It all began on October 8th, 2008. Cathy and Monica started this coupon blog to help friends and family learn about their new money saving hobby couponing! Since then they have taught thousands of women (and men)

I was super excited about round-ups today too! I went in to get the paper towels and tostitos, and found a super bargain. My store had 1/2 pounds of butter marked down to $.79, and they each had a $.30 off coupon on it, so I got 18 packages of butter(9 LB) paper towels, toilet paper, 4 tuna, and 2 tostitos for $7.96. I didn’t have the coupons for the paper products, but I did have a $2 off 2 tostitos and each of my 18 butter coupons rounded up to a dollar.
Way to go, Misty. It’s just like Christmas morning when you find surprises like that. I took my $10/$20 coupons from JC Penney, in at the last minute to use. I found they had $2 racks and $4 racks. I got Liz Claiborne tops and bottoms for $4 and sweaters and tops and jeans for $2 plus they took off my $10 coupons too.
Great job! I love to read all these awesome ways everyone saves!
This is a random question for the writer…. What are military store coupons? This week I looked up mayonnaise coupons on eBay and saw some military ones. Can you not use these at Albertsons? Where do they come from?
Don’t buy them! Great job catching that before you did buy them! Albertsons nor Walmart & for that matter no other store will take Military coupons. What they are is coupons that are good only at the base stores. Most military bases have stores – these coupons are designed only for those stores. You can use other coupons at the military base stores as well, even expired ones up to 6 months expired. Though the military coupons don’t transfer to any other store. Hope that helps!
As far as the Military coupons go, they can only be used on military bases and only overseas bases accept expires ones. Do not try to use expired coupons in a stateside store. They will not be accepted.
Did not know about the expired ones only used oversees thanks for that update! My family is in Japan that I send them to.
Thank you! Glad I didn’t buy those then!
Thank you! Hadn’t been to Alb’s in ages. Went in yesterday and spent $16.26 on $52 worth of groceries. Will head back to get use some of your suggestions!
I am so glad to help! I always love reading how much people save, if I can help in any way I would be happy to! Love it! Great job!
I usually go store to store trying to find the free Bounty paper towels. Was SUPER excited to find the Columbia Village Albertsons was prepared and ordered extra. After buying my 7, they still have plenty on the shelf and the manager says that they have more in the back. Was also able to use a 20 cent Clorox coupon found on the product to get a gallon of bleach for 79 cents, a case of Vitamin Water for 48 cents each (on sale through tonight for .88/each, cashier has $2 off of 5 coupon at the checkstand!!), $1.50/dzn Eggland’s Best, and .79 for 8 oz. Kraft Cheddar cheese bricks ($4.79 ea, $3 Manager’s coupon, round up .25/cheese). Heading back today to use my OreIda Potato griller’s coupons because they are in the clearance section. Love, Love, LOVE coupons!
