  1. Sad stuff. It doesnt seem to be as amazing as the cashier I chat with was making it out to be. But then again, she gets all the non advertised goodies too… so I really hope her excitment pans out in the stores…

  2. I love the roundups and I wish they would do it more often.

During past roundups, I’ve gone through my coupons specifically looking for the lower value coupons, and do some matchups in the store. There are always markdowns on items not featured in the ad. I’ve gotten some really nice savings this way, and it’s so much less hassle than doublers and multiple transactions. And I love that it lasts all week instead of just 3 days.

Considering that (1) coupons valued less than $.50 more than double and (2) the fact that you can round up an unlimited number of coupons, it’s quite possible to save more with the roundup than by using doublers. Especially for those of us without access to lots of doublers. At least that’s been my experience.

  3. Frugal Mom says:

Aren’t the Zone Perfect bars 10 for $10? Round up the .55 off coupon and theyre free!

  4. Lesa Howard says:

Question? I heard from numerous sources in the past couple of days that Albertsons is doing away with doublers forever is this true or not? If you can, can you please clarify this. Thank you Lesa

    • We had heard that rumor too, but luckily, it isn’t true. Here is the response we received from Albertsons Corporate office:

“Good news! I can officially tell you that we have no plans of discontinuing our Twice the Value coupons. We’re always evaluating the effectiveness of our promotions and may continue to vary the frequency or markets we distribute offers to. With that being said, we continue to see our shoppers saving big by using our Twice the Value coupons at Albertsons, and at this time we have no plans to discontinue them.”

Hope that puts you at ease!!

  5. wphathaway@yahoo.com says:

I thought that the coupons for some of the albertsons brand products were considered store coupons. The ad says that it will double manufacture coupons. Am I wrong?

    • You’re right. Only manufacturer coupons can be doubled; store coupons can’t. Any and all coupons for Albertsons brand products, including Essential Everyday, would be store coupons.

  6. Is walmart matching the coupon round up?

    • Yes, Walmart is Matching the Round-Up! I just went this morning and I received Bounty papertowels for free, free French’s mustard and paid .08 for Dawn dis detergent:)

      • Which Walmart did you go to? I just called the one located in Happy Valley and customer service told me “she didn’t think so”, although she seemed quite unsure of what i was talking about.

        • The people that answer the phones at Walmart are just ordinary people that are not trained in anything except how to answer phones, stock the shelves and sometimes cashiering. I once cashiered there and they dont teach anyone anything except how to ring up merchandise and if one of the cashiers have a question then they just call over a CSM (customer service manager).

  7. I just bought Yoplait and got a catalina. Cannot locate what quantity generated it.. does anyone know?

  8. Hey there- I don’t know if this deal is going on at all Albertsons but the Albertsons near my home in Boise (Overland and 5 Mile) has a case sale on boneless skinless chicken breasts- $1.29 per pound in a 40 pound box! I bought 2 boxes last night and the quality is very good.

  9. Where do you find the coupons to make this possible for the pasta?

Use $1/1 Any Essential Everyday Item $1.00 or more (exp. 8//22/12) Albertsons Sizzlin’ Summer Giveaway
    Final Price: FREE

And, I don’t see anything about the Honey Bunches of Oats Catalina on here. Do you know anything about it?

    • Ask your cashier if they have that coupon. Most stores put it behind the register to prevent people from going crazy with it. And our blogging friend Sarah just gave us the heads up about the HBO cat… buy 5 boxes (priced at $2.00 each), get a $4.00 catalina! So 5 boxes for $6 isn’t bad at all!

  10. Can you email me the list of the 17 free items for Albertson’s please. ty
