KEY:
★- means prices are better than generic/wholesale/mass store prices, buy a few if you need it!
★– means this is when we stock up!!! {aka Extreme Couponing… done right}
No star: If we don’t star an item but it is listed here, that means it is still a decent price. It’s not necessarily better than any competitor’s price, but it will save you a trip across town.
Albertsons Ads vary by region. This ad match-up is reflects deals for the Northwest Region (CA, OR, WA, ID, MT, NV, & WY).

It all began on October 8th, 2008. Cathy and Monica started this coupon blog to help friends and family learn about their new money saving hobby couponing! Since then they have taught thousands of women (and men)

I hope Albertson’s prepares for their one day deals and buys more than just a handful of can of vegis or cartons of ice cream. I did notice in my flyer today that it said “quantities limited”. I wonder if that is there way of saying you get what you get and no rain checks?
I work for Albertson’s. The new daily deals work this way…the limits set are per customer ( so if its 2, you can only get 2) and yes there will be NO rain checks issued.
My flier stated “price valid for date indicated only. No rain checks on Daily Deal items.” so yes, there will be no rain checks. I suppose the early bird gets the worm for these deals. but I agree, I do hope there is a decent stock.
How does the black glad bag price work?
I heard there were doublers coming from another website, if that is true, do you think the ISJ customers will get them as well? Or maybe not because they messed up and we received them last week?
I was wondering the same thing!
Doubles have been confirmed. No definite answer for you on whether you will receive them again, but I would plan for them anyway.
Just bought 7 cotto salami’s and 3 kraft delux mac n cheeses, paid $19.30 after saving $5 from albertsons buy 10 save 5 deal, but No Catalina!
The cotto salami isn’t one of the participating items. This happened to me as well and that is what I was told.
Same here, I was very disappointed.
The “daily deals” are a great marketing tactic to get you in the store more often.
I drive by several stores on my daily commute so it’s not too inconvenient to stop in on any given day, but I intentionally try to limit my grocery stopping to once a week in order to stick to my budget and manage my time.
For people who have to drive longer distances and make intentional trips to the store … with gas at $3.88/gal (Boise Stinker today) who wants to make multiple trips and take the chance of actually finding promotional items?
Not trying to be really negative, but I’m just not liking these daily deals all that much.
That said, I did wander into my local Albertsons on my lunch hour today to pick up a flyer and entertain myself for a few minutes. Founds some nice sales prices that I didn’t see listed … sour cream for $1, Carlita tortillas for $1 (we like this brand), and Carlita canned chilis for $.69 (regularly $1.59).
I am one of those people who have to drive long distances to shop. There is no way I can afford the time or the gas money to make multiple trips every week. Because of recent changes in coupon policies, (Daily Deals, no rolling at Rite Aid, limiting internet coupons, etc….) I am very tempted to just forget about trying to save money and just eat Ramen Noodles 3 times a day.
@ Terri–that is so frustrating, I agree!! I recommend taking your time to build a stockpile. If you miss a “great” daily deal, don’t worry, going everyday only causes couponer-burnout anyway.
