Comments

  1. Wouldn’t it be .50 for 2 popcorns and 2 sodas if you double the $1/2 coupon? I’m hoping that is how it is:)

    • I was just wondering the same thing.

      • Ok ladies I updated the pop corn promo and added a pic. Hopefully it makes more sense. Thanks for the help!

        • OK so the pic makes it seem like you buy a popcorn, then get another popcorn AND the 2 – 2 liter sodas free also. So what I am seeing is:
          Buy 1 @ 2.50
          double 1/1
          = .50
          receive another popcorn and 2 sodas free, = $ .125 / item

          right?

          • That’s how I interpreted it too. Hopefully so.

          • Last time this deal came around you had to use an in store manufacturers coupon to get the other pop corn and two sodas free. I took in my own coupon to use along with it and was told it was one coupon per deal, so I did not get to lower the 2.50 price for the first one. But try it anyway! It would be an awesome deal if it works properly!

        • Stephanie says:

When you buy 1 popcorn, you will get 2 pops and 1 popcorn, so a total of 4 items. The post indicated 4 pops when you buy 1 popcorn plus the additional popcorn. I checked the master listing as well as my own coupons from the Statesman and we did not receive 1/23 SS popcorn coupon.

    • The ad doesn’t indicate you have to use an instore coupon on this one.

      So how about:

      buy 2 at $2.50 each = $5
use $1/2 from the Safeway Joy of Football book = -$1
      use doubler = – $1
      pay $3
receive the two you pay for, and two times the freebies!
total: 4 popcorns, 4 bottles soda for $3

      I’ll try it tomorrow. :-)

      • Actually it states “with in store coupon, while supplies last” in the fine print under the soda part. Last time it was a manufacturers coupon, but who knows this time. Let us know how it goes for you tomorrow!

        • Ah, there it is – you are correct. I should not try to work scenarios when I have a head cold! :-)

          • No worries, I used it and they took it this time, along with the in store coupon, which is also a ManufQ. But since it is applied to the sodas, the popcorn coupon is working just fine in addition! The ad does state the value of the free popcorn is 2.50 but it is ringing up 3.29. ??? Still a good deal and they are well stocked for this one!

  2. HI,
I was wondering how the doubles will be in tomorrow’s paper– will they be on a glossy insert, the same type that customer service usually has? Or will they be on a newsprint paper as part of a large ad that you can only get from the newspaper? I’m asking because I only take the Sunday paper, so I’d like to know if I need to plan to buy some of tomorrow’s paper of if I might be able to get one or two sets from the customer service desk. Anyone know yet? If not, would somebody be kind enough to update me after getting your morning paper?

  3. Anybody finding the Danimal coupons?

  4. Anyone having hard time finding the Orvill coupon $1/2 SS 1/23??

  5. Stupid question probably..I’m in Florida and I know we don’t double here but I was curious if the Albertson’s double thing is valid here. Anyone know?

  6. The fine print on the Dove promo says minimum purchase calculated AFTER manufacturer coupons, unfortunately. :(

  7. ok quick question……
The Charmin in store coupon will make the 6mega or 12 big rolls total to = 6.49
with the instore coupon…. can I stack it with a $1 off MF coupon that I have……..or even better can i use the doubler on the $1 off MF coupon and making my total of $4.49 for the pack of Charmin TP?

    • Rachel – If the in-store coupon is a store coupon then you could also use the MF coupon with it; however you will not be able to double it because the doublers are technically also a store coupon and you can only pair one store coupon with one manufacturer coupon. Some stores will let you use the doubler anyway, but most will not. If the in-store coupon is a manufacturer coupon then you will not be able to use the MF coupon you have as well. You would however be able to double the in-store manufacturer coupon if it is for a dollar off amount of $1 or less. Sorry I cannot be more specific to the scenario, I have not looked at the ad yet, so I don’t know which kind of coupon the Charmin is.

      • Thanks Cathy!
The charmin is a instore coupon which is only .50 cents worth off and i have a $1 off MF coupon.
I guess it depends on the cashiers if they’ll take it off or not. I won’t hurt to try it tomorrow!
Thanks this helped a lot, I did not know a doubler was considered a store coupon since their doubling a MF coupon. I see now how it is considerd a store coupon! Thanks!
Now i’ll just try it tomorrow! kkk

      • Cathy b! Long time not see! Good to see ya!

  8. Has anyone ever tried to freeze Kraft singles? Wondering how they do?

p.s. Yipeeeeee!!!! for week long doublers!!!!

  9. OK … quick question for you veterans. When I used Albertsons Doublers last time the clerk said I could use a max of 3 sets (So 9 total) with my preferred card. Anyone know if that is true??

    • Becky FabFruGal says:

My Albies has a 3 transaction rule… but that’s three transactions, then you have to go to the back of the line, not based on a preferred card.

    • Angel, sounds like you have a misinformed checker. Which Albertsons were you shopping?

  10. Angel, Most stores will only let you do three transactions in a row (9 doublers). After that I go back to the end of the line and do another three.

  11. I went out this morning and bought 4 papers. I figure if I use the three doublers for $1.00 coupons(I’m stocking up on free soup!) I save $3 subtract the .75 per paper and a net savings of $2.25. The clerk gave me her ad as well and said I could stop by tomorrow and see if any papers did not sell and if so I can have those ads.

Today I head to Albies, transfer my prescription get my $25 dollar gift card use my Finish raincheck to get 11 Finish for $10.37 and 20 Chunky soups for about .96 and still have $13.67 left on my card to use after I pick up more paper at WalMart for my poor lonely printer.

    • FYI…when I transf my prescription it wasn’t a gc. It was a $25 “coupon” like off of groceries..but your min total has to be $25….hope it works out different for you.

      • I got a gift card and got 20 cans of soup, 5 10 packs of Finish(they are still out of the 20 packs), 2 sm bags Cheetos(I forgot to eat and still had to wait for daughter) and a water. I still have $16.33 on my card too.

  12. Dear person and or persons who bought all the newspapers from Walmart, FredMeyer, and Albertsons in Nampa

I don’t know why any one person would need all the newspapers from one store. Don’t you think it would be nice for everyone to get a few newspapers? And if you bought all those newspapers to double coupons…does that mean you are going to clear all the shelves of food too? I can appreciate wanting a good deal and saving money for your family however it seems people are going to extremes these days. Yes we haven’t had doubles in a while but really….ALL the newspapers from Albertson’s and their gas station? I really wish people would stop and think. I feel like its the greedy few who ruin it for everyone else. However it seems there are more and more people being greedy. Now what about all those people who couldn’t go at 6 am or 7 am to buy newspapers? I love this site and I appreciate all the hard work that goes in to helping all of us out. My hope is that people will start thinking of others too. Everyone should be able to get great deals for their family.

    • If you happen to live by Cherrylane and Tenmile albies stop in….they have the doublers for you at registers and will let you use as many sets as you want. you just have to fall back in line after 3 transactions (which is reasonable). they are really great and love couponers!

    • Oh geez, that is nuts. Who in the world needs that many doublers?

If you can go to the Meridian stores (Meridian/Cherry and Meridian/Ten Mile, they are great about giving you doublers at the register. Three transactions is the standard etiquette (so 9 total in one shopping trip). I shop at those stores occasionally since they are near my workplace.

When I was at Albertsons near my home earlier today (Eagle) they gave me a flier when I went in, and I saw that they had more at the register although I only used one set. As I was leaving, there was a young man at the entrance selling Statesman subscriptions, and he was offering today’s paper, yesterday’s, and last Sunday’s paper for free, so I picked up one from today and one from Sunday. I haven’t looked at them yet to see what coupons might be in there, but I’m assuming they’re the same as the newsstand version.

  13. Ronzoni pasta is not the price in the store is 1.99 and 2.19

    • I had a $1/1 Ronzoni coupon (from a magazine but I have no idea which one, sorry) If you do buy pasta, look for peelies on the box for $1/1 Classico pasta sauce. Classico sauce is on sale for $2. I was able to get a box of pasta and a jar of sauce for only $.19 by using both coupons with a doubler.

Regarding the popcorn/soda promo, as someone already mentioned, the $1/1 coupons from the AY mag were for the 6-ct boxes, not the 3-ct, which are the ones on promo. However, I still think $2.39 for 6 packs of popcorn (2 boxes) and two liters of soda is a really good deal. You do have to have a coupon for the deal, but they had them at the register at my store. So if they don’t automatically scan the coupon, be sure to inquire.

  14. I am in Seattle, I did the popcorn promo and they were 3.29 each there was a coupon on some boxes for a free popcorn and two sodas. I had a 1.00/1 coupon doubled it and so I got 2 popcorns and 2 sodas for 1.29 still pretty good!

I don’t know if you have to have the coupon to get the free popcorn and soda but my store was making sure if you were trying to do the deal you had the coupon you needed but more than likely “while supplies last”

The varieties were sunkist, A@W, and 7-up.

    • I did this in Meridian (cherrylane and tenmile). The popcorn IS $3.29 not $2.50 as post states. I had a $.40 off coupon for popcorn that i was able to double and got 1 popcorn and 2 sodas free. I don’t know if it’s a great deal but we were out of popcorn and soda is a fun treat! – good thing it was only 7-up, A&W and sunkist- don’t worry cathy i haven’t had a diet coke since the incident (well maybe 1).

  15. Could someone please help me? I am thinking to attempt my first coupon shop today and am nervous. A few questions if I may:

    1. Albertson Doublers – will I find those in today’s paper? Which paper? (Tacoma, WA).

    2. Can I buy ONLY these items? Or do I need some kind of filler?

    Albertson

    * La Choy Noodles or Sauce $1.49
    use $0.75/1 printable coupon
    double
    Final Price: Free
(will they allow the coupon even though the double value would be $1.50 instead of $1.49?)

Campbell’s Select Harvest or Chunky Soup $0.99
$1.00/2 Campbell’s Healthy Request, Select Harvest Healthy or Campbell’s Chunky printable
    Double
Final Price: as low as FREE
(Same question, will they allow this even though the coupon is for more than the soup price once doubled?)

    Kikkoman Terriyaki Sauce $2.49
    buy 2, receive $1.50 OYNO
    use (2)$1.00/1 printable
    double
    Pay: $0.98
Final Price: Free + $0.52 in overage
(So I need to buy 2 bottles and this will work?)

    3. Can this be done in one transaction so my cart will look like this:

1 X La Choy Noodles or Sauce $1.49 each
    2 X Chunky Soup $0.99 each
    2 x Kikkoman Terriyaki Sauce $2.49

    Total = free?

    Am I missing something here??

    Many thanks!!!

    • I am not sure if you get doubles in your area or not. If you do you can ask for some at customer service, or get the wed paper.

They will double your coupon up to the amount of the item. So if you have $1/1 and the item is $1.99 they will double it for $0.99 making it free but no overage.

They allow you to double up to three coupons per transaction. Here in Idaho they let you do three transactions in a row. You can then get back in line and do three more.

      hopes this helps

    • I did the La choy sauce and campbell’s soup already today. But they will change the doubler down so you won’t have .01 over. So the doubler will be for .99cents each. And most stores don’t let you have overages so I would say don’t count on it. Just remember each transaction you can only have three doublers at a time. But most stores will let you do three transaction in a row. I did 15 transaction today. All I do is when I see there isn’t many people I go through the line and do three and shop more then do another three and so forth till I’m done. I tell the cashier when she sees more food in my cart , that i’ll be going through the line again soon.
My store had extra doublers with the checkers so ask customer service for an add to start with then ask if they will hand out more doublers at the checker as you go through.

    • Pela, yes, I think your transaction will work fine. If they notice that the coupons are for a penny more than the sale price of the item they will simply adjust it down, otherwise you may get a penny overage. But the store should accept them with no trouble.

      Have fun!

  16. My December and January All You coupons for Orville Redenbacher were for 6 pack or larger boxes of popcorn. The packages included in the sale are 3 packs. :( Oh well!

  17. Stayfree is on sale for $2.29 there is a $1/1 on smartsource.com. makes them $0.29 a pack when you use a double

  18. I have looked all through the Albertsons ad and cannot find the Pasta Roni coupon mentioned. What page is it on?

    • I believe it is for the Pasta Roni Easy Salads and it is in the middle insert that hs the Oscar Mayer Carving Board, Lipton Iced Tea, Planters, etc In-Ad Man Coupons. It is smack in the center.
