I love your tips for K-mart shopping. The posts are misleading however, as you use rewards from your previous purchases to get such low prices. For example, the average reader would actually spend $30 on the transactions above, not $5. It is kind of double dipping when you state the rewards in your previous posts as discounts and state them again the following week as discounts for your next purchase.
My percentage saved is always calculated on the out of pocket price I paid, so the gift cards and catalinas are only counted when they are spent.
My $1/2 7up coupons wouldn’t double. Did your cashier have to do it manually?
Yes, they didn’t know why and neither did I, but they read the coupon and then gladly doubled it.
Mine didn’t either!
I thought it might be something my cashier did, but it looks to be a glitch in the register or coupon, so double check that it doubles (or ask them to double it) if you use this coupon.
I had read that the doubles events would end in April. Has this been extended?
I know they are everyday through 4/28 per the monthly savings guide, but I haven’t heard for after that.
My 7up coupons didn’t double either but they manually doubled them for me. Awesome trip (as always!).
Are we getting Albies dblers this weekend?
Some deals I picked up today..
Aquafresh fresh and fruity on sale for $1.50 – free after double
Crayola My First Scissors $2.79 – .79 cents after double
Great deals, what coupons did you use Emily?
1.00 off fresh and fruity from aquafresh.com
1.00 off my first crayola printed from coupons.com a few weeks ago… probably NLA??
Thanks Emily, got some Aquafresh today.
HI Dawn:) I am new to your site..It looks great! I am wondering on the first transaction..last week with the P&G deal, I tried to buy Pampers and get the $25 dblrs and the register would not double or give the free item as they said diapers are NOT grocery…I see you made out with Huggies. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
I have never had a problem with diaper coupons doubling. They are included in drugstore/grocery. Are you sure you were at $25 before coupons. Also make sure you do your transactions in this order:
1) scan card
2) scan all items
3) store coupons (including free item)
4) manufacturer’s coupons
5) catalinas
