It is time to start thinking about Valentines for your child’s classroom. However, there are a lot of different ideas and potential things you could do, so it can get quite overwhelming! Worry not though, we’re here to help!

The holidays bring so many sweets and loads of sugar for my little ones and while I do not deprive my children of sugar by any means, I do like to choose a sugar-free option when there is a good alternative. That’s why we have been hard at work putting together some creative and frugal non- candy valentines day card options for you.

My kids LOVE these plastic whistles. We got them at a birthday party and have fun running around the house and seeing who can make the longest whistle sound. When I started thinking about Valentine’s Day, these came to mind instantly and I thought they could be a lot of fun to share with friends!

The Cello bags are perfect for this project. They were pretty cheap to buy and made it really easy to keep the prize with the card! This prize would be especially difficult to tie to the card and could easily come off with tape, so the cello bags are the way to go.

Another nice part about using cello bags is that the whistle stays clean instead of rolling around on the floor. 😉 Check out how they turned out and how much they each cost below!
