Albertsons Round Up Deals

Keep checking back for more updates on this post!

Coupon Round Up is Back!

It’s been nearly a year since we’ve seen the “round up” event at Albertsons! This time, it will last the full 7 days! Basically, any coupon valued at $.25 – $.99 will be equal to $1.00 (or “round up” to $1.00. There is no limit to the # of coupons you can round up. A few things to note about round ups – If the price of an item is less than a dollar, the “rounded up” manufacturer coupon will be adjusted to match the current sales price of the item. For example, if an item is $.80 and you have a coupon that is $.50, the coupon will match the sales price of 80 cents instead of being rounded up to the full dollar. ALSO: For this event sales are limited to stock on hand and Albertsons will not be offering rainchecks. Last time we had round ups, we were able to score some pretty decent deals! Anyone else remember getting super cheap Bounty Paper Towels?

  1. Bleh, bleh, bleh, Albertsons!
    I miss the old days!
I’m hoping for a Post cereal sale this fall….. any idea if one is coming?

  2. Becky-
I like the Bounty and Temptations deal. I thought it was ok, but I was glad to you you confirm it! I also got Twizlers. I don’t have my receipt here, but I think they were $1.50 with card, so 50 cents with round up….sadly, only to find out my children don’t like them! 4 little kids are getting a bonus for Trick or Treat! Does the purina one dog food come in a little tiny box like that? I would like to get those $2 off used, too. Thanks for all your work looking around for deals! <3

  3. I couldn’t find any deals at Albys either, checked all of my low value coupons and walked out empty handed. Went to Walmart, but be forewarned the lines were CRAZY with cashiers trying to do this manually coupon by coupon. After waiting in line for over 40 minutes i gave up and left my freebies for another coupon mama to have. If you’ve ever taken the doublers there and gotten a cashier who can’t do the math, messes it up and you have to go stand in line at customer service to try and figure it out and get it right, it’s pretty much that times 10 with the round up! So agonizingly slow. I guess if you’ve got some time to kill you might find some deals but bring some comfy shoes to wait it out at the register (and for the customer service line after they mess it up!)

    • we did a few items at walmart this morning. around 10 1030 and it was so smooth…made me nervous..they didnt even have a coupon line open so we just picked one. and she was ….NICE! she never grumbled about any of them, used about 10 coupons… one she couldnt really figure out (thats fine) she grabbed a calculator. everything was done perfectly and she even told me thank you!!!!!! :) i should have went straight to the gas station and bought a lottery ticket :)

      • What? You can price match with the albertsons coupon deal? I tried at walmart yesterday and they said they couldn’t do it. I wish all walmart had the same answers.

      • lol, you probably should have bought that lotto ticket, because it most certainly was your lucky day

        • Just to confirm. Some Walmarts are letting you round up coupons this week because Albies is?

          • i wish mine was.

          • Yes – Boise and Caldwell….and perhaps others in the Treasure Valley will honor pretty much anything their competition is doing. I have had zero problem using doublers there. I started going there with my left over doublers as there have been many it seems over the last 4 months or so because they deals/prices are just not good enough at Albertsons anymore. I went and did the roundup there this week – the math thing was an issue, even with a calculator, so I just told her all the prices and what she needed to do and no issues.

  4. All I got was 4 cans of Spaghetti O’s :(

  5. Jell-O for $1.25 each (bigger boxes)
ROUND-UP $0.55/2 coupons found on display
    Minus $5 WYB10 = $2.50 for ten boxes or $0.25 each.

    • What Albies did you find the jello coupons at? I looked at Overland/Orchard today and didn’t see any. I did, though, find bottles of KC Masterpiece BBQ on clearance for $0.84

      • The Jell-o coupons were on the display at my Albies too – in Rexburg. It was an awesome deal on Jell-o! I also found some Yoplait Delights on clearance for 2.50 each after coupon $1.50 for the four pack and some 3 packs of gum on clearance for .50 cents.

        • Jello coupons were located at the 17th Street in Idaho Falls… only at the front display though. Had a huge stack there yesterday afternoon.

      • I found mine in lake Oswego albies!

  6. Looks like this could be a non-shopping sales cycle for me. I really hope the Purina One cat food goes on sale before the 30th (when the coupon expires). Last time this $2/1 coupon was around the 16 oz boxes were on sale for $2.49 and my supply is starting to get a little low.

  7. I agree – “meh”

  8. Ivory Soap 3 pack for $1.59; round up .25 cent P&G coupon for .59 cents final! Nothing else great…

  9. PnkFlamingo says:

I ended up with some kraft salad dressing for .49 each (found .50/1 peelies on the bottles) and then got $1 off some bananas with the $1 off produce wyb 2 kraft dressings. So bananas ended up being like .79. It’s a pretty lackluster sales cycle.

  10. i had the 25 cent off coupon for sunny delight so it rounded to a dollar and the individual ones are ten for ten so i got sunny d for free
not to mention the free essentials pasta from the coupon books that albertsons has inside teh fall savings i think it is called there is a dollar of one coupon in there and the pasta is on sale for 10/10

  11. Kind of a waste for “round-up” week…. too bad.

  12. I totally stocked up on the organic wipes on clearance!

  13. Walmart is price matching, or at least the one on overland is!! I saw the ivory soap too but I mistook it for dial and brought a bunch of those up (which I had to put back :( ) but they had the ivory soap for $1.24 a pack for the bar soap. They also have the trial size skintimates that come with a bonus razor for $1.47 with roundup they’re $0.47 (the computer allowed me to do it so I’m assuming you can use the coupon on them). Bring in your 25/1 dawn and get dawn soap for $0.34, Free tide (they were out when I was there), free floss, $0.97 toothpaste, $0.47 dial… tons and tons of good deals.

    • I did this too. S&W beans were 18-cents, Spaghettios were 22-cents. Free Carmex if you still have that internet printable. The roundup was REALLY GOOD at Walmart this week.

  14. I had a nice shopping trip tonight.

4 EE pasta, on sale for $1, used $1/1 in the fall coupon book = free
4 Nesquick singles, $1.25, used $.35/1 tearpad coupons rounded up, so $.25/ea
2 Haribo gummy bears, $1.29, used $.30/1 coupons rounded up, so $.29/ea
1 Kraft salad dressing, $1.99, used $.50/1 peelies rounded up, so $.99
2 OEP rice sides, $2.09, used $/50/1 printable rounded up, so $1.09/ea
10 Vitamin Water, $1/ea, used 10 $.55/1 tearpad coupons rounded up plus $3 instant savings wyb 10, so $3 overage

    Total oop: $1.95.

    Plus:
    $10.32 in fresh produce
One 12-pack bag of individual bags of Cheetos, free wyb $10 or more in produce. This was a store deal and officially ended on 9/20. The cashier was nice and gave me the deal anyway because the sign was still up, otherwise I would have left the Cheetos.

As others have said, I went through my lower-value coupons and made list, and walked into the store hoping for a lot more deals. I planned on buying the OEP rice because my daughter really likes it and I had coupons that were expiring soon. But other than that, the Haribo candy was the only thing on my list that I ended up buying. It was getting quite depressing until I found the Nesquick coupons, and then I stumbled on the Vitamin Water deal as I was heading for the checkout, which really cheered me up.

The Nesquick coupons looked to be from a tearpad, but there was no tearpad to be found. They were just sitting there in the display, as if someone had just left them there. So, thank you kind stranger!

  15. This week more than any other should teach us to seek out and collect what may seem like inconsequential coupons. We’ve all got used to the ultimate $1.00 off = $2.00 off during doublers that we mentally discard or ignore coupon gathering opportunities in common places. I’d share with you but it really is important for the true coupon addict to know where coupons are for events like this. If I told you where Jello/Pudding coupons are located within Albertsons, one of the many unethical idiots who follow these sites would go take the whole stack. My week has been great and looking forward to sharing with kind couponers I encounter the deals I’ve found. Thank you Albies!

  16. Coupons.com Super Saver member coupon, Idaho and Utah only, $0.75/1 any gallon of milk, Albertsons Shoppers Value Milk $2.69 reg = $1.69 ea after RO. Not great, but freezer worthy!

  17. I went to Walmart since they are honoring the Round up, found Degree Trial sizes .97 (FREE with .75 coup) Yardley Soaps .97 (FREE with .25 coup), Peterpan Peanutbutter $2.08 ($1.08 with .50 coup), Huggies Wipes $1.97 ($.97 with the .50 coup), C&H Sugar 2lb $1.74 ($.74 with .50 coup), Old El Paso Refried Beans $1.25 ($.25 with .50 coup), Haribo $.97 (FREE with .30 coup) Starkist Autentico $1.38 ($.38 with .50 coup), Gold Peak Tea $2.00 ($1.00 with .75 coup), Cascade Trial Size $.97 (FREE with .50 coup), Sara Lee Iron Kids Bread $1.98 ($.98 with .50 coup), Glade Premium Spray $2.50 ($1.50 with .55 coup)

  18. Has anyone verified that the Albertsons butter has the “real California dairy” seal on it?

    • Yes it does, but it is the small pack that is on sale for $2.29…. and they gave me a hard time about using the coupon, they claimed it looked photo copied (my printer is only black & white) and then said they couldn’t accept it because the words were blurry… Grrrr!!

  19. @Kacie…. I cannot seem to find that Yardley soap coupon, do you remember where it was? Thanks!

    • Jenn, I seem to recall that the Yardley soap coupons were in the Parade, or they might have been in an All You. I’m a slipper, so I’m not 100% certain, but that’s what I remembering. They are small with a light blue stripe across the top, if that helps.

    • I think it was in All You, but honestly can’t remember, (it is small maybe 2″x2″ and has turquoise color around it).

    • I think it is from All you…. but I dont know what month it came out of

  20. Helen in Meridian says:

Just a warning. The Pasta coupons will only take one per purchase. I discovered the easiest way to do this is to go to the Self Checkout Persons station, hand them your coupons and one type of pasta. Tell them you have 6; then quickly type in your phone # each time the receipt prints. This way he can monitor other people there and not have to walk over to your station each time. There is a customer monitor on the back of their station for you to type in your number each time a receipt prints. Surprising to grocery tax Idaho, there is no tax on this pasta. I am anxious to try Albertson’s new house brand.

    • My Albertsons over-rode it last night. The coupon states “one per purchase” but it is only deducting one per transaction.

I bought 4 boxes and used 4 coupons, but the register deducted only one of them. It was a little strange because the other three coupons didn’t beep or anything, but they showed up as $0 on the screen. When I inquired, the cashier read the fine print and then manually took off the other 3 coupons.

      .

      • It officially states at the very bottom “ONE COUPON PER CUSTOMER PER TRANSACTION”
        sooo….
officially do we need to split up transactions… or make separate trips in for each box…???

        • I just don’t want to get up there with a bunch and then only be able to get one

        • If the coupon states, “ONE COUPON PER PURCHASE”, then it means that you can use one coupon for each item you purchase. In other words, you must have as many items to purchase as you have coupons. I find that some Albertson’s checkers work harder to find reasons not to let a person use coupons than they do on trying to keep good relations with their customers and having faith that a lot of us have done the research we need to do in order to use coupons right.

I think that Albertson’s corporate is trying to build their relationship with couponers while at the store level they are working on destroying it. I only shop at Albertson’s if there is a deal I can’t find elsewhere. I refuse to shop somewhere and spend my money, only to leave their establishment feeling like I have done something wrong.

          • Actually, when a STORE coupon states ONE COUPON PER CUSTOMER PER TRANSACTION, that is exactly what it means… the register will ONLY TAKE OFF ONE coupon. If you have a nice checker, since it is a store coupon anyways, they will usually just manually take off the rest. I tried this at the 36th and State store and my cashier did exactly that, manually took the coupon off while explaining to me the policy on store coupons with restrictions.

            • I have actually done a little research on this paticular phrase on manufactures coupons and everything I have found states that it means one coupon per item. I could be wrong, along with the multitude of other sites I have checked with, but to the best of my knowledge what I stated above is correct.
Now store coupons are a different species, so I always adhere to seperate transactions when using them. :)

  21. Helen in Meridian says:

My Albertsons on Main/Fairview has Post Fruity Pebbles and Post Cocoa Pebbles for .99. This is a big display back by the milk. The expiration dates or March and April.

  22. Just got back from Albertsons. I had a great trip.

I found the tearpad for Jello so I got 5 large boxes of Jello and 5 of Pudding for just $0.25 each. Our Albie’s has an area near the floral dept where they put lots of manuf cardboard displays. This is where I found a jello display with the coupons.

My Albies also overrode the pasta coupons. She said it was supposed to take them all but they haven’t been able to fix the problem, so they are just overriding. They let me buy 8 boxes for free.

Our Albies is offering a great deal with Ritz. Buy any 2 boxes of Ritz and get them for $1.99 each. Then you also get a FREE box of Crackerfuls with each box of Ritz. Then the Ritz had coupons taped to them $1 of 2. So I got 2 Ritz + 2 Crackerfuls for a total of $2.98. I did try the crackerfuls 75 cent printable but they wouldn’t even try scanning that one.

Two cashiers said they WILL have doublers this week. Not sure if that’s true or not, but one was the cashier manager and they said they just heard it from corporate. So…hoping for doublers on Sunday!

I also saw a deal that I didn’t buy but might be good for someone else. Godiva chocolate gems, normall 4.99, are on sale for $2.49. The packages had a peelie for $1 off 2, so you could get two packages for $2 each.

    • Thanks for the tips heather, I sure hope my store has the ritz deal, we go through a box of ritz a week! Crossing my fingers

  23. What pasta coupon is everyone referring to? I missed something here.

    • Inside the doors at Albertsons there’s a cardboard display with fall coupon booklets. In that booklet is a $1 off coupon for Everday Essentials products. This is Albertson’s new store brand. The EE pasta is on sale this week for $1, so with the coupon it’s free.

  24. I just tried to do the pasta deal, and the store I went too is only letting you get one per transaction. I tried to get two but got denied. The lady behind me with 20 boxes wasn’t too happy when she heard the news!

    • I purchased 7 boxes of the pasta yesterday. While the first coupons was the only one to scan, my checker read the coupon (which says one per purchase) and went ahead any manually entered the other 6. I’m in Idaho Falls.

      • Hey if anyone else was scouring planet earth (of Boise)to find those Jello coupons like me, I thought I would spread the word that I found them in the very back corner by the produce at Overland & Orchard this afternoon.

  25. I found some extra deals today worth sharing…

Gatorade Recover or Prime are on sale $10/10…some of these have $1 hangtags good on either Recover or Prime making them FREE!!!

Also, found Frank’s Red Hot and Wing Sauce in the big bottles on bonus buy for $1.50. With the .50/1 coupons available and rounded up these are only .50 This is a fantastic deal for the big bottles!!!

  26. I had the P&G coupon book and found a decent deal (I have 4 boys in the house) so I used both of the buy one mens body wash and get a deod. free coupon (old spice and gillette). Albies was selling the body wash for $4.19 and I got the deod free and there was a mini body wash attached to it!

  27. Can somebody please tell me where to find the Albertsons roundup ad? I’ve looked in the Wed and Sun papers and don’t see it- must be blind or something ! Thanks!

  28. I think there must be different versions of the Essential Everyday pasta coupons out there. Mine specifically said “one per purchase” in the fine print, but then I’ve read in an above comment that it says “one per customer per transaction.”
