Between 1/8/11 – 1/31/11

Right now the Carnation Instant Breakfast is on sale for $3.99 at Albertsons.

And here are some coupons to go with it:

$2/2 Carnation Printable (this one expires on Sunday for me, because I printed it last month!)
$1/1 Carnation Printable (registration required)
$1/1 Carnation Breakfast Essentials 1/2/2011 SS2  (more on eBay or via a Coupon Clipper service)

**UPDATE:  New Coupon!**

Join the Carnation Instant Breakfast Essentials Club and you’ll get a $1/1 coupon!  (for new members only)

Now, this isn’t one of the most frugal things in the world, but I have personally become sick of cereal (ha ha ha!!!) and am LOVING this for my breakfast!  I’m going to use my $2/2 coupon this weekend, and after the catalina is factored in, the final cost will be $2.49.  That’s $.25 per breakfast.  I think I’ll hold onto my other coupons and wait for possible doubles.  This is a little risky, since I don’t know that doubles and the sale will happen at the same time before the catalina expires.  If you are ordering from eBay or a clipper service, you most likely will not have your coupons before Tuesday.

Questions?  You can find more information on Catalinas, or see the list of current Albertsons catalinas here.

Thanks to reader Nancy and Coupon Connections NW for the catalina tip!

  1. Was at my Albertson”s in Idaho Falls this afternoon and the lady behind me was an Albertson’s employee and told me that there were going to be doubles all next week. She’s not one of the cashiers but is involved with the printing and counting of the doubler papers. Not sure if that means Sunday through Thursday or starting with the next flyer. Wish I had thought to ask!!

  2. I am in idaho and got the carnation breakfast coupon in the newspaper?? Meridian Idaho

    • Katy – which paper did you get? Maybe Sophie accidentally left that one out! I’ll admit to you that my inserts (and the ones from the last 6 weeks in fact) are sitting in a stack by my printer… feeling unloved and neglected!). I know that Sophie gets the Idaho Statesman. 😉 Thanks Katy!

      • idaho statesman in the smart source with the lean cuisine on the cover and lysol coupons on the back. Its on the very first insert page :)

      • I had to double check because I swore I saw that coupon! It is listed on the SS2, maybe you just skimmed right over it :) We got it in the SS2.

        • YES! Hooray! It’s there! I looked off of my blogging buddies post from WA and she had it down as being in the RP. I’ve updated the post to reflect SS. Thanks for bringing to my attention Katy, and thanks Sophie for catching my boo boo! :) I told ya – I haven’t even LOOKED at my coupons! SAD!

  3. I’m excited for this deal, this is a staple in our home. Without doublers, they are 25 cents a pack which is 5 cents a pack cheaper than costco! If we get doublers . . . . Maybe I should call the store and tell them to stock up . . .

  4. elisabeth says:

My oldest son is extremely thin for his age. Doctor’s have run every test in the book & cannot find out why. BUT they recommended putting him on Pediasure. Well, I found that if you mix this Carnation Instant Breakfast in with baby formula (was it $0.88 at walmart?) you actually get more vitamins and more calories/fat than Pediasure! MUCH cheaper too! Just a tip if anyone who normally purchases Pediasure.

  5. I was Albertson’s at Cole and Fairview last night and the person behind the customer service counter told me that there were doubles tomorrow (Sunday). I don’t see them in the paper am I missing something.

  6. So I was at my SW Wa Alb’s tonight, and the Alb’s policy states that they will not double coupons over $1; so they would not double the $2/2 coupon for me tonight. Still a good deal, but it wasn’t clear to me in the original post on the other page that links here. Rookie mistake on my part I’m sure, but it was a bummer!
