These Garlic Ham & Cheese Rollups are a super easy meal or snack to throw in the freezer and heat as needed throughout the week!  They are very tasty too!

Garlic Ham & Cheese Rollups Recipe

These rollups have a  sweet, soft, buttery garlic dough, with warm ham and the melted cheese!   They are irresistible. I usually like to make a double batch but they don’t stay in my freezer long. They get used for a quick lunch, summer or after school snacks or even a meal for the babysitter to give to the kids.  My son will snag some for his school lunches.

Ham & Cheese Rollups

You can make the dough for this recipe in the bread machine but when I double the recipe I just make it with my Kitchen Aid mixer,  I add all the wet ingredients with the yeast, mix well and knead in the dry ingredients.  It is really a simple recipe and I love having such a diverse type of a meal in the freezer that could be used for snacks, lunch, breakfast or dinner!  Just take them out of the freezer and pop them in the microwave for a few seconds and they are ready to eat!  You can even just let them thaw out for a school lunch!

Garlic Ham & Cheese Rollups Freezer Meal Recipe

Ingredients

    Crescent Dough
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 rounded tablespoon yeast
  • Filling
  • 1 lb of deli ham
  • 16 oz. mozzarella cheese (or whatever cheese you like)
  • 5 tablespoons of softened Garlic butter

Instructions

  1. Mix the dough ingredients in a bread machine or mixer (mix wet ingredients then knead in the dry ingredients).
  2. After dough cycle is complete, separate the dough into two sections on a floured surface.
  3. Roll (with a rolling pin) one mound of dough out until it is flattened to about 1/2 inch thick. It should be about the size of a large pizza.
  4. Spread the softened garlic butter on the dough surface.
  5. Using a pizza cutter, make triangular or pie shaped pieces by cutting straight lines through the dough. (Again, like you would cut a pizza.)
  6. Add ham and cheese to each slice. I placed about 2 pieces of ham and one piece of cheese per slice on the large section of the triangle.
  7. Starting at the large end, roll up the dough with the meat and cheese mixture inside.
  8. Place on greased baking sheet with the end side underneath the roll.
  9. Repeat these steps for your second section of dough.
  10. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Make sure bread is golden brown.
  11. Brush rolls with melted butter and let cool a bit before serving.

  13. Bake as directed. Let cool and then place rolls into airtight bag or container. When ready to eat, warm them up either in the microwave or oven and devour!
