Comments

  1. I tried using the Preparation H coupon and the Rite Aid’s in Ontario, OR and Boise. Both told me they could not accept them because they were fraudulent. Rite Aid sent a memo out to all the stores not to accept this coupon. I just checked and the link to Pfizer Consumer Health is still active and there’s nothing about it being fraudulent. Still, free is a good deal, it’s just not a $2.00 MM.

  2. Did anyone else see the promotion for covergirl on the bottom of their rite aid reciept? I purchased 2 covergirl eyeshadows yesterday and got 2 promotional codes. For every covergirl product purchased you get a code to use at riteaid.com/covergirl. 10 points for every code, which can be used for taylor swift merchandise or to enter a contest to win concert tickets. Great for someome with a daughter or friend who loves taylor swift. these expire 12/31/11

  3. Im curious why they dont add what the Up+ Reward goes to in the paper or on the stickers before you actually buy the deal? I did today the Playtex buy $15 get $5 Up+. I did that and on my receipt it said $5 off on halloween costume and accesories??? I thought ALL Up+ Rewards are like cash? Im so confused!

    • Tasha- I am also confused. The +ups are supposed to be toward any purchase of qualifying items (excludes things like lotto, alcohol, etc.). I have never seen one that is like what you describe. Hmmm…

If I were you I think I would be calling 1800RITEAID to ask them why this one is different and why if it was, was it not stated in the ad. Let them know how unhappy it has made you and see if they can help or at least explain.

In the meantime, would you email me a picture of it (with barcode covered) at [email protected] . I will see if I can dig up any info on this.

    • Tasha, I got that $5 off Halloween items +UP Sunday also.  I think it’s just a bonus coupon, similar to an unexpected catalina that will occasionally print out at stores like Albertsons or Fred Meyer.  Usually +UP’s apply to anything (with certain restrictions, as Mel mentioned), but this one was special.

Did you also receive the +up that you were expecting on the Playtex deal?  If not, then as Mel said, I’d definately call Rite Aid because the ad does not give any indication that the +UP is limited to certain items.  But if so, then I’d just consider it a bonus.  I received all the +UP’s that I was expecting to get, and the $5 Halloween +UP printed in addition to them, so I was happy about it.

      Make sense?

On a somewhat related note, is anyone else finding the Rite Aid receipts more confusing to read than they used to be?  Recently I’ve been seeing more little notes on my receipts that I don’t completely understand.  Like last week there was a note that said “Earn $5 on something” (can’t recall the exact item offhand) and then to the right it said “$6.50.”  Does that mean I’ve spent $6.50 towards this promotion (whatever it was), or does it mean I need to spend another $6.50 towards whatever it was?  The cashier didn’t know what it meant either.

      • I have been watching my receipts and I believe that the “6.50″ in your example is what you have spent so far toward the specified promo. That is how it tracked my Dove and Covergirl the last few sale cycles.

If anyone else has any insight we would welcome it!

  4. Can’t remember, exactly, but I believe it was a couple weeks ago. I clip and file right away.

  5. Which Parade was the Comtrex Q in?

  6. This was my list for Rite Aid today (So Cal sales start Friday instead of Sunday):

With tax, I paid $6.01 for everything after Q’s and +UP’s! I’ll go back Sunday to get the Zarbee’s and Emergen-C Immune + Booster since the SCR’s on those don’t start until the 9th. It’s definitely a good week at Rite Aid!!! Pretty good next week, too. :)

    Sunday: SCR’s valid 10/9 – 10/15 only

    Zarbee’s all natural children’s cough syrup 4oz $5.99 get $5.99 scr ($1/1 Q) = $1MM Limit 1

    Emergen-C Immune + Booster 2pk shots $3.49 get $3.49 scr = FREE

    • Mary Ann, the Rite Aid brand hand sanitizer +UP has a limit of 4, not 1.  My Rite Aid store had tons of them in stock on Sunday.  I bought two and got the +UP for both.  If I get a chance to stop by there again this week I’m going to pick up two more.  Four big bottles of hand sanitizer for free is awesome!
