  1. Jessica Perreault says:

No quaker deals? When is the big quaker sale? I thought it was in January last year?

    • We hear it is in a few weeks. It will be in January, we started buying coupons on ebay.

      • I bought a bunch of coupons on ebay too and I’ve been seeing a few places have them on sale, but not like the big sale last year. All the coupons I have been seeing are only for the oatmeal. Do you think there will be any coupons for the granola bars?

  2. Do I have to get the wednesday paper to get the doubles???

    • If you get the Wednesday paper you will get doubles in the ad. If not your store should give you an ad!

      • I received mine in my mailbox with all the weekly grocery store ads. And my neighbors did too which means I can hit them up and be organized before I go to the store!

  3. I had the same question as Jamie – I only get the Sunday papers…

  4. angel garvin says:

NO! Go to customer service and get your flyer with doublers!

  5. Thanks for the tip on the customer service for the doublers…me to am surprised it’s on a Wednesday….can u go to any store to get the flyers? or do they have any of them out when u first walk in…thanks so much! Always get great tips from u guys!

  6. Anyone know if you can use a doubler on a B1G1 coupon to double it??? would it make it B2G2???

    • No you can’t. You can only double MQ’s up to 1.00. It states this on the doubler.

      • dont know if all albies do this but they did end up doubling my B1G1…. i was getting the smartwaters and they were .70 each, so i used the b1g1 and then she took off another .70 with my doubler!

  7. Which 4 days are the doubles good for? 1/12-1/15 or 1/15 – 1/18?

  8. I get four Sunday papers and no weekly ones. :( I’m not used to asking for doubles. Will they give you more than one set at a time, or do you have to keep coming back in multiple trips?

    • Most of the Albies are keeping them behind the customer service and only giving one or two. Please let us know if you see them out on the floor, I detest having to ask for them.

      • I don’t know of any stores that will leave out stacks of doublers for people to help themselves to.

The stores I usually shop at will give you doublers at the register when you check out. Usually I don’t even need to ask — the cashiers will just automatically pull out a sheet and scan them for me once they see that I’m using coupons. If not, I just ask nicely.

        • The Kennmore Albertsons in Seattle has stacks of them out. When I am going to multiple stores, I always hit that one first so I can pick up extras.

  9. Has anyone seen the Finish detergent in the Meridian or Boise stores? I would love to get a couple more. Thanks!

    • Jennifer B says:

Had some of the Finish detergent at the Eagle Albertsons today. Saw some at the State Street and Glenwood Yesterday (Tuesday). The tags on the shelf indicated the $2.99 sales price was not ending until Feb 1st so there should still be time.

Also the two Albertsons I mentioned (the ones I frequent) have always just had the doublers at CHECKOUT and just automatically scan them for your transactions.

    • Five Mile and Overland pretty well stocked! And they’re getting more in!

    • McMillan & Eagle were out this (Wed) morning,

    • If you’re still looking, I was at the Albertsons at Glenwood & State in Boise today, and they had some.

  10. CouponKim says:

I always shop at the 10 mile and Cherry Lane Albertsons and they almost always give my doublers back to me to use again… I don’t ever ask for them, they just automatically give them back to me.

    • Wow………. Last time I asked at Fairview and Cole Alb’s about doublers, I was told I had to buy the paper to get them? I was very surprised! Will need to check again. I am hoping that policy changed.

      • Each store has a different policy. F & O used to scan the doublers for you and you could do as many transactions as you would like. Now, they require a separate set of doublers for each transaction. They are willing to give you some, but it’s not unlimited like it used to be.

  11. I cannot find the $1/1 Crest coupon, just $.75/1. Am I looking in the wrong place?

  12. Where do you get the keebler booklet?

  13. FYI they did end up doubling my B1G1 coupon, so two smartwaters = Free!

  14. Stephanie says:

Colgate plus toothbrushes are on sale for 99 cents. Use the .50/1 from 1-2 smartsource = FREE

    • Stephanie,

Thanks for the tip! Check the fine print on the Colgate Coupon. It seems like the Colgate Plus is restricted on that coupon?

      • I read the coupon and it was actually .75/1 and it was good for any one manual colgate toothbrush. Also just noticed that the palmolive 20 ounce bottles of soap are on sale 2 for $4. The bottle have a $1 off one bottle coupon hanger attached to them. If you double that it makes them free. I live in Twin Falls.

        • Maybe the coupon was worded differently in your area? This is how it was worded in the idaho statesman: Colgate 360 Sonic Power or Colgate adult or kids manual toothbrush, excludes Colgate Plus and Extra Clean .75/1 expires 1/22/2011 from 01/02 SS1

          • Oh I see you got a .50 coupon, must have been different. What area are you in so the readers near you can do the deal? THanks Stephanie!

  15. I just made a run to albies for the Kellogg’s deal (buy six items and get $6.00 towards milk) ,and the $6.00 is a instant saving even if you don’t buy the milk! . This worked out great for me, we would not of used the milk anyway.

    • Scenario:
Buy 6 Kelloggs Cereals, cookies or cracker $15.00
      DOUBLE (3) $1/2 Kelloggs Coupons
      -$6.00 Kellogs save
      oop $3.00 +.90 tax
      .65 per box cereal

Look for $1.00 off 2 coupon on sunshine crackers, I found 3 today!

      • Thanks for letting us know that Linda. I’m in desperate need of cereal (hoping for another Post sale in March!!) and getting the full $6 off helps. :)

        • Linda, I’m curious if you bought only 6 boxes of cereal or if you bought 9 or more.

I’ve discovered that these kinds of deals are often like you’ve described. Where the deal is “buy this get that” you really only have to buy this or that to get the instant discount, as long as your total for the items combined is greater than or equal to the amount needed for a qualifying order plus the free item(s).

For (fictitious) example, if the deal is “buy one cereal for $2 get a milk for $1″, then you can buy one milk and one cereal, two cereals, or three milks and still get the discount because the total of the items, be it milk or cereal, is equal to or greater than $3.

Therefore, in the cereal/milk promo, if you bought 9 or more cereals and no milk, then it would not surprise me if you got the $6 instant savings. The dollars needed to qualify for the $6 instant savings would be $15 + $6 = $21. And a purchase of 9 boxes at $2.50/ea = $22.50, which would trigger the $6 instant savings because it is more than $21.

However, if you bought only 6 boxes for $15 total AND got the $6 instant savings, then it’s just an “instant savings” deal and not really a “buy this get that free” deal.

          Make sense?

          • I bought 5 boxes of the 2/$5 and one box of Cinnabon cerals (had a coupon!) but didn’t realize the cinnabon wasn’t in the eligible items. So I didn’t get the $6 off as I had planned. When I took it to customer service, she saw the the Cinnabon was over $2.50 so she entered in the super secret key code, gave me six dollars back and told me to go get a 1/2 gallon of milk for my troubles. So I ended up getting 6 boxes of cereal and a 1/2 gallon of organiz milk for $3 and change! Nice. You have to love Albies.

          • Susan,

I only bought six boxes of cerea for total of $15.00. You get the $6.00 instant saving when you purchase 6 of the Kelloggs items. I also bought 6 boxes of crackers @ $2.50 each $15.00 total, after coupons $3.36.

          • Thanks for the info Linda. Very cool. I may have to pick up more cereal.

    • Woot! Linda thanks for the heads up! I stopped by Albertsons and confirmed your comment after you let us know! You are awesome!

  16. I don’t know if I am getting burned out or what but this week even with the doublers is not exciting me. I will get some of the Activa yogurt cause I’m trying to start eating breakfast. I will also get the Finish and (big maybe) some toothpaste. Because of couponing my stockpile is looking good. Because of Zaycon I still have chicken and will be picking up ground beef in Boise on Saturday. You guys have helped me so much that I think I need to take a bit of a break and only get the hottest deals and do a good inventory. I also need to start on my long term storage and get more wheat etc which means I will need more food grade buckets.

  17. Christina says:

There is a $0.50/1 Green Giant frozen vegetable bricks coupon on the Green Giant website. With a doubler it makes them free. http://www.bettycrocker.com/products/green-giant/

  18. Multiple Nature Valley catalinas will print out in one transaction. I split 10 boxes of cereal into 2 transactions (to utilize my dblrs) and received all five catalinas.

  19. Just an FYI on your prices. I went into Albertsons today to just buy the Nature Valley Granola Bars with 50 cents off coupons (doubling some of them) but found that they are marked at $3. something ($3.49?) and not $2.50 as you have listed. I looked for them in the weekly ad and could not find them anywhere. So if you’re going to get them, it is definitely worthwhile to do the GM cereal first to get the free coupons.

  20. I’m having trouble locating the Kelloggs coupons in RP insert? I’m in Boise..did we get these?

  21. Did the Nampa paper not get the kellogs coupons? I can’t find them anywhere.

  22. Jennifer B says:

    Question on Rainchecks and Doublers…
Got a raincheck for the Finish detergent. Customer service said the warehouse was out as all stores selling out so it will be Monday at the earliest before they get more in. Does that mean I miss out on doubling my $1 coupons or is the double deal also somehow rainchecked?

    • The nice thing about a raincheck is that they last 30 days. So you can wait until the next round of doubles come out to double your coupon. Usually doubles are every two weeks. You can not raincheck a double coupon.

      • Jennifer the 5 & O albertsons in Boise had lots of the Quantum which the $1 coupon is good on! If you are local stop by there! Otherwise follow Katies advice, that is a great tip. Thanks Katie!

        • Jennifer B says:

Thanks Katie and Monica. will probably just wait until next set of doublers. Thanks for sharing how that all works. LOVE that my cupboards are getting full WHILE saving money! So glad I found this site.

  23. I went to albertsons last night and did the kelloggs keebler deal twice. It worked the first time but not the second. The manager said companies are linking it to your albertsons card and limiting it to one transaction. Then he happily refunded me $6 because he said it isn’t posted anywhere that there’s a limit. Anyone else try more than one transaction in a day? I made sure all my items were correct, too.

    • Beth, I went last night and did it 5 times! The store I was at had a TON of product!

    • Beth, I did it twice today and it only worked once. I was in a hurry so didn’t try to figure out what went wrong or go to customer service for assistance. I think I had the right items, but it’s possible I made a mistake.

  24. what stores double coupons in oraange county?
