Comments

  1. I know this ad ends tonight, but does the P&G promo of the 10 cat end as well?

  2. Betty Crocker fruit snack catalina when does it start I’ve seen 10/4 and 10/5 ? Thanks for all your help!! I LOVE your site!

  3. There is a coupon for $1 off Pepperidge Farms baked naturals crackers at http://www.pepperidgefarm.com/ They are $2.99 at Albertsons, so $.99 if we get doublers tomorrow.

I found some tear pad coupons at Albertsons the other day for $.50/2 Honest Teas. They are on sale this week for $1, so free with doublers.

  4. Does anyone know which Albertson’s in Boise the $10 catalina for P&G is working for purchase of $30 BEFORE coupons? Anyone tried Vista & Overland or Orchard & Overland by chance?? Just wanna make sure it works before I try a store. Thanks!

  5. I went to my Albies this morning 10 Mile & Cherry Ln. I bought 4 pkgs. of the Charmin TP, 1 bottle of Downy, and 2 bags of the Fresh Express Salad Mix. I won a $25.00 gift card from their facebook instant win game a while back, I used it plus 2 $1.00 Q’s I printed for the salad, 1 store coupon to match, 1 $.25 Q for 1 of the TP’s and my $2.50 Downy Q that I received from Vocal Point last week. So my OOP was $9.17 and I received a $10.00 cat for the P&G Promo. I am so ecstatic to get FREE Toilet Paper!!!!
FYI in case you didn’t know the toilet paper is even a better deal, b/c there are 4 free rolls in the package making them 16 Double Rolls! 64 Rolls of TP!! WooHoo!! Come on… Who doesn’t get excited over free Toilet Paper??!!

  6. Did you all catch the Kraft Mac & Cheese deal? They have 5 boxes packaged together. They are normally over $5. With the coupon in their add, they are $2.50. Yesterday was the last day to use the $1/3 that was in the fall savings book. Which brought the price down to $1.50! (they had the coupons taped to the packages in my Albies!)

AND there is a peelie on the boxes for 4Kraft mac & cheese Easy Mac OR a box of Capri Sun!! FREE! So, essentially, you get 5 boxes of mac & cheese AND either free easy mac OR free Capri Sun FOR $1.50!!

Not a bad deal at $2.50 – but if ya caught it for $1.50 – WOW!!! We won’t be buying mac & cheese for a while…

  7. I JUST Got back from visiting the Bremerton, WA Albertson’s and they were HANDING OUT THE SUNDAY DOUBLER FLIER at CHECKOUT! They gave me TWO!
Also, there is a $1/1 Fresh Express PDF coupon (AKA print as many as you want) AND it works for the Kit Salads on sale so they are $.88 each with Albertson’s and Manufacturer coupon!
    http://www.freshexpress.com/artisanal/coupon.asp

  8. Has anyone done the KMart charmin deal? I think it’s a pretty good deal, better than the one going on at Albertson’s. Here’s how it went (for me at least): Charmin basic was 9.00 for the 20 double rolls (= 40 rolls). When you purchase 35.00 you get a 10.00 coupon onyo. So I bought 4 for 36.00 got my 10.00 coupon plus another 5.00 coupon (not sure why!!), then took that 10.00 coupon and purchased another 20 roll pack. Going to do it all again and will end up with 10 packages of tp and when all coupons are subtracted will have spent 47.00 oop (42.00 if another 5.00 coupon prints) or 4.70 for each package. I think that’s a pretty good deal!!! And I will be able to submit for my P&G rebate!! Good Times!!

  9. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up if you like Mr Clean cleansers, there is a BOGO coupon that your can pair with that, that expires 9/30. To make it an even better deal. Also, old spice and secret deodorant are included in this deal. I got a red zone deodorant and then got a free body spray with the new coupons that just came out in this last P&G insert. Just a heads up!

    • Danielle–are you saying Old Spice and Secret are included in the $10 catalina? If so, how did you find out and are there more items that may trigger the $10? Thanks!

  10. personally I am a laundry detergent snob and this is a pretty good price for the Tide in my opinion!!!

It is even better with doublers but I was totally happy when I bought the 70 oz. boxes for 2.88 awhile back and the 141 oz boxes are just as cheap right now!!!

I just finished my 70 oz boxes off and have been eyeing sales for Tide for a long time now!!!

  11. I went to the Five & O Albertson’s tonight and did two P&G transactions. The $10 Catalina printed both times. Whew! (I always get a little nervous that there will be some glitch and it won’t print.)

I purchased the Mr. Clean liquid, Oral-B toothbrushes (my coupons did work), Always, Charmin, Downy, Aussie and Herbal Essences products. Used coupons on everything.

To use couponing lingo, the $10 cat prints and rolls. :) Woohoo! Happy shopping everyone!

  12. Rebecca where do you live? How do you know that no Albetsons carries this product ?

    • Well the store I went to had a sign that say they no longer carry it, and people on another blog said the message was sent from corporate (the person that mentioned that had seen the sign at a different albies than mine)

  13. Today I saw that WinCo has strawberries for $.98/lb.

  14. Has anyone tried the Oral B toothbrush coupons? I don’t think the Cross action which the coupon is for is the one on sale. Please let me know if you tried.

    • As far as I could tell just by looking and not asking for a price check, the cross action toothbrushes are not on sale.

  15. By the way..no Albertsons currently carry the febreeze warmer that was priced at 2/$5 (we had the $3 coupon making it free). So don’t incorporate it into your scenerio..you will get all mixed up!

  16. Horrible, horrible. Never try and serious coupon with a baby and a 2.5 year old. Bad news. Over paid since everything got mixed up (no thanks to my cashier who started grabbing stuff out of my cart when I pulled up). Probably overpaid about $10. Oh well…you live some you learn some! And will DEF be getting a baby sitter for doublers.

    • You poor thing! Yeah, I stopped taking my five year after he told me, “mom, dont you know why I act like this (really, really bad)? I said no and he told me “well i hate shopping and I figure if i am bad enough you wont take me next time!!!” Lesson learned.

    • Yuck – no fun! We too learned the hard way. But NOW when we teach our classes, one of the things we talk about is how to have a successful shopping trip… tip #1 – “shop with out your little ones!”. :)

  17. My total today after coupons was $14 and I still got the $10 cat.

  18. I think the coupons listed for the Glide Floss and the Oral B toothbrushes are switched.

  19. Tell me more about how to get the chicken from Zaycon for $1.49 per pound. Do I need to pre-order? If so, how do I pre-order?

    • look at http://www.zaycon.com and they have all info there. i have contacted them with questions and they are always great with response time! i am anxious to get me some cheap chicken! I will be “canning” it since I am afraid of my freezer letting me down. (door was left open once and luckily I didn’t lose anything of “value”)

      • The actual URL is http://www.zayconfoods.com/.

        • In the next week or two, we will be able to place orders on their website (they are upgrading to make the ordering process smoother, that’s why we can’t do it right now), and they will have one day for about a 1-2 hour block of time that they will be at a certain location and you go pick up your chicken. They have confirmed that it will be priced at $1.48/lb. SO – we will be posting about it next week or the week after telling you all the details! We’re so excited about this too, look for it on the blog!

  20. Locally Pauls has their case sale. Some things looked ok, like the 4/$1 tomato sauce but what I was wondering about is the $25 lbs of flour for $5.88. Albertsons “sale” price is $9.49 for 25lbs but does anyone know how much 25lbs of flour is at Costco? Thanks!

  21. On the P & G promo the ad states minimum purchase requirement calculates after manufacture coupons. It must be $30.00 after coupons. I am not sure if it is still a great deal?

    • I did it today had $30 before coupons and $6.50 after and got the catalina no problem!!

      • Becky – your total after coupons was $6.50? Explain your magic please!!!

        • Kristy – In working with my coupons, I can get down to $17.95, then with the $10 catalina, it’s $7.95.

This is what I am planning on doing in the morning… ok… it IS morning! But after the kids get off to school! HA!

          Nice & Easy Hair color
          3 @ 5.99 = 17.97
          - $5/2 & $2/1
          = 10.97
          Mr. Clean liquid cleaners
          2 @ 2.50 = $5.00
          - $1/1 = -$1.00
          - $2.50 for BOGO
          = $1.50
          Herbal Essences
          1 @ $2.99 = $2.99
          -$1/1
          = $1.99
          Downey
          1 @ $4.99
          -$1.50/1
          = $3.49

          Total product = $30.95
          Total Coupons = $13.00
          OOP = $17.95 & $10 Catalina earned

Not quite as good as Becky… But I am getting closer!

(Target’s deal on Downey is maybe better? You can use the $1.50 coupon and their $1/1 coupon, making them $2. each… But, alas, no catalina!)

I think the best way to make a killing on this one is to purchase the items that cost less with their larger coupons to get the max. I played around with this a little, to get the cost before coupons as close to $30 as possible… then added up the coupons that I had to get the best deal. (I have coupons that expire tomorrow, so I have to use them or lose them.) I will probably do a deal similar to this on Sunday, so I can use my doublers! AND this catalina! (I don’t count the savings on the cat until I use it)

Good luck Becky!! Let me know how you did!!

    • I went to Albertson’s just a little while ago and spent $21 after coupons and it DID NOT print for me. I feel like I wasted my coupons, didn’t want to try to return everything since I had an upset baby with me and an antsy toddler. Darn!!

  22. If we do get doublers on Sunday the DelMonte deal becomes a money maker if you buy some coupons. i would get them ordered today so they are here in time. Here is my math if someone could double check me. I did both the 5 and 6 can deals as those will work with the coupon. The 5 can deal works out best.

    .59 x 6= 3.54
    -1.00 coupon = 2.54
    -1.00 doubler = 1.54
Get back 2.00 cat, .46 profit on 6 cans of veg or about 7.5 cents profit on each can.

    .59 x 5 = 2.95
    -1.00 coupon = 1.95
    -1.00 doubler = .95
Get back 1.50 cat, .55 profit on 5 cans of veg or .11 cents profit on each can of veg. WooHoo!

  23. I did a transaction this morning on dog food. Reached $30 before coupons, well below that after coupons and the catalina DID print!

  24. I don’t know if your ad is the same as mine in MT, but, the fine print on the $10 catalina for purchasing $30 said that the $30 is calculated AFTER using coupons.

  25. Also the Kelloggs site has $1.00 off 2 Miniwheats and some other cereal coupons as well. I now have three coupons so will get 6 miniwheats and 2 gallons of milk for about 11.00 after tax is added.

  26. THANK YUUUUUUUUUU for the star codes!
    -CK

  27. That makes the vegetables .09 each when bought in groups of 5 with a Q and CAT. or .09 each when bought in groups of 6 with a Q and CAT. So I think it is best to do in groups of 6. Somebody check my math!

  28. Buy Del Monte Canned Fruits, Vegetables and Tomatoes Between 09/29/10 and 10/19/10 and save up to $2.00 on a future shopping order.

    Buy (4) Get $1.00…or
    Buy (5) Get $1.50…ir
    Buy (6) or more & Get $2.00

    Choose from the following items:

Del Monte Canned Vegetables 7.75 Oz. to 29 Oz.

It looks like those Q’s were a good purchase! Buy away everyone! The price is now even better.
Del Monte Canned Tomatoes 14.5 Oz. to 28 Oz.
Del Monte Canned Fruits 8 Oz. to 30 Oz.

    Catalina Number: 20679 10927 17393 0950 1690 2844

  29. Ebay has Del Monte coupons, I just bought this “20- $1 OFF FIVE (5) DEL MONTE CANNED FRUITS, VEGETABLES, TOMATOES (10.5-15.25 OZ.) OR FRUIT CUP SNACKS (PLASTIC 4-PACKS, 3.75-4OZ.)” for $1.45. What is even nicer is the $1.45 came from my PayPal balace from Pinecone surveys. That will make them .39 cents each so it will be another stock up on canned veggies week.

  30. Are the paper towels 6.99 or 9.99? The ad shows 9.99

  31. oops I meant manufacturer coupons…. sorry

  32. My ad states on it … Minimum purchase requirement calculated AFTER manufacture coupons. When it has stated this before I did not get my $10…. anyone else have the same issue?

  33. The P&G promo might be worth doing before doublers..at least for me anyway. Most the coupons I will use expire on the 30th!

  34. What is a good price to stock on laundry softner??? I’m on my last bottle..thinking..thinking..LOL!

  35. I’m thinking it’s a safe assumption we will see doubles this weekend? Should definitely help this promo even more!

  36. I found more great savings in the P&G Brandsaver… Mr Clean magic eraser or bath cleaner $1/1. Also BOGO the Mr. Clean liquid… Not sure if you can use both, one for the eraser and one for the cleanser (it IS a liquid… right??). Could you use the BOGO on the cleaner with the $1/1 for the bath cleaner?? I am going to try it! Expires 9/30.

I found $3 off the razors, also in the P&G brand saver… Also expires 9/30.

I don’t remember where I got this one, $5/2 boxes of Nice & Easy Root Touch Up… Expires 9/30.

There are Downey coupons out there for $1.50/1 expires 9/30. (Again, not sure where I got this one… I clip em and put em into my binder, it’s easier for me!!)

  37. THANK YOU for putting the “star” codes next to things for good deal alerts and stock up prices! As a new couponer, i never know if something is a great deal or what prices are good stock up prices yet. Thank you so much, its very helpful. :)

  38. At first glance, I think I’m liking this P&G promo too. I have a stack of coupons that should work nicely with this deal. They came from the “Home Made Simple” or “Refresh Your Nest” coupon bookets (I think) that were via mail by request several times over the past 6 months or so. Many of mine expire in October. So if anyone has some left, it looks like a great opportunity to use them. :-)
