My in-laws, who turned me onto the recipe, wouldn’t tell me what was in it until after I had tried it, and declared that I liked it (which is saying something because I’m a pretty picky eater).  I highly recommend keeping a “don’t tell until after eaten” policy.   However, if you can get beyond the ingredients, (and the name) it’s FANTASTIC!  And super cheap!  I’ve never really liked baked potatoes, but these are AMAZING!  So yummy, fabulous, and easy!

  • Baked Potatoes
  • Ketchup
  • Grape JELLY (Jam doesn’t work)
  • Hamburger
  • Sour Cream, Cheese, or other toppings

  1. Bake Potatoes
  2. Brown hamburger (starting when your potatoes have about 10 minutes left to bake)
  3. Add equal parts Ketchup and Grape Jelly to hamburger
(Aprox 1/2 cup each per lb of hamburger)
You need aprox 1/3 lb of hamburger per potato you plan to serve
  4. Stir until well mixed
  5. Serve over baked potato, top with sour cream, cheese, or anything else that sounds good

I have all the ingredients on hand, but, I’m curious… Similar taste to manwich?

    • Nope! Like nothing I’ve ever tasted… It’s so BEYOND fantastic! And it really offsets the starchiness of the baked potato. The name/ingredients sounds weird, but it’s really quite delicious!

This reminds me of the meatball recipe where you put grape jelly and chili sauce in a pan with your browned meatballs and cook.
