What is ShopPerk?

ShopPerk is a new web app that’s all about making smart shopping easy. Every day. For everyone. It was created with the goal to merge three key grocery shopping experiences -finding recipes, finding deals and making a list – into one cohesive experience that saves you money while leaving you excited about planning your meals.

How does it work?

It’s a lot of work to keep track of deals and making sure you’re making the smartest decisions at the store. It’s even harder when you consider how busy we are today with work, family, and if you’re lucky, personal hobbies. ShopPerk helps make those smart decisions easier – what to buy and what to make with it.

I LOVE that you can choose delicious looking recipes from their HUGE selection and then add all or some of the ingredients you need to a shopping list stored right in your app! Just take your list to the store with you and purchase those items. You now have a recipe and everything you need to make it when you get home. It’s a great way to stay organized and liven up your dinner routine. (It may even cut down on the time you spend surfing Pinterest for your next dinner recipe only to be discracted  by an ah-MAZ-ing DIY project in which you become so facinated with you completely forget about menu planning…) I’m totally guilty!

Another great feature I really like about the ShopPerk app is the “Deals” section. You just put in your zip code and it’ll show you deals from stores in YOUR area! Some of the stores featured include; Walmart, Target, Albertsons, Costco, Fred Meyer, Walgreens and LOTS more!

Additional ShopPerk Features: Articles about food, articles about eating and what it means in culture, tips on saving money, reducing food waste and all kinds of things.

The really cool part…

Customized shopping! The more you use ShopPerk, the smarter it gets! As it learns more about you, it offers you deals and recipes to match your lifestyle which can save even MORE time. Cool huh!?

While exploring the ShopPerk app, I found it to be very user friendly with a simple and easy to read appearance. The recipe pictures are FABULOUS and I loved reading through some of the stories and helpful tips. Overall, I am super excited for the app to come out!

My Review

I got to go to IHOP last Saturday and try the NEW  for a LIMITED TIME Brioche French Toast! I took the boys for breakfast after soccer. This was  HUGE breakfast! Not only did I get the two think pieces of french toast I also got eggs, 4 slices of bacon and hash browns. This was totally a meal I could share! Sweet deal! Feed two people for less than 8 bucks!

LOVED THE FRENCH TOAST: I could not decide what I liked more the thick and rich taste of the french toast, the crunchy toasted pecans or the whip cream on top! Note: Brioche French Toast is only available until June 2^nd , 2013. So you better hurry and get ya some!

•  CSPI found that fried chicken fingers, burgers, and French fries continue to dominate the kids’ meals landscape, with 97 percent of the nearly 3,500 meal possibilities not meeting CSPI’s nutrition criteria.
•  All of SUBWAY® restaurant’s eight children’s meals, which include a 4” sub, apple slices and low-fat milk or bottled water, amount to less than 430 calories, less than 35% fat, 0 % trans fat, 35% added sugars and 770 mg of sodium, and meet both the expert and industry nutrition standards (CSPI’s and the National Restaurant Association’s Kids LiveWell Nutrition Standards).
• SUBWAY FRESH FIT FOR KIDS™ meals have been approved by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), with whom SUBWAY® restaurants has partnered to help fight childhood obesity.

I was so thrilled when they recently offered to let me try some of their products! They sent me this 14 Essential Oil Set very neatly packaged in a brown gift box. It included 7 singles and 7 synergies all with sealed caps.

I was most excited about the synergy blends. My absolute favorite is the Relax Synergy for mental relaxation! (I have two littles, need I say more… ) I mainly used it in the evenings before bed. I just dabbed it on my wrists and diffused it in my bedroom. The smell is wonderful! I could definitely feel a difference in my ability to wind down from the day and shut my mind off to go to sleep!
