How to Find a Good Price Per Diaper (Stock Up Guide)

The average baby uses about 2,700 diapers per year*, costing about $550 if each diaper costs around $0.20 each. That’s a lot of money spent on diapers!

However, since we’re always posting different baby deals, we want to help you get the best diaper prices.

How to Get the Best Diaper Prices

There are three simple steps to getting the best diaper prices:

  1. Know your price points.

  3. Never pay full price again!

Other Ways to Save Money on Diapers

1. Don’t stock up on newborn diapers

Newborn diapers tend to be more per diaper because there are less in the package. Most babies will only wear an N diaper for only a week or two so do not make the mistake of stocking up on these.

In fact, many babies can go straight the size 1 and skip the N all together! After the N, the bigger the baby gets the more expensive the diapers. The price per package may be the same, but the number of diapers in the package gets to be less and less.

2. Don’t upsize too fast

In order to save more money don’t be in a rush to get bigger diapers for your baby. Try to keep your baby in the smaller sizes longer if they still fit.

This will help you save money because as we said above, the bigger the diaper the more expensive they get.

3. Order your diapers from Amazon

One of my new favorite places to buy diapers is Amazon.com! They often have really great deals and it’s so convenient since the diapers will get shipped right to your door.

Plus, Amazon actually tells you the price per diaper so you can be sure if you’re getting a good deal or not. You can also potentially get free shipping, and faster shipping if you’re an Amazon Prime member (try a free trial here).

By the way, did you know Amazon offers deals for families? You can save an extra 20% off diapers with Amazon Family (there are other perks too). You can save even more off your purchases with the Subscribe & Save feature.
