  2. i saw on another blog that albertsons has done an update in spokane using the shelf price not sale price. ex: the healthy choice soup will credit 2.99 not the sale price of 1.00 for catalina. anyone heard if that is so in boise?

    • margie-

You always want to use the “the advertised sale price” when getting up to the $25! The second number we show is just so you know what you are really paying once you factor in the catalina. Does that help?

    • i just found a copy of what the new register system rec. looks like, unless nampa, id has updated since last thursday they do not have the new system. bumber. :-(

      • margie-

New system? I am totally missing something! Can you fill me in on more details?

        • Wow I just did some research. That is MIND BLOWING! Catalina working off of the original price? How fun~ Wonder if it would work everywhere?

          • Spokane and that region are a “test Market”. They have the new registers and catalinas are based on “shelf price” not the “sale Price”. They also have a new bonus point system where items have certain points, bonus points, ect. when you reach 5,000 points you get a $5 catalina. I did a little shopping up there over the weekend (spent about $100) and added up to 3,800 points so it’s pretty easy accumulate quickly. is local to Spokane and details their shopping based on the systems in that region. I live in the SW Washington and our stores have the same system as the Boise area.

  3. There were tearpad coupons I ran across the other day at Safeway for buy any 3 Chef Boyardee, get 1 whole grain Chef Boyardee free. I’m glad I grabbed a few! Keep an eye out!

  4. I think the Athenos final price should be as low as 1.99, not $.99, unless the MQ is supposed to be $2/1 instead of $2/2. Looks like a pretty good week. Too bad I am trying to deplete my pantry before moving, not fill it up!

    • Thanks Cathy! Hope your move goes well. Sorry you have to sit this one out.

    • I just moved about 1,000 pounds of food 300 miles. I always thought the same until I decided to keep my stockpile. I did donate about 50 pounds to a couple friends.

    • Me too CathyB! We are moving next month, and thankfully it will just be to the other side of town. Since we are only packing though and not doing the actual moving, I am not too worried about moving my stockpile!

  5. A follow up on Margie’s question…has anyone heard of the shelf pricing working in Oregon?

    • Jill

You always want to use the “the advertised sale price” when getting up to the $25! The second number we show is just so you know what you are really paying once you factor in the catalina. So it should be the same in OR.

  6. Please please please let the Albertson’s card count for the $5 on your next order!!!! Someone post it when they know!!!:)

  7. I noticed that in the small print of the Con-Agra promo it states that the total is calculated AFTER MQ’s – is this something we should worry about? Has this ever been an issue in the past?

    • Not in the past it hasn’t.

    • Yes worry. Your subtotal AFTER coupons needs to be $25 to trigger the $10 Catalina!!!!

    • Monica is right, we’ve never had to worry before. We’ve always been able to get the subtotal at $25, then use the coupons to lower it from there.

Kelly, I’m curious, have you done a transaction yet? You seem very sure that we won’t be able to do it this time and I was wondering what your reasons were. We’d all love to know for sure before we go out to the store. :)

      • I did it today and it didn’t work. I am going back to see what was wrong. There wasn’t a manager there earlier.

        • I am curious to see what they say. Please let us know. Thanks.

          • They told me it was after coupons and they let me buy a few more things to get it. I don’t know if other stores may be different? It seems like sometimes they are. Good luck!

            • I was there early this morning too so maybe that was the difference? Has anyone else had luck?

              • I’ve heard that the Park Center store is triggering the CAT using the shelf price, since they have the new system that Wash & Ore are using! I hope this is true, because that would make the soup a super great deal!

                • Parkcenter is my Alb’s. Has anyone else tried getting a cat using the shelf price? That would be crazy! I bought 6 snapples, because I was too worried about getting the 25 dollar total after coupons!

      • Yes I went this morning first thing. I am hearing it might be because I bought Ro-Tel but my cashier said it had to be $25 after coupons.

  8. Thanks for this! Working on ordering some coupons tonight.

  9. Christina B says:

I just came back from Albies in the Portland Oregon area and I bought 3 snapples and 1 swiss miss hot chocolate. I used 3- $1/1 Snapples and the doublers and paid $10.47 and I got a $10 cat! SO, the total in Oregon is off the shelf price! I don’t know if or when they will fix this glitch so get out of your PJ’s and run to Albies! Today is the last day for doublers so all you serious die hard Snapple Drinking Couponers in Oregon still have a few more hours! I just wish I had more coupons!

  10. Does anyone know about a Snapple rebate? Where can I find it?

    • I found mine on an end cap display of Snapple in Albertsons (it was actually near the cleaning products). I have heard of others finding them on end cap displays as well, it will vary from store to store though.

      • I’ve read that you don’t actually need the rebate form…just a 3×5 card and all the other usual info. in case you can’t find one.

    • I just talked to Snapple and have an email from them with the information… will post shortly!

  11. Christina says:

I’m heard that we will be getting doublers on Sunday. Can anyone confirm for Portland?

  12. These must be newstand All You coupons. I’m not finding most of them and I have a subscription. :(

  13. Can anyone tell me the checkout process works when you do an order?? I placed and order for the first time and am just curious how the checkout will work. I know that my store has doublers so I am hoping to do multiple transactions. Any help would be appreciated.

    • You will have to work with your store. Usually if we make an order that is bigger than 3 transactions the grocery manager will open up a private lane for us.

      Anyone else?

  14. is anyone else having problems finding those rotal coupons because they did not come in the S.S. jan 23 for Eastern Oregonian on that day?

  15. Heads up on the Snapple! I was just at my Albertsons (Mountain Home) and they did not have very much Snapple on hand. 6pk or 12pk. I had gone in to place an order and checked it out. So if you are thinking of getting more than 5 packs you will want to place an order. I am not sure how well the Boise stores are stocked but there were only like 15 cases at my store. I told them it was going to be a hot item and they should order more than my special order…. so we will see

  16. ★Healthy Choice Lunch Steamers, Natural Entrees Select Entrées $2.00/$1.20

Coupon in Jan All You 2011 for $1/2 Healthy Choice Steaming Entrees , this will make the price a little better.

I get the subscription version of the mag and got this coupon, not the newstand version.

  17. Did Idaho get the Peter Pan coupons? I could not find them in my 1/2/11 Smart Source insert.

    • Brookann-

Idaho did not get that coupon. I am sorry I forgot to update that on the match-ups. It would have been one to order on ebay. I would not try now b/c they will not get here in time unless you over night and it probably would not be worth the charges. I would suggest making a comment in this tread, on our blogfrog and on facebook asking if anyone ordered too many and would like to share. Our readers are pretty awesome and happy to share when they can.

In the future if you are wondering if a coupon is in Idaho you can use this list:
It can be found in the navigation bar under: Learn to be a frugal >> organize coupons >>> master coupon list. :)

I am glad you brought it up, reminds me that I need to edit the post. :)

  18. summer kaurin says:

I can’t seem to find the .30/1 Rotell cpn from the 1/23 SS. Am I looking in the wrong place?

  19. you peeps are so behind out here… we just moved from the midwest and the conagra CAT was a bonanza … it was always off the non-preferred card price or shelf price … so you could buy 10 healthy choice pay $10+tax and get a $10 CAT back and keep rolling and figuring out scenarios on the other conagra products… it looks like western washington a lot of the registers are all on the old system where this does not work… if anyone knows this works in Tacoma area please share… thanks
