Double Coupon Rules
Kmart has a few rules for double coupon events. Make sure you understand them before you try to shop it!
- You must reach $25 in grocery and drugstore merchandise (before coupons)
- You must have a Shop Your Way Rewards Card (give to cashier first, before you scan any items or coupons)
- Scan all items before scanning any coupons, to be sure you get to $25
- Kmart will double manufacturer’s coupons up to $1
- Limit of 5 coupons doubled per day
- No cash back or credit given (no overage)
- Limit of 4 of the same items
- Excludes B1G1 Free Offers
- Don’t check out at customer service, they have no catalina machines and the registers are different.

In Kmart’s coupon policy you have on your web site it states the double coupons excludes B1G1, but you show to use 2 coupons (even one on the free item). Am I misunderstanding their policy?
The BOGO exclusions are for actual BOGO coupons themselves, not BOGO sales. (i.e. if you had a coupon for BOGO snickers bar, you couldn’t double the coupon and get 2 for free). You should be able to use 2 coupons on a BOGO sale (which will both double), because the coupons attach to the items first, then the register takes off the amount of the free item at the end. I hope that makes sense.
Thanks Ali, you are right. The B1G1 refers to coupons not sales. Here is a shopping trip that I did that worked just fine with B1G1 sales and doubling coupons.

It makes sense but our store will not allow a coupon on the free item.
Our Kmart will not let you use 2 coupons on a B!G! as you are not allowed to use a coupon on a free item nor can you use a coupon that brings the item down more than 75% of it’s value if it is a printable coupon. I sure wish EVERY store would follow the same policy.
I agree with you. My problem is 1 Kmart limits the use of 5 coupons per day period. While the other 2 stores says use as many as you want (limit 4 like coupons) & doubles 5 per day. Everyone interprets their policy differently I guess. I am a go with the flow kinda person…so I flow to the other 2 stores instead. haha.
Sorry ladies, I know it is frustrating. I do try to read what is successful for most readers, test it, and talk to managers/cashiers before I post something. I wish it would work the same for everyone on everything.
