KEY:
★- means the price is better than generic/wholesale/mass store prices!
★– means this is when we stock up!!! {aka Extreme Couponing… done right}
If we don’t star an item but it is listed here, that means it is still a decent price. It’s not necessarily better than any competitor’s price, but it will save you a trip across town.

It all began on October 8th, 2008. Cathy and Monica started this coupon blog to help friends and family learn about their new money saving hobby couponing! Since then they have taught thousands of women (and men)

I coupon, but extreme couponing doesn’t work down here in Southern Alabama. The only store that double coupons up to 1.00 is Brunos and they are more expensive anyway. I do Walgreens. But my big extreme coupon question is about meat. All of these shows and websites never show how to pack your fridge or freezer on just a few dollars. Look, my family eats meat every night, and I don’t get chicken, steak and hamburger coupons. So, how does tht work?
I don’t think there usually are coupons for these items (or at least I have never seen one). What I do is get catalinas and apply those to my purchases of meat or produce. I also go directly to producers of cattle, chicken and pork and buy there. It never is cheap but a lot less expensive than purchasing from a grocery store.
Leni,
Besides what Arlene said, once you have been couponing for a while you will learn stockup prices on meat items. For instance my family eats a lot of boneless skinless chicken breast. Stock up price for my family in 1.29 a lb. I get this at my local grocer once or twice a year. When I see it in their ad I call and order a case. All meat has a different stock up price. Also as Arlene has said, buying a whole or 1/2 beef from a cattle rancher is a lot cheaper than paying $4-6 a lb in the store. The only problem is that you have to come up with the money up front to pay for the beef vs. buying it monthly. Type in stock up prices in the search engine on this site and their might be a list for you. Good Luck.
Going directly to the producers of the animal is the cheapest way!!!! It will look like a lot up front BUT if you price it out per pound it is cheaper and you get better quality meat! Plus you can see the animal before to make sure it is healthy and you can ask the farmer exactly what the animal eats! Good luck!
I don’t see the Pirate’s Booty coupon.
It’s been gone for awhile now!
Was the aquafresh coupon regional?? I am not seeing it
there are about 12 more 50% off specials listed on the last ad page on the website (frigo, Star olive oil Smart Taste) etc. Most of the other ads looked like what we got in the newspaper.

My Fred Meyer will not take a coupon for more than the value of an item. They don’t do overage and they won’t adjust the coupon value, so at my FM the aquafresh deal wouldn’t work.
Same with my FM. What a blah week. Not even any real good produce on sale. I refuse to buy non-organic blueberries, they taste to much like the pesticides they’ve been sprayed with.
My Fred Meyer is the same way too. Just got a thought of taking their ad to Walmart
Oh, that’s too bad. Mine has never had a problem adjusting coupons down (don’t ask me how many free boxes of Allegra I got with that $7 off coup!)
Yeah one time I had a coupon that made my the price minus 1 cent. I said, “can’t you guys just keep the penny, and give me the deal?”. They wouldn’t even let me do that, they just said I couldn’t use the coupon on that item at all. There have been a couple times when I bought a lot of things, and the coupon was for more off than the item was worth, and they just didn’t notice it, or overrided it. That other time I only had two items, so they definitely noticed it. I think it also depends on what cashier you have.
I saw a coupon in Albertson’s today hanging off Belvita for $1 off when you buy Belvita & Gevalia coffee.
you removed my comment ?? keep your hair on. just cause i made a big deal about your spelling mistakes
I cant find where you would print the all facebook coupon. suggesstions?
I would like to say. The key word is stock up. Some weeks i run short on coupons others i do really well and have alot of them. So i always look for good deals and buy when they are low. The key things i always buy and stock up when prices are low are laundry soap, cereal, peanut butter, cheese, canned goods that will last. Meat varies for week to week. I usually stock up once a month on.
