  1. I noticed that some of the commments have been receiving different information. When I had an issue with my local ALbertson’s I posted on the face book page the question I was having and got a very quick response. They e-mailed me directly and wanted to know which store I shop at so they could inform the store director of the issue and make sure they were following corporate policy. It’s worth a shot!

    • Same here…..I called corporate (number at bottom or receipt) and they asked for the cashier name (also on the receipt) and had the store manager call me….they also (by request) emailed me their coupon policy…which I printed with the rep’s name and date of email….no problems since then

    • Great thanks Janelle & Tali for sharing this great tip! I know it’s hard when running such a big company to keep everyone on the same page, so that’s a great share for those having issues with couponing at their local Albertsons! Thanks again!

  2. Hello! Just wondering… Did you do all these transactions back to back? I know they say only 3 transactions at a time and I am always afraid that if I go to my car after my first three and then come back in and do more that they won’t let me. So, I drive to all 3 Albertsons in town to use all my TTV’s. It is a lot. So I was just wondering what you do! Maybe I will try it! Thanks and nice job on an awesome haul!

    • Thanks for your sweet comment! Yes, I do 3 then do 3 more. I was lucky with this big haul because my husband was with me. I line up 3 transactions in his cart, he gets in line while I shop more, then he takes them to the car & comes back for more. It makes it so much faster when I am doing so much. Then at the end I do 3 & he does 3 usually at different times. I always make one last run through or someone stops to ask me about my couponing & I take longer. It’s great when my husband can help, we call it ‘dating’ haha!Even if you go by yourself (like I normally do) don’t be afraid to stay at the same store, saves you time & gas money!

  3. I, too, was told by the clerk that checkers are not allowed to double the register coupons that you get at the end of your transaction because those coupons are not for a specific item. I pointed out that the register coupon states manufacturer coupon, but she insisted (politely, however) that doublers are not allowed to be used on these coupons. I had no proof or policy to stand on at the register and “argue” my case, unfortunately. If we are in fact able to double those register coupons, what do I do in the future when I’m told that I can’t? I’m frustrated because I know I didn’t save near as much money as I had planned on with this promo, and should have been able to. Albertson’s really needs to clarify this if they haven’t already and educate both couponers and checkers so there’s no confusion. Please advise! Thanks :-)

  4. michael huang says:

i love coupon and the power of them. wondering, that you shop those much every week. what will you do with those stuffs? do you really consume them? or just because of cheap?

    • Well, we have 10 kids with 8 still living at home. With more of them being teenagers than little ones, ya we go through a TON of food. The pineapples I use for snacks plus for the holiday’s I make cheese balls with them & mix them in our fruit platers for Thanksgiving & Christmas. As for the Campbell’s Skillets, I plan to use several & then my kids need food bank donations for their schools around the holiday’s so it will make a great donation. I have also thought about taking 2 of them & getting a wisk from the dollar store tie a cute raffia bow on them as gifts. Then attaching a note that say’s “We wisk you a Merry Christmas” for teachers.

  5. How do you get so many doublers??!

    • I get several papers delivered to me & then I have friends who refuse to coupon but give me their coupons & doublers. If you ask your friends I bet you will find some that will give you them to. I just pick them all up before I go, plus some people my husband works with give him coupons & doublers to. It’s been a great blessing for us.

  6. I look at that and think it’s awesome! My DH, on the other hand, looks at it and says, “Yeah, but she spent at least $40 in newspapers alone, so is it really worth it?” :P

    • If you get papers from the dollar store, it is only $20 in papers. That is not bad for the savings, but my local Dollar Tree limits to 4 papers, so that is a lot of driving if I need to travel to 5 different dollar stores to get those papers.

      • Which dollar stores and how much??

        • I think most of them sell it & the paper is $1

          • When do the Dollar Stores have the Sunday paper for $1.00? Does it start on Monday and go all week? or is it just on Mondays? Also, is this nation wide? I’m in Rexburg, ID and haven’t checked yet so just wondering what others know.

            • I don’t generally shop on Sunday’s so I personally don’t know but I believe they do. I know I’ve been in on Monday’s and they have. It really depends on your Dollar Store the one closest to me just barely started doing it I would guess in the last 6 months or so. Call the manager & ask them if they do or if they would be willing to. Maybe you can even get them to start if they realize there is a need.

              • Our dollar tree in twin has them on Sunday morning but they often sell out in just a couple hours on a good doubler weekend.

              • Janet Blau says:

Our Dollar Store has some papers on Sunday which go quite fast, there is a line at the door usually on Sunday morning when they open. However, on Monday morning, newspapers that haven’t sold elsewhere are brougth to the Dollar Store to be sold for $1. Our store usually has stacks of them. They do limit you to 4 though.

    • Umm, thanks for the awesome comment! hahaha! I don’t spend money every week on papers. If you have the papers delivered to your home, it’s so much cheaper! Then I have a few people that I know that no matter how much I try to talk to them about couponing they don’t want to but they give me their coupons. So, it’s a blessing for me not to have to buy that many papers. Some of the deals I only use 2 doublers on so it looks like it’s more than it really is to.

  7. Our Albertson’s in Burley won’t double catalinas. They say that a coupon has to be for a specific item. :(
