my Sunday paper that you guys always talk about. What am I missing? I’ve never shopped at albertsons b/c it is kinda far, but if I could get some doublers, it’d be worth the trip! I’ve seen Albie ads with store coupons in them, but never doublers. Do they do them in LA? If so, where are they?

    • I do know that Bakersfield gets them in the mail. They are random and come in the ad that is mailed to them. I would think that you are close enough that it would be the same. Maybe call your closest Albertsons and see if the manager would know how often or if they come to LA. Without the doublers there are still some great deals! The Ivory soap bars and vinegar are great! Along with so many other things. I drive 45 minutes round trip to go to my Albertsons. So worth it!

  6. Wow! Very impressive!! Thank you so much for sharing what you did. Huge help.
