  1. My area did not get doubles in our paper, and they did not have any at the store :( However, I bought 6 of the Fleischman’s Yeast strips at 1.69, use .40/1 coupons, and was happily surprised when I got a .50 catalina for each one I purchased. I only did one transaction w/ 6 yeast strips, and six .50 cats printed! Woo Hoo! Still a great price w/out doubles.

  2. This morning the Albertsons on Cherry and Meridian had two shopping carts full of bags of Malt-O-Meal frosted flakes, 11 oz, for 33 cents each. They were back by the dairy section, along with some other carts of marked down items. The dates on the ones I purchased are 04 Sep 2011. (Winco has 15 oz bags for $1.79, just for comparison.) I refuse to feed the kids cereal like this before school but it does make for a cheap and fast snack after they get home.

  3. Shannon Reid says:

I did three transactions at the Albertson’s on S. Federal Way this morning. My first transaction with GM promotion worked fine. I just asked her to push the total key before I gave her my coupons to make sure the $5 came off. The second Transaction was also using the GM promotion and it didn’t want to work… the manager had to come over and go through the reciept to make sure I had purchased the correct products… kind of a pain, but they gave me the $5 off. My third transaction I used my $2/1 Quaker coupon, and the register wouldn’t take it without a manager’s over-ride. The manager gave me the over-ride but seemed skeptical that the coupon was legit… I think she was going to research it after I left, but hey… as long as they gave me the discount.. I’m good!

  4. I can’t get the soy sauce coupon to print….
any one else having trouble? I can print others from that site, but with the soy sauce, it says “out of memory” and prints a blank piece of paper.
    Can anyone help? Thanks.

  5. Found this AWESOME deal today:

Pepsi 2-liter products are 1.00 on ad, BUT if you buy 5 they use a coupon for 1.00 off given at the register. So this is .80 each. HOWEVER if you double that coupon given at checkout, its .60 per bottle.

Now, if you get just the Sierra Mist, the register rings up buy 3 get one free which is actually .75 each. THEN they can use the 1.00 off coupon when you get another bottle (the 5 needed for the “register” coupon) which brings it down to .60 each THEN if you double it, the bottles are .40 each!!!

  6. I noticed on the Albertson’s ad there is a special for one Free Trop50 juice when you buy 2 at the 2 for $6 price. So, since I am getting 3 can I use 3 $1/1 coupons (from the $70 in savings coupon booklet at Safeway), double them…and then get 3 bottles of juice for FREE?? I cannot find in the Albertsons policy if they accept coupons on all items in a b1g1 situation.

    • You can generally use a coupon a free item, but you can’t double it. That is the rule at my local Albies, but YMMV.

      • I just did this transaction this morning and it worked great. The cashier didn’t question it and it didn’t beep. I also had no problem using the doubler on the “free” coupon. So I got all three bottles of OJ for free!!

        • Woot!

        • Ok, so I went to Albertsons all ready to try this today…but then when I was there, I read the signage on the buy 2 get one free more carefully and from what it says, you have to buy 2 CARTONS of the Tropicana Pure Oj in order to get 1 BOTTLE of the Trop50. The $1/1 coupons I have are for the Trop50 only. Jamie, did you buy all Trop50? If not, did you use the Trop50 coupons on the cartons? Thanks

  7. the 10/3 SS had a .55 American Beauty Quick Cook Pasta Coupon.

  8. There was a .50 cents off Crest Toothpaste in the 9/26/2010 P & G which would also make the toothpaste free. It expires 10/31 whereas the other one expires 11/30. It would probably be a better idea to use the .50 cent one and save the .75 cent one that is valid longer.

  9. Free Miracle Whip! It’s $1.99 and there’s $1 coupon on facebook:

  10. Does anyone know if the Promo is working at the Eagle and McMillan if your 20.00 is before coupons? I ordered 40 Pizza Rolls coupons and did the following math this morning…

    40 Totino’s Pizza Rolls * $1.00 = $40.00-
    2* $5.00 savings($10.00) = $30.00 –
    37 * .35 off 1 Coupons($12.95) = $17.05 –
    3 * .70 doubled coupons (2.10) = 14.95 oop for 40 boxes of Pizza Rolls

    Or do this twice
    20 Totino’s Pizza Rolls * 1.00 = 20.00 –
    5.00 savings when you spend 20.00 = 15.00 –
    17 * .35(5.95) = 9.05 –
    3 * .70 Doubled coupons (2.10) = 6.95 = 13.90 for 40 boxes of Pizza Rolls

    Or do this 13 times
    3 * 1.00 = 3.00 –
    3 * .70 doubled coupons (2.10) = .90 = 11.70 + last box I have coupon for = 12.00
This option would make 14 transactions or 5 in and out trips

I was leaning toward the second option since option three only saves me 1.90 but if the promo is acting up the several trips in and out might be the better option if I can get the extra doublers from my non couponing friends.

  11. I was just looking at the ad & couldn’t find the febreeze noticables as part of the GM promo. Was it on the back page with the rest of the promo? Thanks for your help!

  12. katy atkinson says:

be aware that the 5$ instant for the Promo wasn’t working yesterday at the cherry and ten mile location. Said they were having a problem. She gave it to me anyway but after I told her, she looked at receipt and my food and called a manager…it was a pain (not really for myself but people behind me in line) so hopefully its working now.

  13. Hi last time I tried using the doubler on the following deal my cashier said that she couldnt do it as after doublers the product is free.(Isnt that the reason why we use doublers) I didnt question as she was super nice while I used a lot of coupons. Any suggestions what should I do

    Darigold Singles Milk $1.00
    DOUBLE:$1.00/2 from 9/12 SS
    Final Price: FREE

Also the GM promotion about $5 off $20 has fine prints ” Total($20) after manufactured coupons”. It is a bummer :( I am in WA. Has anyone tried doing it ?

    Will appreciate your views…..

    • lacey-

I would go talk to your manager. The cashier must be confused. You should be able to do that scenario just fine!

The fine print is confusing. The instant savings is still working w/ coupons. Most stores say if the computer works than the customer gets the discount.

    • i just did it in seattle and the $5 came off automatically before I even entered the coupons…should work no problem…

  14. Amy Conner says:

Is it totally crazy that the thought of doublers makes me SO SO SO HAPPY!!!??? It makes my day!!!

  15. you can also use the $0.75/2 Oral B toothbrush coupons from the 9/26 P&G and get them for $0.25 each!!

  16. So excited! I had my “maybe” list ready just in case we got doubles!!!

  17. The Featured F.A.B. says:

Yeah! Thanks for this great list!!! Now I’m wishing I had access to more doubles :)

    • You are welcome Julee!

    • Julee, I’m not sure where you are, but in the Boise/Meridian area, I’ve never trouble getting access to as many doublers as I want. The stores I go to keep the sheets at the registers, and dole them out as you go through checkout. They’ll give me 3 sheets (one per transaction) happily. I hardly ever do more than 3 transactions per shopping trip (by going back through the line again, but I have gone back to the same store later in the day and done it again.

      Good luck.

  18. So glad I ordered Quaker Oatmeal coupons a few weeks ago!!! We love oatmeal!!! Thanks for all you do!!

  19. There is a $1/1 New York frozen product in 10/17 SS. Makes the cheese Texas toast $1 a box. Yum. Thanks for all the great match ups!

  20. WHOA! I’m excited!!!

  21. I have a question about using the Febreeze Noticables coupon at Albertsons. I tried to use it at one of my local stores and they would not let me since the price of the coupon was more than the price of the item. In that case is there something in their policy that I can point out that allows them to still allow me to use this deal?

    • Jessica- As far as I know that is not specifically addressed in the Albertsons coupon policy. I would talk to a manager about that to see if they can give you more info. http://fabulesslyfrugal.com/albertsons-store-policies

      • I tried to use a coupon at Albertsons that was more than the item and was told the same thing.
I sent an email to Albertson customer service and asked them what there policy was and mentioned that Walmart and Target do not have a problem accepting coupons worth more than the item. The next day I got a phone call from my Albertsons and they apologized up and down and said that they had instructed all there cashiers to make it work from now on. So you might try sending an email to customer service.

    • I had a coupon one time that was 1 penny over. The cashier wouldn’t accept it. I took an Albertsons survey online and made some comment about this in one of the sections. The store director e-mailed me back personally and said their checkers should adjust the coupon down. I don’t know if this is store by store but that is what my local store in Richland, WA does.

  22. WOOOOHOOOOO! Thanks for all the time you spend allowing us followers to take advantage of these awesome deals! :)
