Albertsons Double Coupon Deals (or TWICE THE VALUE)

Remember that Twice the Value coupons will only be available in your newspaper. So make sure you have a newspaper subscription so you do not miss out.

TIPS for shopping with double coupons at Albertsons:

  • Don’t forget that you can make a shopping list right from the site! Watch Monica’s video on how to make this post your personal shopping list!
  • Are you taking your doubles to Walmart? Find out why we recommend using your coupons at Albertsons!
  • Remember that you can only double TWO coupons in one transaction. Often times, you’ll see us only use 2 coupons in one transaction, double two coupons, and pay a very small “out of pocket”. And we’ll do this three times in a row!
  • If your double coupon creates “overage” on the product, the double value will be adjusted down to make the product free. Most Albertsons register systems have been upgraded and will automatically do this as this aligns with Albertsons Coupon Policy.
  • Where to find the doubles: You can only get Albertsons doubles in the Sunday paper.
  • New at this? Make sure you understand all the rules with Albertsons Double Coupons.

Some of the links in this post are affiliate links… this means if you choose to print some of these coupons, we might make money.  Thanks for keeping our site up and running.

Have you found any more deals not listed in the ad? We would love to hear about them!

Comments

  1. I am completely disgusted with couponing right now. We only have one Albies here and they are always out of anything that is a good deal. I had to work very hard to use my 2 sets of doublers today. I very rarely have more than 2 doublers and it is so discouraging to not be able to use them. I am not getting enough stuff to do a special order. Today, there was one bag of bugles at the checktand. I asked the guy if I could have it since there was none in the back. He said sure but I know we have a ton, they must not be out yet. It makes no sense to not put out the items you have on sale. I am so tired of seeing empty shelves. I know that the FruGals say time and again not to clear shelves but it happens not only at our Albertson’s but anytime there is a sale at any store in our town. It is frustrating for me because I live out of town so I can’t just run in. Maybe I should just quit couponing. Thanks for letting me vent.

  2. I tried using the Ken’s Dressing in-ad coupon with the $1/1 Ken’s Dressings 8/14/2011 SS on Sunday and they would not let me. Can you please explain why they wouldn’t? I was told that I was the 4th person to try this that day.

    • Missy Hempe says:

Does the in-ad coupon state that it cannot be used with any other coupon or offer?

      • I don’t believe so. I just got the dressing for the $.99 since that was a pretty good deal itself, would have been better if it were free though! I was curious why it would be posted on the Fabulessly Frugal site that you could use them together when the store is saying you can’t. Very frustrating!

  3. No doublers this week in the paper here in western Montana. :( Bummer.

  4. So tried of going to Albertson’s 16 miles away for them to be out of everything I want to use my doublers on. I only had six doublers and only got to use 2. NOT worth the effort of organize/planning, convincing my over worked under paid but greatly appericated hubby to drive me 1/2 hour away, walking away with nothing. I love your blog and am greatful ppl are out there doing this, but wish ppl wouldn’t be greedy and/or the stores would be more prepaid.

  5. Emily Sullivan says:

Went to Albies last night to use my doublers, and the checker said that Boise wasn’t supposed to get the doublers we got… they were meant for Oregon. She said they didn’t plan the staffing for doublers so if the lines are a little long or slow, be patient :)

p.s. There was an Angel Soft deal floating around that sounded so awesome, but per square inch, the Kirkland brand and Scott 1000 are regularly less expensive. After doublers, coupon and $1.00 Catalina, it came to $3.99 for a 24 pack of Regular Rolls. Sounds great right? Well per roll, it’s only 17 cents, but the rolls only have 150 sheets.

  6. Amanda Quintana says:

So, you said that Albies will only let you use one manufacturer and one store coupon, but you listed the Crest toothpaste and Oral B toothbrush deal to use two store coupons, one to make it 99 cents and one doubler after the 75 cent manufacturer…my store will probably let me do this cause I used two store and one manufacturer the other day, but I don’t know if all stores will…

  7. Amazing Trip Yesterday!! Total was $192.89 after coupons and doubles I paid $32.29 an 84% savings!! WHOOHOOO!! Thank you for the match ups!

  8. I am not seeing bugels or chex mix cpn in SS. Did the Boise area recieve these? Can anyone confirm so I don’t drive myself crazy?

  9. I’ve never used any doublers before – this will be my first time. The $1.00 coupons for teh duncan hines cake and frosting – if I get 2 boxes of cake and 2 frostings, will they double both coupons? So it will work out to $4.00 off? And only $1.00 for the cakes and frostings? Is that right?

  10. Just tried to print the Duncan Hines coupon (hot link) and the coupon prints out all weird!! No text just the pictures and no bar code, exp date, etc. Anyone else have this problem?

    • I just printed this coupon and was having problems with it telling me my java needed updated at first – I kept updating and it kept telling me the same thing! I about gave up, but finally got it to print and it printed fine for me!

  11. Thanks Jen!

  12. Found and awesome deal at my albies today when i was heading to the register, there was a cart full of different febreeze air wick and glad air freshener items(candles, plug in refills, set and fresh things like that), plus about 10 large bottles of dawn detergent(marked down to 1.00 making them free with the pg 50 cent off coupon and a dbler). Every item was marked down to 1.00 or 2.00 and low and behold i found i had some 1.00 and 2.00 coupons for the items. the manager said these particular ones were being discontinued so he priced em to get them out of the store! I also got the air wick freshmatic refils for only 1.00 apiece with no coupons i was so excited got 5 for the price of 1 (there were still about 20 left)!

Anyways it was the broadway albertsons in idaho falls so if your headed that way you may want to check and see if theirs still anything left…….it was a full cart so may find something, sitting in front of the self check outs.! ( i was in at around 11 am)

    • Awesome!

My Boise-area Albertsons had Dawn on clearance yesterday too, and I was sure wishing for those $.50 coupons and doublers that didn’t come out until today. I’m just assuming the clearance stuff is gone by now, but maybe I should run to the store and check. Would that be overly obsessive? :-)

      • No of course not :) I actually ended up going back lol i found some more coupons that would pair up with the items and so decided to see what they still had. The cart had gone from full to about 1/3 full but i still got 2 more febreeze candles marked at 2.00 free with 2.00 coup from todays PG and the best deal was a febreeze illuminate candle (the one with the flickering light) their was one of them for 2.00 wich i paired with the 1.00 off a febreeze product coupon from todays parade and a dbler, and a buy one illuminator get a refill free from todays PG. I also picked up a few more Kens dressings since my store still had plenty (everything but ranch unfortunately wich is our fave)

All in all my 2nd trip according to my reciept i paid 52 cents and had a 51.72 savings(the original price on the illuminator was 13.99 crazy i’d never spend that much lol) not too bad and my house smells so good now :)

  13. can i only use 1 cat per item when redeeming them? or can i save them all up and use it towards my meat purchase regardless of how the meat is packaged?

  14. If I do the Peter Pan Peanut Butter deal can I only do 2 per transaction to get the $1.00 back or can I do 4 in 1 transaction and get 2 $1.00 coupons back for each “2 peanut butter purchase” in the same transaction?

  15. Did the Kelloggs buy 6 for 1.88 each…the Apple Cinnamon Nutrigrain bars had 5-$1 coupons for other Kelloggs items inside which pays for all of .28 of that entire purchase.

  16. Purchased 1 Velveeta Cheesy Skillets today, received (1) cat. for $1.oo off meat on next purchase, also received (1) cat. for $1.oo off next purchase. Making this a $2.00 money maker with doubler.

  17. Krista Porter says:

I usually recieve doublers in the YES!! Ad delivered every sunday but there were no doublers or albys ads, anyone know why?

    • Because they are not an individual ad, they were an actual part of the Sunday paper stuck to the front page.

  18. Tara Zomerdyk says:

I am not finding Albertsons doubles in my newspaper and I live in Southern Oregon (Klamath Falls). Do some areas not get them? I don’t even have an Albertson’s ad.

  19. I am just curious…I live in Eugene, and I sent my husband to the store this morning to pick up three papers and none of them had ANY coupon inserts in them nor the Albertson’s doublers. Did anyone else in Eugene have this problem with their papers?

    • For the last 2 times the Register Gaurd had them and the Oregonian didn’t. This week the Oregonian had them. I’m not sure if the Register Gaurd did or not?

      • The doublers that is. I think I read that coupon inserts go to home delivery first. So maybe there was none left, or they got stolen?

      • InSeattle says:

On the bottom of the doublers it says which papers got them. I only have one of the doublers with me and I see Tacoma, Bremerton, Port Angeles and Eugene Register Guard on the bottom. Not sure what other papers got them.

    • My sister lives in Eugene. When I visited her three weeks ago, I had to go to Albertson’s customer service desk to buy the Sunday paper. They said they were having problems with people stealing the inserts…that’s why they were now being kept at the customer service desk,

  20. My 7/24 RP does not have poptart coupons in it, and I live in Boise. Did others get them?

    • I didnt get any of the kelloggs coupons that were listed for that date, i think it may have been a regional thing…?

  21. I’m not finding the Frigo coupon. Do I need a different zip? Or is it over?

  22. I didn’t find the doubler’s in the Idaho Statesman. Are they in there somewhere??

    • mine were on the very front page, theres an albertsons ad folded over the front, and the doublers are on the back of that page. pretty hard to miss unless someone took that page from the front of your paper, :(

    • There on the first page!

    • They are not an insert as usual, they are on a fold-over sheet on the front page of the Idaho Statesman.

  23. I can not find any doubles for Als in Boise ID

  24. are these albertsons deals good at all albertsons all over or just in a certain state??

  25. Albertson’s will not allow you to double a coupon that you are stacking with a store coupon. It would be like them “tripling” the coupon if they did. The doubling of the Ken’s dressing wont work. at least not at my albertson’s.

    • This is one of those YMMV situations. I always did this at my Albies…never thought it was wrong and they never said anything. Then I went to another Albies and did it and they told me that you’re not allowed to to it. The way I look at it is that the store coupon makes the item a sale price, I use my manufacturer coupon and double that. Thought it was OK and a great deal. But some stores/interpretations vary.

      • here’s the deal:

albertsons will not (should not) take MORE THAN 1 (ONE) store coupon—-a doubler is a store coupon–so they won’t double an MQ for Crest on top of the in-ad or the Ken’s dressing or the Dole bagged salad, etc…

    • The Header above the Ken’s deal states “NO DOUBLERS NEEDED”

I think the fabuless gals were just trying to remind everyone of this awesome freebie WITHOUT needing to use our TTVs!

      • InSeattle says:

For the Ken’s use the store coupon that makes it 99 cents each and then use manufacture coupon for $1/1. If that is allowed checker will adjustd the $1 coupon down to 99 cents since per policy they can’t give you the penny. I haven’t tried this so I don’t know if works. Or you can double your $1/1 coupon and take $2 off the shelf price without the in store ad coupon.

For the Crest you would have to use 3 coupons to get it free and you can only use 2 coupons on an item so unless you had a $1/1 Crest coupon from somewhere (pretty sure doesn’t exist) the best you could probably do is .24 cents if using .75/1 or .44 if using .50/1

  26. Just a note about the velveeta skillet, if you do more than 1 in a transaction only 1 catalina will print. we had to to to customer service to have the print out the other ones.

  27. Missy Hempe says:

I thought peelies could only be used on your next shopping visit. Can you just peel them off and use them on the spot? I’m guessing the peelie would then count as a manufacturer’s coupon then?

    • Missy, yes, you can peel off a peelie and use it right then. Peelies are usually manufacturer coupons, so you can use a doubler with them. But I have seen the occasional store coupon peelie, which are not double-able.

    • Peelies are on products to push those specific products. So we do teach people to never take them off unless they are going to buy that product that day. So go ahead and use them! In my pre-coupon days, I’d never remember to take those off at checkout. Ha ha!

  28. Mixchief jello is on sale 10/$10. Look for tearpads for $1/3, which would make them 3/$1 with a doubler.

Has anyone tried this stuff? We love jello but haven’t tried this kind, although I might try it at this price. I guess you make it with soda instead of water.

    • The ingredient list for Mixchief is just gelatin. Knox or store brand gelatin would be the same thing. I haven’t checked the price for a while.

  29. Ortega taco shells are $2.39. $1.00 coupon (expiring 8/31) doubled would make the taco shells only $.39.

  30. I have some $.50/2 Chex Mix coupons (any flavor) in my stash. Not free, but $.50/bag is a good price.

Also, I have quite a few coupons that match up with products in the “the more you shop the more you save” promo:
Marie’s fresh flavor steamers or complete meals $1/3 (internet printable)
    Snack Pack pudding $.45/3
    Chef boyardee cans $.35/3

I wont’ be using them, so I’ll leave them on the store shelf for someone to find.

I could have sworn I had some other Hunts coupons, but I’m not finding them now. And I know I had some Gulden’s mustard coupons that I used recently.

    • Oh, and there are also coupons in the Sep-11 All You for $.50/2 Snack pack pudding and $.50/2 Chef boyardee cans.

    • Ah Susan I wish I shoped where you shop so I can find those coupons, my kids love Chef Boyardee but I don’t have any coupons. Would’ve saved me when I make my purchase with no coupons.:(

      • Jen, you might want to check out a coupon clipping site for items that you use regularly buy.

My favorite clipping site is coupons and things by dede — google it and you’ll find it easily. It’s too late for this sale, obviously, but she’s got the chef boyardee coupons for $.07. I like you can buy only the number of coupons that you want, unlike ebay where they are in lots of 20 or so. In my experience, she does not increase prices when a coupon becomes “hot”, again, unlike ebay. Also, I like that she places maximums on the number of like coupons you can buy so that no one person can clean them out.

What I like to do is review the coupon insert listings each week to see what coupons will be coming out. If there is a coupon that I really want — meaning items that we regularly consume — but it does not come to my local paper, then I’ll look for it on a clipping site and buy them as soon as they are available. That way I can be ahead of the game and have them handy when a sale comes along. If they get close to their expiration date and a sale hasn’tt come along, then I’ll go ahead and use them, usually at Winco or Walmart, where regular prices are lower overall than at Albertsons.

I’ve never wasted money on buying coupons that later go unused because I am very selective and limit my coupon purchases to only items we love. I don’t buy coupons for items that I “might” buy, only items that I will certainly buy, sale or not. For example, I bought some of the Peter Pan peanut butter coupons as soon as I found out they were available because I knew I’d use them. We go through a lot of peanut butter around my house and particularly love the Peter Pan honey crunch variety.

  31. Carolyn H. says:

The Planters peanuts have peelies on them $1/2 and they would be 2.50 for one after the doubler and coupon. I am totally out of them and was thinking about just getting two is that way too expensive for them? Thanks! :)

    • Carolyn, save the peelies for Walgreens. Planters peanut butter will be 2/$3 Sunday.

      • Carolyn H. says:

The peanut butter or just the roasted peanuts? The peelies are for the roasted peanuts. Do I have to have that Walgreen’s reward card or do I need to have their in ad coupon? Thank you very much!! I will be going there tomorrow!

      • Wait i thought it was bad couponing to just take the peelies off and not by the product. Maybe I am misunderstanding what Marian is trying to say.

  32. Who Nu cookies are still (or again) on sale for $2.50. I have two different coupons still in my stash — bogo and $1/1. So, if you have those coupons, you can buy two boxes, use both coupons and double the $1/1, and get them for $.25 each.

    • Are these cookies any good? I’m hesitant to try them. I don’t know why. LOL

      • Michele Ruiz says:

THEY ARE GOOD ! my kids love em,

      • Yeah theyre not too bad. The oreo ones are … ok, theres a weird after taste with them, but for the price, theyre still good. lol, the chewy choc chip ones are really good, and the vanilla ones are good too. havnt tried the crispy ones tho. If you drink lots of milk with them, the after taste dosnt seem so bad, lol :)

      • They’re good. As Teresa commented, the sandwich varieties are very similar to Oreos. I gave my daughter some of the vanilla ones and she didn’t even know the difference. I haven’t noticed an after taste, but then again I think I’ve always washed them down with milk. I can’t seem to eat Oreos without milk either. :-)

I’ve been looking for the soft kind but they’ve not been on the shelves when I’ve thought to look.

  33. Did Idaho get the Velveeta cheesy skillet coupon?

    • Carolyn H. says:

I live in Nampa and I did NOT get it :(

    • Kathy, I’m in Idaho and I did not. However, look for $.55/1 tearpad coupons for the cheesy skillets. I saw them on a cardboard display near the front of the store, not on the shelf where the product is normally stocked.

Double the $.55 coupon and pay $.57 oop, then get a $1 catalina for meat. So, not free oop, but still a little money-maker.

BTW, we’ve tried two different varieties of this stuff, and we don’t much care for it. It’s a lot like hamburger helper so if you like that stuff you might like this brand, but if you don’t like hamburger helper then don’t waste your doublers on this stuff. Just my two cents worth.

  34. Becky, the post indicates that we can only use two doublers per transaction, yet some of the matchups indicate using three doublers per transaction. Is the bullet point stating using only two doublers a typo? Perhaps a carryover from a few weeks back when there were only two doublers per sheet? Or are we getting only two doublers again?

    • Susan I got a sheet of three each here in the Oregonians Portland Metro circulation. I’ve noticed that you’re allowed however many is on one sheet.

  35. The printable Dannon Oikos coupon is for 32 oz and the sale is for 5.3 oz. Really, $1.25 for 5.3 oz?

  36. Ashley Swigart says:

Yes you are correct, the zip lock deal will be 2 for $3 after a doubble coupon $5- $1 manufacture coupon = $4 – $1 doubbler coupon = $3 wyb 2, not a bad deal not as good as a dollar though.

    • Our store had a huge display that had a tear pad for B2G1 free. So you could get them for $1 each if you have that coupon.

  37. Lots of soda is on sale this week. Coke and Pepsi 12-packs are $2.40 wyb 5, and there were peelies on many of the 12-pack boxes. Some were $1/2, others $2/2 (not double-able, obviously) and others $.55/1. Going from memory here, but I think the $2/2 were coke products and the $1/2 and $.55 were Pepsi products.

So, buy 5 Pepsi 12-packs for $12, which is a pretty good price all by itself. Double 2 of the $1/2 peelies and 1 of the $.55/1 coupons, and your oop is $6.90, or $1.38 per 12-pack. That’s a stock-up price in my book.

    • My local store took the peelies off by Sunday….the Pepsi rep said he gave the store a whole roll of them to use…can’t figure out why the store would discourage us doubling them. It doesn’t come out of Albie’s pocket.

  38. Carolyn H. says:

I have a question about the Ziploc deal. I did the math and I keep coming up with they will be 1.50 after the double which would be $3 for 2? Am I doing my math right?

  39. The new dollar off milk wyb cookies will not work with the to go packs, they are too small

    • as long as the coupon says 4 oz and up it will work on some of the to go packs. I’ve used it before. Some of the to go packs are smaller than 4 oz but some are exactly 4 oz so it works.

  40. Camille N says:

Won’t the Ken’s dressings be a $1.00 profit if you double it? I don’t know…I’m still kind of new at this.

    • Albies will only double up to the price of the item, not over it…. but I like the money makin’ way you think :)

    • My Albertsons allows overage if you have other items the it goes towards.

      • Nice! That make’s me a little jealous :)

Mine never does, and the policy states “Coupons that exceed the retail value of an item will be adjusted to provide the maximum value, not exceeding the price of the item”

        Sooo…. I suppose…. YMMV!

        What’s your experience Becky?

(maybe I’m out of my realm here… I’ll go back to Rite Aid ! lol! )

      • Camille N says:

I went to Albertsons today….(southeast idaho area) and they totally let me use the double coupons with the $1/1 Ken’s dressing, making them overage of $3.00!! I was in need of some canning jars, so I let the overage cover some of that cost!! It was awesome!!

        • Cashier’s get fired for making these kinds of mistakes. Please don’t violate the coupon policy when you know better…someone else will pay the price for this down the road. So sad…

  41. another user says:

Yes, it is…it is acceptable at Albertson’s per policy to use in-ad store coupons and one manufacturers coupon per item. You must be confused with trying to use more than one manufacturers coupons per one item?

  42. no, it’s not. Yes, you can stack a manufacture coupon with an in-ad coupon. however, you can not double that manufacture coupon.

  43. my albies lets me use the in-store and double the manufacture coupon.

  44. She may be referring to the Crest toothpaste that has an in-ad coupon. It is listed here with the price being free after doubler – but it also lists that the “sale” price is with a store coupon. Albertsons doesn’t allow 2 store coupons – you can’t use the Crest store coupon plus a TVQ (unless I am mistaken).

  45. The store I shop (5& O in Boise) at will let you use one store and one MQ so it would be either the double or in-ad plus the MQ, not both. That is my experience.

  46. sesame street says:

If your cashier is allowing you to use 2 in store coupons and a manufacturer coupon, you better be going to a cashier you want fired. They are not allowed to do it. I love my cashiers so I would never put their jobs at risk by saving or making an extra buck. That is my 2 cents.

  47. It specifically states on the in store coupon that the TTV coupons cannot be combined with a store coupon. Not sure why they are letting you use both.
