No star: If we don’t star an item but it is listed here, that means it is still a decent price. It’s not necessarily better than any competitor’s price, but it will save you a trip across town.

doublers this weekend????
I read on another site that we are!!!
Yes! Doubles this weekend!
Anyone else feeling a little… grumpy about the $10 qualifying purchase with the daily deals? Yuck!!!
looks like they are looking for a way to do away with back to back transactions?
I know I’d only go in for the “daily deal” and leave the store, so making me buy $10 of other items; I may not go in for the daily deals.
kari
I may in the minority, but I like that they are enforcing a minimum purchase. $10 is not that much to spend. It’s not unlike K-Mart’s policy of requiring a $25 purchase in order to double coupons.
Hopefully the minimum required purchase will keep people from doing multiple back-to-back transactions and clearing shelves. The past few weeks there have been a few daily deals that I was interested in, but found empty shelves. And with no rain checks, I was simply out of luck.
I was frustrated too. I went in to get my two ragu and found a completely cleared shelf, what a waste of gas. An employee on break I guess (had nametag on still) had a cart filled with ragu and was going through the line repeatedly buying two at a time, 3 transactions in a row. Rather than making us spend $10 they should simply enforce the 2 per person per day rule that is stated on their ad to make it fair to all. I think allowing multiple transactions like this is ridiculous and goes against their ad, why have limits if no one enforces? One person leaves extemely happy getting all the inventory and everyone else just wasted their gas, with no rainchecks.
I found the daily deals very fair at my store, they were only allowing you to buy so many per person, no multiple transactions either. If I wanted more I just went to Walmart and stocked up. I’m not happy about the $10 purchase at all – find it to be a waist of my time too. Since there are doublers I’ll probably get Sunday’s deal, and that’s it.
I would have said somthing…
Yes, this was not good news. I was expecting better service from Albertsons. A $10 restriction for 5 items seems a little too much,
How many of the same coupon can you use at AB’s? I didn’t see a limit in the coupon policy. But I know some other stores have no more then 2 of the same type of coupon…..but I’d love to do my pasta all in one tranasaction if I can use my 6 coupons all at once. Thanks for any info!
There is no limit to how many you can use in a single transaction at Albertsons, unless specifically stated on the coupon!
Great. thanks Joey!
Thank You!
one way to get the daily deal (that is what I am gonna do) is to get $10 of the chicken breasts for each transaction….if it is a true butcher block item it should be easy enough…Yuban coffee….here I come…
I called albertsons today and was told that the daily deals is now one per household per day that we can no longer do multiple transaction. Also the rightgaurd and stayfree sales are buy2 get 1 free
Yep, B2G1 free, and I used a $2/1 on each, so I paid $1.18 for 3!
For those who get Albertsons email alerts, there was a store oupon for $1 off grapes.
The Quaker coupons are also NLA
It’s no wonder so many Albertsons are closing !!!!
Does Albertson’s have a rule about the printable coupons being in color? Walmart has enforced color. I hate to waste the color cartridge for color if I don’t have to.
You can still print in black and white at Albertsons as long as the coupon scans.:)
Albertsons have had to close stores that were most likely not as profitable as other stores in their family. I’m happy to play by new rules on sale items because they do throw out some awesome things like doublers, round up and being one of the easiest stores to coupon in my area. So if I have to spend $10 on something I was getting anyway just to save on another item, I’m cool with it because it just might mean they will keep my store open.
The Albertsons I shop at, the daily deal rang up without the $10 required purchase. The cashier just recommended that I buy $10, but did not make me. I am going to try tomorrow with the paper. It doesn’t seem that they are really enforcing the $10 minimum.
I don’t know who likes Gatorade, but for our family it is a necessity (almost). I found $1.00 off peelie coupons on the 8 pck 20oz bottles on sale for 2/$10. I was able to save $2 off my transaction so look for those coupons on the Gatorade 8 packs.
I got my La Victoria salsa (2 jars) and tortillas (3 packages) free today using two $1 coupons and one .75 coupon for the tortillas and a $1/2 coupon for the salsa and my doublers. I also scored free bread using Albertson’s French bread coupon that came in my email on Tuesday last week using the overage. I also picked up 2 HALF GALLONS (alright, Dreyers!!!!) of Dryers ice cream, 2 bags of Nestle candy 2/$4 (coupon on today’s doubler ad sheet) and paid $8 and change for it all. I love Albertsons!!
Awesome!! Thanks for sharing how you did the transaction!
