What does stack with double mean?
Kayla, if you live in OR or SW WA, there is a doubler coupon found in the Tuesday ad. It is usually on the inside bottom corner of the next to last page. Just clip that and it will allow you to “double”, which means it will take off an extra $0.50 for up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction. (printables and those that say “do not double” excluded)

another horrible experience at Safeway. After being burned several times I am just going to stop trying. They clearly are not customer focused. I went to the Safeway here in Kennewick and although the La Victoria tortillas are in their ad, they do not carry them. They cannot do a raincheck, and will not special order them. That is ridiculous!!!! Don’t advertise things that you are not going to carry. I spoke with the manager and he apologized but said the ad covers 5 states and that not all items are available in all areas….and that these tortillas are not available in eastern Washington. I let him know that the Albertsons a few blocks away carries them regularly and he said “I am sorry for the inconvenience.” This happened to me last year on another item, and after typing an email to the corporate office and NEVER getting a response, I am sure the one I just typed will be disregarded as well due to their lack of customer focus.
If they carried it and they were out, I would be very understanding…..but to advertise a product that you don’t even carry is absolutely ridiculous. Call before you go to make sure they even carry the item.
the La Vic Tortillas seem to be a new item at Safeway – found them in a separate prefab display in the produce section (instead of with the Mission and other regular brands) – and that was in two of the five Safeways I visited on Oregon coast. Larger stores may have them, but it’s not unusual for smaller ones to not have all the items in the ads or on J4U.
Also, found out by calling corp. that rain checks can only be issued at store that has sold out of item in stock, and can usually only be used at that same store. Hope this helps.

I thought that might be the case, so that is why I asked the manager as I assumed I just couldn’t find them. He said they don’t carry them at his store.
My biggest issue has been that this has happened to me repeatedly. I don’t shop at Safeway so going there is always a special trip, and the non-chalant way they think it is acceptable to advertise an item they do not carry is unacceptable. Last year it happened on the Starbucks Refresher.
Sorry Ben, that is super frustrating. I hope you at least found some other deals.
