Target is having a FabuLESS week!!

You can get a FREE sample of Garnier Fructis Anti-Dandruff Clean & Fresh Shampoo at the Target Sample Spot. Sample is available while supplies last, so grab it quick if your interested!

Did you get the $5/1 John Frieda Full Repair Coupon?!

If so, you have up to a $5 Moneymaker on your hands!!

Keep in mind, Target prices vary by region.  These are the prices at my Boise, ID Target.  And after ordering my coupons on Ebay (because Idaho didn’t get any John Frieda this round), I went down to Target to price check and special order the items I wanted, and guess what! They don’t special order :(. I did find out that my Target gets their trucks in on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that when my coupons get here, there is still some in stock!  Ahh the if’s of ordering coupons :)

I love pictures when I’m looking for a product for the first time, so I hope these are helpful to you!

Perfect Ends Sheer Mist $8.99
Protecting Root Lift Foam $5.99

Perfect Ends Deep Infusion $8.99

So, there are MANY ways you can work this deal.  Here are the easiest scenarios:

And a $.03 filler item (IF your store will not adjust the value of a coupon down)
Use 3 $5/1 John Frieda Full Repair Hair Item 6/5/2011 SS Insert

I can’t wait to try these new products!  The $3/2 Target coupon is also in the beauty booklet if you got that (it came in a free Beauty Bag sample).

While looking for these, I found out that almost ALL of the John Frieda Products are included in this Buy 3 Get $5 sale!

Here are pictures of ALL the John Frieda products, and out of them all, the only ones I can see that aren’t included in the sale are Root Awakening for Dry Hair.  All other varieties are included (so I’d bet that the dry hair variety is included as well, but is simply not marked).

Here are the coupons I’m aware of that can go towards this sale:

Needing a Stock-Up Price on Hair Color?

Buy 2 John Frieda Precision Foam Hair Color, $23.98
Use 2 $5/1John Frieda Precision Foam Hair Color, excludes trial sizes, TARGET coupon
And $3/1 John Frieda Precision Foam Color Product 6/5/2011 SS Insert (Regional)
Pay: $7.98 for TWO
Receive $5 Target Gift Card
Like paying $2.98 for both, or $1.49 EACH

I used this to lighten medium blond hair to a light blond for the summer (because they sent me a coupon for a free box).  My hair goes about 5 inches past my shoulders, and I would highly recommend using 2 boxes if your hair is that long.

New In The Dollar Spot

Girls Sunglasses $1.00
(these do not have UV protection)

All kinds of Scunci Hair Products $1.00

I JUST paid $3+ at Albertson’s for a 48 pack of these ties for my little ones hair, and the big bands are routinely $3.99.
There are 100 of the ties in the little packages!!

Other Great Deals:

Sorry about the pictures from here on out not being so great… My camera battery was dead from our trip to the Zoo, and I had to switch to my cell phone.

Charmin Toilet Paper is on sale for $17.99, Plus you get a free Charmin Freshmates Tub.
(The pack on sale is 36 double rolls, or 72 regular rolls.  Costco’s pack is $18.99-$21.99 for 30 jumbo rolls or 83 regular rolls)

B1G1 Charmin Products 5/1/2011 P&G Target Insert (regional)
$0.25/1 Charmin Toilet Paper 6/5/2011 P&G Insert
$2.50/2 Charmin Toilet Paper AND Wipes TARGET Coupon 4/10/2011 RP Insert (YMMV)
$1/1 Charmin Toilet Paper TARGET Coupon 4/10/2011 RP Insert

Buy 1 Charmin Toilet Paper, $17.99
Get 1 Charmin Freshmates Flushable Wipes FREE
Use $2.50/2 Charmin Toilet Paper AND Wipes TARGET Coupon 4/10 RP
AND $0.25/1 Charmin Toilet Paper 6/5/2011 P&G Insert
Pay: $15.24 for both!

We like to compare apples to apples around here, so when comparing the number of regular rolls per package, it looks like this:
$.21 a roll at Target (Plus Free Wipes!)
$.22-$.24 a roll at Costco
That’s a STOCK UP price baby!!

Update:

There are reports that some stores aren’t letting the $2.50/2 coupon work without buying a 2nd tub of Freshmates… if that is the case in your store, read this, (and I hope it clears things up).
Okay, so Target has the FreshMate tubs on Sale for $2.49
SO, with the coupon, if you have to get 2 Freshmate Tubs, and the TP, the second tub basically zero’s out the value of the coupon… And this is totally a YMMV deal!  Some stores are requiring 2 tubs, some are not…

So, if you are paying $17.99 for the Toilet Paper, and 2 Free Tubs of Freshmates.  Is it a good deal?  If you like and use the Freshmates, then yes, it’s a good deal.

If however, you are just getting the Freshmates because they are free, then ignore them in the equation.
AND just the toilet paper, with the $.25 coupon comes to $.25 cents per roll… Which is not a stock up price.

But, there’s also speak on the blog-o-sphear of this coupon:
$1/1 Charmin Megaroll P&G Everyday Savings Booklet x6/30 (you have to get these from P&G’s website, and they take about 6-8 weeks to get to you).
The $1/1 coupon makes them $.24 a roll… still not a stock up price, unless you love the Freshmates, or unless you don’t want to go to Costco (we don’t have a card, so this will save me having to beg a friend to take me).

Nexcare Children’s Bandages $1.68
$1/1 Nexcare Kids Bandages, 20 ct, TARGET coupon
$0.55/1 Nexcare Products 6/5/2011 SS Insert (regional, not Idaho)
$0.55/1 Nexcare Product 5/1/2011 SS Insert (regional, not Idaho)

Comments

  1. We just went last night too. I had a Target catalina for 1.00 off any Welch’s fruit snack, and they had big bags of individualized sized ones in the dollar bin – sweet! free!

  2. Nik Davis says:

Also in the Dollar Spot are little packets to add flavor to your drink. 8 for $1. My kids love them for waters. I keep getting them. Walgreens had some too.

  3. I FORGOT TO CHECK THE BOX….PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS POST. THANKS

If I have both a target coupon and a manufacturer coupon for a free airwick warmer with purchase of oil refill and I buy ONE refill and use both coupons do I get TWO FREE warmers? How would I stack these two coupons? Thanks for any help on this!

  4. Brittany says:

I’m confused why you would need a 3-cent filler item with the John Frieda products? You don’t have to have filler items at Target.

    Can you please explain?

  5. Natalie says:

Unfortunately, I also just paid $3+ for some of the clear elastics by Scunci….needed them last weekend for a wedding. Haha, so you’re not the only one!

  6. Cassie Angus says:

i got a $2 off coupon in this Sunday’s paper, but not a $5 for John Freida. Did anyone else get the $5 off coupon?

  7. Thanks for the John Freida info. I was going to head down tomorrow and check it out. I am rather addicted to this stuff! BTW – CUTIE BUG! Love the Do!

  8. Veronica says:

I went to target today and got a great deal on toothpaste clearance 1.48 and I had coupons for .75 cents so I juts paid .73cents so I’m excited cuz I’m starting with this coupons thing :) but target doesn’t have NYC any more and I have 2 coupons for 1 dlls thanks a lot for your advices ohhhhhh and there is a gillete body wash that has two in one and it’s 4 dlls I used my coupons b1g1 free so it’s like 1dll per body wash :D

    • Cassie Angus says:

Awesome Veronica! Keep up the good work and don’t get discouraged if some of your deals don’t work out. Great finds on the toothpaste and bodywash. You will find that over time you will have your own rules such as don’t pay more than ___ for bath products, toothpaste, snacks, etc. Always compare to Costco/Sams Club to make sure you are getting good prices. Congrats again!

    • Simpleton says:

Some Targets have the NYC make-up. I saw it at the Boise Target and was at the store on Eagle Rd and they didn’t have it so I asked and they told me Nampa Target has it but not there store and I then told them the Boise store had it too. So check other Targets for NYC as they might have it. I got those great coupons too.

  9. Veronica says:

Thanks!!!! Do you think that I paid to much in body wash or toothpaste? Another question can I stuck two coupons in one item?

    • Cassie Angus says:

I think you are fine with what you paid! Once you get a stockpile going you will get more picky as to how much you spend. Now that I have a large stockpile on bath items, I don’t want to spend any more than $1 (including tax) for body wash. I don’t have a lot of toothpaste, so I usually base it off of Costco’s prices. It all depends on what kind of toothpaste you get, the whitening or sensitive seems to be more expensive. I also calculate tax in my totals so I know exactly how much I am spending. I think regular Colgate at my Costco ends up being $0.64 a tube so as long as the other store prices are below that I will buy them. You also have to consider driving time and gas prices. If your costco/sams is far away, then it isn’t worth the $0.15 to drive there unless you were already planning on going for other things.

You are doing just fine! Doesn’t it feel good to find great deals and save tons of money?

As for stacking coupons, I would always check your store’s coupon policy. Stacking is defined as one manufacturer coupon stacked with a store specific coupon. You cannot use two manufacturer coupons on one item. Off hand, I know that Reno, NV Smiths does not stack coupons and no Walmarts stack coupons. Target, Safeway, and Albertsons do. I’m not sure where you live and what stores you have around, but look online for their policy or call and ask before you plan a trip.

  10. My Target coupon ($5/1 John Freida hair color & $3/2 John Freida products) state per transaction… I’m new to this but my understanding was that I couldn’t use 2 (for the hair color) since it’s states per transaction. Am I wrong?

    • Cassie Angus says:

If the coupon states “per transaction” then technically you shouldn’t use more than one per transaction. I know some people who will either ask or just run it through and if the register doesn’t catch it then it is fine. My personal opinion is to follow all guidelines placed on coupon instructions so that more limitations aren’t placed. I always expect what the coupon and store policy says and if the manager or cashier override it after I piped up and said something then that is on them. The way I see it is that I can’t complain if they overcharge me on something if I don’t correct them when they undercharge me. Your call :-)

  11. i got 3 root awakening prods today and i not only got the $5 gift card but also another $3/2 coupon (printed out at register) AWESOME!! :)

  12. Oh, and i tried to do the charmin deal with the free wipes with the $2.50 off coupon when you get both, but because the wipes come free, she couldn’t run it. i had my teenager waiting for me in the car so i just had her reverse the tp and wipes out, but if i weren’t rushed and thinking i would have just gone and grabbed another package of wipes to make the transaction work… :(

    • Angelic Buckley says:

I, too, am confused as to how this deal is supposed to work with getting the wipes free. Has anyone done this deal yet, and is it still a better deal than Costco of you have to purchase another tub of wipes?

  13. Wow! Your Target has a huge John Freida section! Mine only has 2 shelves about 2 feet wide. Many of the products were already sold out on Sunday. Just having Target envy. :)

  14. I wish there was a price point list o price per sq ft for toilet paper (like the one for diapers that you published)…..There is a huge difference in roll sizes – both in length and width – and so comparing is difficult unless you look at sq ft price. I know that my mom buys Costco tp and the rolls are HUGE. I can’t imagine them comparing to the huge rolls of Charmin even. A friend suggested that you look at the sq ft total on the package and if it’s a penny per sq foot then it’s a good deal. Example: 325 sq ft for $3.25…….Does anybody know what the $17.99 Target Charmin package has for sq ft?

  15. Jessica B says:

I didn’t read through all the comments yet, just had to say OMG what an adorable little girl, love those cheeks! :)

  16. So I went to Target today and I went to the register to do the JF Hair Color deal, they rung it up but the $5 gift card did NOT come up????? I asked the cashier and she said it wasnt part of the deal….
I had 2 JF Foam Hair Color for $11.99 -thinking I was going to get the card :( I went back to the hair color area to see if there was signage stating the deal (of course there wasnt) then I looked at the ad again and didnt see it posted. Has anyone had any troubles with this or is there somewhere else I can reference it too? I really want to go back and get it if I can get the gift card. Please help, thanks.

    • Cassie Angus says:

My ad just says *other John Frieda products”, but it is listed next to shampoos. The image above included by the postee does say “Free $5 Gift Card” included. I would call your store and talk to the manager and ask again. if they say it is included, go back and have them fix it.

      • Thanks Cassie! I called and they said the same thing?? She said that its possible for diff states to have diff sales? Im in WA state; Never heard of that within the same company but yea…..hmmm a lil bummed since my hair needs a dye job BAD :)

    • How’s this for a solution :)
I took the picture at the Target on Milwaukee in Boise… I went in today to get my deals, and the sign was GONE!! So, however was most of the product I wanted. So, I drove to the Target in Eagle (in 5 O’clock traffic :() and the SIGN was posted!! It very clearly said BUY 2, Get a gift card… good from 6/5 to 6/11…
THEN, when I went to check out, it DIDN’T trigger the Gift Card :( But I got a rockin’ cashier (KAREN) and she just gave me instant credit instead of a gift card…

So, long story short? It’s totally a YMMV. These stores are less than 20 miles from each other :)

  17. Can u remind me again, if i am using a target coupon and a manuf. coupon which one do I give the cashier first?

  18. Thanks for the heads up on the Woolite! The 2 pack was on clearance at my store for $5.48, and I had a $3 off coupon… so a big score for a 2 pack for only $2.48!!!

  19. So if your not a newbie like me…and you got the coupon in the mail for a free Suave professionals product (for taking that quiz a while back), you can get your free product at Target and find that some bottles have a .50 cent coupon attached to it. Don’t assume like I did that it was a mfg. coupon. It’s actually a target coupon that could have made this deal a .50 MM. Live and learn.
