It was so awesome to be given a prize like that as a five year old and I still have that Mickey today! Within that same visit (they only had one day visits then) I went on the carousel and as it was starting to go, the whole Disneyland band rode on the carousel and played for the duration of the ride. My favorite ride when I was little were the rockets that flew around in a circle and you controlled whether they moved up or down. I’d beg my Dad to take me on them as many times as I possibly could. It wasn’t until years later that I found out that my Dad has a severe fear of heights, and it was a 100% selfless act of love every single time he took me on them.
