Double Coupon Rules
Kmart has a few rules for double coupon events. Make sure you understand them before you try to shop it!
- You must reach $25 in grocery and drugstore merchandise (before coupons)
- You must have a Shop Your Way Rewards Card (give to cashier first, before you scan any items or coupons)
- Scan all items before scanning any coupons, to be sure you get to $25
- Kmart will double manufacturer’s coupons up to $1
- Limit of 5 coupons doubled per day
- No cash back or credit given (no overage)
- Limit of 4 of the same items
- Excludes B1G1 Free Offers
- Don’t check out at customer service, they have no catalina machines and the registers are different.

I wanted to double check that the Zzzquil was part of the P&G catalina before I went to the store. Also, have you had any issues with the $10 in points when you spend $50+ CRT having to be a $50 total AFTER coupons? My cashiers keep telling me that, so I wanted to see if you knew for sure. Thanks again!
The Zzzquil has always been included before and the only the exclusion I see in the fine print is “Downy Wrinkle Releaser”. For best results with the $10 CRT, have them scan it first. The “other discounts” refers to Kmart sale prices and store coupons.
I tried a similar transaction today and mine didn’t work, but the cashier reminded me that I had BOGO items, which are excluded, so it may not work in the example scenario. A couple of weeks ago, I successfully used one and my total was well below $50 after coupons.

There are so many exclusions and variables on these CRTs, that I think of it as a bonus when it actually works. I have noticed that the point offers are working better and better for me and since I became a Silver Level Member, I seem to accumulate more.
Thanks for the quick reply. I am going to try to make it to the store tomorrow and see what happens. I also found that on the shopyourway site where they have your personalized coupons, mine had a $5 in points WYB $35+ and $10 on points WYB $50+ that didn’t have the BOGO exclusions. I’m going to load it to my card and try to combine the p&g cat with the instant Nabisco savings and some of the BOGO free kids shoes (includes clearance!) to reach the $50 and then I’ll see what happens with the points offers…

I love when shopping trips actually go smoothly! Here’s what I did today:

4 Venus disposable razor packages @$7.99 ea=$31.96
4 of the 12 oz. bags of Reeses PB cups @$2.88=$11.52
2 Chips Ahoy=$4.00
Smart Sense cookies=$2.49
and a clearanced Gillette Fusion Proglide giftset=$5.49 (with razor, b.wash and shave gel, included a free GQ magazine subscription which you can request a refund of instead for a $9 value)
SUBTOTAL: $65.46
Used printed $10 in points WYB $50+ CRT since I didn’t have any BOGO items (I’ll save the other one that can be loaded since it’s good through the 14th)
Doubled 2 $1/1 Zzzquil Q’s
Doubled 2 $1/2 Hersheys/Reeses 10 oz.+ bags Q’s
Doubled 1 $0.75/2 Nabisco cookies Q
used 2 BOGO free razor coupons, takes off $15.98 (tried to stack with the $2/1 disposable razor Q for the ones I was purchasing, but BOGO coupon was attaching to both items–arg! I really needed razors, though!)
used a $3/1 Gillette Fusion proglide razor coupon for the giftset
used the free cookies coupon (only takes off $2.00 instead of $2.49?!)
Received instant $5 off for Nabisco/Hershey promo
TOTAL $29.98 + tax
received $10 in bonus points, $5 in points for Zzzquil, $10 P&G promo catalina and $5 Kmart Award Card. So I paid $30 and got $30 back, plus I will submit for the magazine subscription refund of $9 and I have $31.96 toward the $15 P&G rebate WYB $50+.

Love it Ali! So glad it all went smoothly! The cookie coupon is only taking off $2, quite frequently they are a few cents higher or lower than the actual shelf price, which makes no sense. Good find on the magazine rebate. I am glad the point offers seem to be working better for everyone too, hopefully they have a lot of the bugs worked out!
Can you use all the Catalina coupons in one transaction?
It depends on how they print out. If they are “true catalinas” out of the catalina machine you can. If they are CRT (cash register tape) catalinas out of the register, they are Kmart Savings Coupons and then only one can be used per transaction. The $5 Cleaning Supplies One and the $10 P&G are both CRTs (The P&G is only valid next week, the other can be used immediately). The Glade is a Catalina and can be used anytime. I hope that helps.
