Albertsons Double Coupon Deals (or TWICE THE VALUE) for July 17th – July 19th

Remember that Twice the Value coupons will only be available in your newspaper. So make sure you have a newspaper subscription so you do not miss out.

Keep checking back for more updates on this post!

TIPS for shopping with double coupons at Albertsons:

  • Don’t forget that you can make a shopping list right from the site! Watch Monica’s video on how to make this post your personal shopping list!
  • Are you taking your doubles to Walmart? Find out why we recommend using your coupons at Albertsons!
  • Remember that you can only double THREE coupons in one transaction. Often times, you’ll see us only use 3 coupons in one transaction, double all three coupons, and pay a very small “out of pocket”. And we’ll do this three times in a row!
  • If your double coupon creates “overage” on the product, the double value will be adjusted down to make the product free. Most Albertsons register systems have been upgraded and will automatically do this as this aligns with Albertsons Coupon Policy.
  • Where to find the doubles: You can get Albertsons doubles in the Sunday paper and from your store. Most stores keep them right at the registers.
  • New at this? Make sure you understand all the rules with Albertsons Double Coupons.

Thanks for supporting Fabulessly Frugal by printing your coupons HERE! It’s just one way to keep the deals coming!

No star: Good price, you may as well pick it up if you’re there (if you need it).
★- means prices are better than generic/wholesale/mass store prices, buy a few if you need it!
– means this is when we stock up!!! {aka Extreme Couponing… done right}

  1. You won’t be able to double the Hidden V alley Ranch Coupon if it expries on the 16th. Doublers aren’t here till the 17th.

  2. No cat on the Quaker cereal- tried it, manager comfirmed it. So don’t go load up on coupons based on this scenario like I did.

    • Quaker Life doesn’t have a catalina but the Oat Squares should they are the ones advertised for this deal :)

  3. Nicolie says:

Also, the Hidden Valley Ranch coupon says Do Not Double.

  4. Nicolie—most coupons say “do not double”—that means the manufacturer will not double–but when the store (Albs) is doubling, they are taking the $ loss, not the man–Albs DOES double coupons that say “no double”.

***I’m concerned that with the doublers only in papers we will see an increase in newspaper theft—I hope not…***

    • I hope that the newspaper theft will not increase also! I know a couple carriers and they have told me that for every sunday complaint, they get charged $2.00..they only get paid .50 to deliver the paper…also after so many complaints from the same person, they could lose their JOB! I really hope that when people do complain that it is a valid complaint and not just someone wanting to get more coupons and doublers!

      • My husband bought my 3 papers for me this morning. I was very disappointed to find NO smartsource in my 3 Tacoma News Tribunes. All the Doublers were there, but it is a shame that one can’t just grab a paper and trust the contents will be undisturbed. I will be signing up for the Fab News Tribune deal you previously posted about to hopefully avoid this in the future!

    • I am happy to hear that the police are watching the stands and are aware of the problem, and at least one person in Boise has been prosecuted so far. Since all the newstands in my area get wiped out by 7 am (and I’m sure none of them are paying $2 a paper, they are paying $2 and grabbing all the papers) I have to drive all the way to the closest store and check to make sure that a thief hasn’t taken the doublers out of the papers there. Why doesn’t Alby’s just link it to their card so we don’t have to jump through all these hoops fending for papers wasting trees, paper and ink to get a good deal? I would love to get the newspaper deal but not everyone can get it.
If i could get up early enough I should just go stake out the newspaper stands with a camcorder and report the thiefs, the statesman gives a nice reward for prosecution of paper stealers, might be more worth my time than running all over town to spend $2 on a paper to get $3 worth of doublers!

      • heather says:

just so ya know the statesman did NOT prosecute the lady they caught red handed!!! they used it as an educating moment to teach people that it is stealing…..such morons, all they did was announce to the whole town they can steal and not get prosecuted!! I have thought about staking out any of the ones by my house because it makes me sooo mad that people so are dishonest…I get 10 paperes delivered so it doesn’t directly affect me but now I let my 80 year old neighbor grab a paper off my porch on sundays before we get up she just leaves the ads because they are always wiped out at the box and she gets very upset when she walks her dog down in the morning and cant get the paper on sunday…everyother day its there just not ad days….SUCK!!!

    • Nicolie says:

Thanks so much! This is great to know!

  5. I was thinking the same thing about the newspaper theft. It has already been bad with people stealing the inserts, now what is going to happen?

  6. Just FYI you need to change your initial information about Albertsons doublers post.. they no longer will have them at the store for you according to articles I read this week. :)

  7. The Poptart mini’s aren’t on sale at my Albertson’s are they at anyone elses?

  8. Albertsons in

  9. Amanda B. says:

I did the Nature Valley Thins deal about two weeks ago and got the $$Cat, but not the free milk Cat. Is the milk cat back?

  10. Jainnine says:

How many Albies doublers will be in the paper inserts? I hope it is more than 3. Do you know why they decided to do it this way? Do you know if they will go back to the “ask at the counter” and get 3 sheets of doublers?

  11. For the cereal deal if you have previously gotten the $2/5 catalina you can buy 8 boxes, use 4 $1/2, double 3, use catalina mentioned before, get 2 – $2 catalinas back and 2 catalinas for milk – ends up being 85 cents a box.

    • thanks for that scenario! Is there a reason I couldn’t use more $1/2 coupons? I can use one coupon per box right, so can’t I use 8 coupons total? Or does the $2/5 coupon mess it up, because I have the coupon too!

      • If you are using a $1.00/2 coupon you can only use one coupon per two boxes you buy.

      • if you buy 8 boxes you can use $1 off 2boxes = 4 coupons. I know using them this way will work because I got them before the doublers. have them use the store coupon (catalina) last, last time I did this they did the catalina first and the price of one of my coupons automatically changed to 67 cents, don’t know why.

    • To my knowledge the $2/5 can not be used in conjunction with the $1/2 coupons because it is a manufacturer’s coupon too…at least the catalinas I received for $2/5 General Mills were. :)

      • Actually in Brandy’s scenario since the catalina is a manufactures coupon if you buy 8 you could use one $2/5 and and one $1/2.

If you want to use one $2/5 and 4 $1/2 you would need to buy 13 boxes.

        • I actually already got 8 boxes without the doublers because I was low on Lucky Charms (my daughters favorites) and needed milk. I only bought 8 boxes, used the 4 $1/2 and the $2/5). All of the catalinas that I get say manufacturer coupon but I can stack them with the ones from the sunday paper or ones I print.

          • Brandy, the only reason you were able to do this deal is because your cashier didn’t catch the mis-use of the coupons. You cannot stack mfr coupons on the same items. The $2/5 overlapped with some of the $1/2 coupons in your group of 8 boxes. Your catalina you used is actually a mfr coupon comparable to the coupons in Sunday papers. Sometimes the catalinas are a little different (e.g. get a free item), but with this one, you just lucked out on your recent trip with a cashier that wasn’t paying attention.

    • Brandy how is that possible u said buy 8 boxes and use the $2/5 boxes cat and then 4 x $1/2 boxes. You would have to buy 13 boxes as the catalina is a manufactured coupon .

      • Yvonne Bush says:

It happened because she cheated and the cashier did not catch it apparently. This is actually coupon fraud because you are using more then one coupon for the same item which is against the rules in couponing. I work at a store and if you tried this at my store our system would give us a message “too many coupons” I am suprised Albertsons registers do not do this

  12. Um the Ranch coupons expire on the 16th, and doublers don’t come out till the 17th, so I don’t think you can get that deal.

  13. Jennifer says:

If I use my previously received cats from nature valley granola bars to buy more granola bars, will i get new cats?

  14. Will these doubles be AvaIlable in Southern California? They normally only double up to 1 dollar here at the most

  15. Any word it The Recipe Collection are included in the S&W bean deal? Thanks in advance :)

  16. Wasn’t there a printable $2/3 pop tarts coupon recently that would make them a better deal?

    • Nicolie says:

Yes there is a $2/3 Pop Tarts Coupon that I printed off the internet recently. Bought them this morning. Bought 3 boxes of Poptarts, used my $2/3 coupon, paid $4 and received a $1 Catalina. Great deal!

      • Cheryl H says:

WINCO has the 12pk of poptarts on sale for 1.98. Using the $2/3 coupon makes them each 1.33. I believe Albs has the 6pk on sale. So, for .33 more you get 6 more poptarts!!

  17. Angelic Buckley says:

The best price that I can come up with for the granola thins are $2.75/4 ($.68 ea.) because you can only double 3 of the 4 $.75/1 coupons. Am I missing an extra savings somewhere? Thx :-)

  18. Jeanette Harris says:

My doubles coupon stated that it could not be used on dairy. :( So I had to change a few things at the check out. Did anyone else notice this? Maybe this is not strictly enforced?

    • I have never noticed that. Anyone else?

    • I have never noticed it either (I will definitely look at the doubler coupons tomorrow morning 7/17), but I know that I have used them numerous times on sorts of dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt, butter – I LOVE dairy coupons) without any problem whatsoever at all the Albertson’s stores I’ve shopped at.

    • It’s not on the verbiage in Idaho.

  19. Be careful with the Tyson deal. The $1/1 coupon is for frozen Tyson Grilled and Ready chicken. I’ve called 5 different stores in our area to verify and they all have only the refrigerated on BOGO not frozen. There is a .55/1 coupon for the refrigerated Grilled and Ready but I did not receive it :(

  20. Thanks so much for putting this list out so early! I have passed it along to my Alb’s manager so he knows what to order more of.

  21. I saw a reference to an August All You coupon for the Carnation Breakfast…any chance of putting up the full August All You coupon list? Are the August issues in the stores? Thanks!

  22. Cheryl H says:

There is a B1G1 free coupon on for the WhoNu cookies. Use zipcode 77477 . Will make for .25 cookies!!

    • Awesome thanks Cheryl! :)

      • Carolyn H. says:

I have a question about that coupon! Can I use a B1G1 and $1 off coupon on two boxes of these cookies? Then double the $1 off one box? I hope that makes sense. Thank you for everything you guys do!

        • heather says:

yes..the gigi is for the free item you are buying 1 andd that coupon then entitles you to another for free, the 1.00 coupon is off the one you are buying and you can double it as long as it does not excede the price of the item

    • jennifer says:

you get a catalina for the milk on the gm deal. i did it today with the fruit snacks since the coupons i had expire on saturday..really wish they would of been good for one more day to make it a better deal but my kids love fruit roll ups so o well!

  24. My store typically does not keep the doublers once they are used, and they let me keep them. Does anyone know if they will now be required to keep them?

    • jenifer says:

I think the store is supposed to keep them otherwise you’d be able to use the same 3 doublers over and over again and if that were the case we wouldn’t have this issue of people stealing newspapers to get more. And fyi for everyone walmart also sells news papers for $1

  25. The Snackwell’s cereal bars are a double dipping deal this week and a money maker with doubles! I received both Wednesday morning for this scenario!

    Buy 2 Snackwell’s cereal bars
    use $1/2 Nabisco
    use double
Pay 3.00 oop, receive $1 cat AND a $3 Nabisco cat

The details of the $3 catalina are

    Snackwell’s Cereal Bars
    between 7/11/11 – 8/7/11
Buy 1 and get $1 oyno
Buy 2 or more and get $3 oyno

Additionally, there are $1/1 peelies for these and a .75/1 coupon if you’re so lucky to have them!

  26. On the malt-o-meal deal, if I am wanting to buy 4 of them, would I need to break it up into 2 transactions to get my 2 cats? I have 2 of the $1/2 coupons, but also a buy 3 get one free coupon.

  27. The S&W coupon states it’s “good on the NEW recipe collection beans”. Last time this deal came around my store only had the STANDARD cans of beans available and not the not the NEW collection. Do you know if this coupon will work for the STANDARD cans of beans? Thanks.

  28. The store that I used today (not Albies), would only allow the “New Recipe Collection”. They were 9 cents more than the regular S&W beans but with the coupon, the beans were only 32 cents each. Not bad!

  29. Can you use a BOGO free coupon, and a 1/1 coupon for the same item at albertsons? like with the whonu cookies coupons for example?

    • yes – i used them both today. the $1 off coupon goes towards the one you are paying for, the BOGO for the free. super good deal on them with doublers, still only 75 cents a box without.

    • The dollar off coupon is off of the one you are buying. The BOGO coupon gives you a discount on the other. So yes, you are using 2 manufacturer coupons on two separate items. You could not use 2 of the $1 off coupons and then also the BOGO coupon.

      • Yvonne Bush says:

at most stores you cannot use another coupon with a BOGO coupon. If you read the coupon it usually says the coupon is for the products indicated which means it is for the 2 products you are buying for the coupon. I work at FM and we will not do another manufacture coupon with a mfg BOGO. If it is a FM coupon then you can use mfg coupon with it but not a mfg BOGO

    • great! thanks so much for the info!

  30. Safeway has the Wonderful Pistachios on sale for $4.99 and then BOGO which is $2.49 each……add on top of that your manufacturer coupons and the deal is much better than at Albertstons….even with doublers.

    • But with Safeways policy you have to buy 4 to use the coupon since you can’t use a cents off on a free one.

      • correct, but it is still a better deal

Buy one at $4.99, get one free = $2.49 each. Total for 4 items is $9.96 (This alone would be cheaper than the Albies price of $3.99 each when using a doubler)

Use $1/2 coupon – Total reduced to $8.96. Price per item is then $2.24 (a full $1.75 less than the Albies price with doublers.

Also, they had the “Everybody Nuts” Pistachios on the same deal, which the coupon for those eas $1/1. that works out to $1.99 each.

  31. There is a 2.00 coupon kellogs poptart coupon making the 3 for $6…really 3 for $4, plus you get a 1 catalina. I think that is pretty good. Does anyone else have this coupon?

    • I have this coupon and the ad I have actually shows the Pop-tarts as 3 for $5, so with the coupon and the cat they would be .66 each.

    • I have this coupon as well and had issues using it because the coupon is missing the short bar code (only had two bar codes?) and will not scan. They did ring it through manually but are not obligated to per policy.

      • Yvonne Bush says:

store should honor these coupons with the longer bar code. There are alot of coupons coming out without the shorter barcode. The store I work at these longer ones work as long as we scan them on the scanner/scale and not with our hand scanners or IPADs which we have at SCO.

  32. Did anybody in Idaho actually get the $1/2 Gulden’s coupon?

  33. If your wanting to get the Weber Grill Mates, save your twice the value Q. Winco has them for .55. I live in Twin and just picked mine up the other day. Happy shopping tomorrow!! :)

  34. bought 20 yoplait yogurts today and got a $2 cat. what a pleasant surprise!

  35. What does ymmv mean? Sorry if already asked, thank you.

  36. the franz coupon for a dollar off one has ended, it wouldn’t let me print it.

  37. The Franz printable coupon is no longer available. Just an FYI.

  38. Just a FYI…..there is only going to be 2 doublers per transaction. :(

    • Bummer!

    • What are you talking about? My sheets of doubles all have 3.

    • Danielle says:

What?! If that’s true, then that’s really stupid and inefficient since they GIVE YOU THREE! One reason why they’re not giving them out any more is so people won’t use so many of them, and as a result, have less transactions, and not hold up lines as bad. This just kind of defeats that whole purpose if they’re really going to be doing this… maybe even makes things worse than before!

      • I was there at my local Albies this AM and my TTVs went as usual with using three per transaction. My lovely cashier did say that there was some sign posted by where they clock in saying that there will only be 2 TTV coupons in the newspapers, but she said that “obviously the sign was wrong!” ?? She laughed though when continued to state that because she said that I was the third person this morning using TTV coupons like normal. Interesting if the change is coming, but I had no issues today…

BTW, I too got an additional $2 cat when I bought my NV Thins….nice surprise! 😉

      • Kim- are you in the Northwest or California? I know in California the doubles that they mail only come in sets of two, but in the NW we still are getting sheets with three doubles on them.

        • Sorry, I was in the store last night and signs were posted all over the store that they were only going to have 2 doublers/transaction. I was pleasantly surprised this morning!! :)

  39. Angela G says:

I was told by the Albertsons in Ontario that they will be selling the Argus for $1 !!!!! that’s right!!!!!! Since there’s no rp then why spend the extra money? They ordered in 300 of them so they should have plenty – that’s a great price if you feel like you needed more papers this week.

  40. FYI, I got a $1 cat with my purchase of 3 Emerald Breakfast on the go this morning! That makes it .50 for all 3 boxes or .16 cents a box!!!!!

  41. Anybody other than me notice that the Oregonian does NOT have the double coupons in them anymore??

    • Stephanie says:

My 3 oregonians all had doubles.

      • Do you get them delivered? They are kept behind the register now at my Albertson’s and none of them had the doubles. I live in Eugene, so I can’t get the Oregonian delivered for less than $3 per paper! :( The Register Guard has them, but the coupons in that paper are horrible! About 1/2 of what you get in Oregonian. Sooooo disappointed right now.

        • I purchased the early edition Oregonian in Vancouver, WA on Saturday. It had the Alberstons doubles in it. Maybe you could try a different store?

        • Heather says:

mine never has the ttv either, i always have to get the local paper (newsreview) to get ttv.

  42. I was just at the albertsons on fairview and cole they are currently giving four bars of dove soap away for free just need preferred card. Also they printing two, 2 dollar catalinas for the general mills ceral for each 4 you buy plus the free ceral

  43. Do you ever do a Sunday list that does not include doubles. I am not able to use doubles & so it would be wonderful if there would be a separate list. Please don’t think I am ungrateful for what you already do – I love this site it is so helpful & I have switched over from all the other sites I used to use to using only yours. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the time & effort put into helping us save money. Blessings!

    • If you look at the Albertsons post earlier in the week it does not include the double (just the sale for the week) An easy way to get to it is go to the stores icon (toward the top of this page) and select Albertsons. It will take you to all Albertsons related posts and you will find the regular sale match up posted there. :-) Hope it helps :-)

    • Debi, they post a weekly Albertsons matchup on Wednesdays when the ad comes out. Since the ad runs Wed-Tue, if there are not doublers on Sunday, then the prices and matchups from the Wednesday post still apply.

Of course, if new non-advertised sales come along throughout the week, the FF gals are great about posting them.

You can easily find the weekly post by clicking on the “Stores” link at the top of the screen, and then click “Albertsons.” I normally grocery shop on the weekend and frequently refer back to the earlier, mid-week post.

      Hope this helps.

  44. courtney oliver says:

FYI…for every 3 Emerald boxes a $1 cat is printing, and for every 4 boxes of Fiber One Brownies (yum) TWO $2 cats (plus a milk cat) are printing. Loves it:)

    • I got two $2 cats plus the milk cat for the General Mills cereal and granola bars as well. The extra cats were a nice, unexpected surprise.

  45. Brandi O says:

For the Fiber One brownies AND the Nature Valley Granola Thins, when I purchased four of each I got TWO two dollar CATS plus the free milk for each transaction.

    Very good deal :)

  46. Okay, sounds like doublers are confirmed for PNW for this weekend. No longer available in stores. Did my part and went out (Central Oregon) and bought 4 Oregonians this morning (at Albertsons no less). There were NO TTV coupons in the paper. Had a Bulletin delivered to the house, also no TTV coupons. Why can I not get my hands on the TTV coupons this weekend??? Very frustrating. Anyone else in Oregon that can help me out??

  47. Apparently MT folks didn’t even get a last chance at the doubles before they were gone for good. None in my paper today :(

  48. Rich, one of our managers, in Ontario, wanted me to let you know that he has a huge supply of the general mills cereal and bars.

  49. Jennifer says:

another good deal i found at albertsons is the Hot Pocket snackers are 2.79 (everyday price) so with the 1.00/2 coupon and a dbler from a few weeks back (sorry i don’t remember exactly wich insert) makes them only .79, seemed like a pretty sweet deal to me! Idaho Falls albies now carry them, they didn’t have them in stores that i saw when the coupons first came out with last round of doublers.
I too was surprised and pleased to see the extra 2.00 cat for the Nature Valley thins, just wish i could of gotten the brownies too but my store was out yesterday, hope they get more before tuesday!

Also here there were no signs or mentions of reducing to only 2 dbls per transaction, i really hope it doesn’t happen, limiting to 3 is hard enough!

  50. I live in Snohomish WA and our Everett Herald that we had delivered did indeed include a TTV insert. I stopped by the market before church and picked up 4 additional Everett Herald papers. To my surprise, there was NOT A SINGLE TTV insert in these 4 papers. What the heck?

    • I live in Gig Harbor, WA and we had TTV inserts in the Tacoma News Tribune.

    • Christine says:

I know there is coupon stealing but a lot of times it is they just don’t have enough inserts. They guarantee them to subscribers but no such guarantee for buying at the stand.

    • Danielle says:

I always look through my papers before I buy them at the store. Been several times I would have been gypped if I hadn’t.

  51. I was happy to find the tidy cat scoopable cat litter on sale for $5. I found a dollar off coupon on their websiet, and got it for $3 a box. I printed three at the office, bought three for $3 each, paired it with my rain check for cheap chicken breasts, and got quite a deal. I used my $4 in catalinas from my cereal, a $5 off a $25 purchase, and spend $18 for 11 lbs of chicken breasts, 3 containers of cat litter, and some free chocolate milk. I was a happy girl!!

  52. Melissa Pope says:

Where is the crystal light coupon? It says 6/12 but not SS or RP? I really want this deal :)

  53. Does anyone know if mix match the Fiber One and Nature Valley. For instance, can I buy 2 of each and receive the cats?

    • I mixed Nature Valley, Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks, and Honey Nut Cheerios (no fiber one bars left!) and received 2 $2 cats and the free milk cat.

  54. Southern CA didn’t get any doublers in the papers…we only get them on the back of the book of values (not on the ones in the store) and they don’t make it to the mailbox a lot of the time!

  55. Newbie here in a city that has no regular double coupon stores. Hy-Vee does it maybe twice per year. We don’t have Albertson’s anymore :(.
I need honest feedback on if its going to be possible to really save with coupons without a store that doubles. Is Walmart my only option?

  56. Can any one tell me what does TTV means ?
Went to Lingo (under Learn to be a Frugal tab), can’t find it.

    • TTV = “Twice the value” (we need to add that – sorry!)

      • Thanks Cathy…

Another questionif I may…I was reading the earlier blog about missing insert in Sunday ppr (out of the news stand)… question is:
Does taking insert of the Sunday insert (unsold Sunday paper) from coffe shop consider illegal?

        Thanks in advance.

        • Christine says:

I get them from coffee shops from papers others have bought read and then discarded either in the recycling bin or on the tables. Taking them from papers that have not been purchased is a big no no.

  57. Arianne says:

Thank you so much for all of your hard work on this site!

And just an FYI: don’t know if anyone has pointed this out yet but there is a $1.50 off any 2 Emerald Nuts products 7.5oz or larger on the inside of the Emerald Breakfast to Go boxes.

  58. Yvonne Bush says:

I read some where recently that Albertsons will no longer have doublers available at their stores and I also talked to a cashier that works there and she said the store are no longer carrying extra doublers.

  59. I am not sure what happened as but I bought 14 boxes of honey nut cheerios, 6 boxes of lucky charms, 6 boxes of pop tarts, and 2 franz breads… Paid OOP 46.00 Used10 $1/2 cereal coupons, 2 $2/3 pop tart coupons (but they only rang up the coup. for $1 each off 3), and 2 Franz $1/1 and 1 page of doublers) BUT DID ANYONE GET A MYSTERY CATALINA? I got spit out 2 $1/$1 coupons from the pop tarts. 5 $2/$2 coupons for the cereal. But then I got 5 $2/$2 general mills catalinas. That is an extra $10 worth of catalinas. Anyone else this lucky?

  60. Christina says:

Heads up the coupon for tortillas guerrero is no longer available. Also there is a albertsons GM deal for boxtops check albertsons site or boxtops4edications for more info.
