My 6 year old daughter spent a long weekend with her cousin. When they ran out of games to play my sister in law told them to “think really hard” of something they could do together that would be “REALLY fun!”

I realized I was addicted to Coupon Crack last weekend when I found a Fall Coupon Book from Albertsons in my 7-year-old’s backpack. She was packing for a sleepover at a friend’s house and thought she’d take it “just in case.” Not sure why she was thinking a sleepover might include grocery shopping, but the only way I could convince her to leave it at home was by telling her we should wait and see if we got any doublers on Sunday.

When you are in the check out line at Walgreens and see some teenage girls buying one box of tampons. You show them in the ad where they could buy two boxes and get a Register Reward and that would mean they could get two boxes for the amount they were going to paying for the one box. They give you a weird look. You say, “You know you are going to be having periods for the next 40 or so years. You may as well stock up.” They give you another weird look and buy just one box.

I knew I was addicted to Coupon Crack when my 3rd grader told his teacher he could not draw a picture on his school paper after finishing his assignment early because, “My mom uses the back of my papers to print coupons on!” I had a pretty good laugh. It is so true. Saves me a lot of money on paper with 3 elementary school children and their numerous assignments.

I took my 5 year old son to the dentist office for a cleaning. Afterwards, he picked out a toothbrush. Then the hygienist told him to pick a bag out to put his toothbrush in. As all curious 5 year olds are, he looked into the bag to see what was in it. It was the floss that caught his eye but the coupon. He started yelling “MOM, I gotta a coupon!!! This is AWESOME. Now we can get us a free toothbrush with this coupon.” Everyone in the office laughed and still today talk about him and his coupon experience. You might be addicted to coupon crack if your 5 year old is more excited about a coupon then a free toothbrush and dental floss. I am so proud of Big A, mom is training him well.
