Tired of pictures and papers all over your fridge? Want a cuter way to display them?! I have just the craft for you!
Supplies:
Picture frames of your choice
Hot glue gun or E6000 glue
Magnets (4 for each frame)
Fist pick your frame, I would recommend using very lightweight frames, because you are opening the fridge and there can be some doors that slam a little hard you don’t want it to be a heavy frame that will fall off and break every time you open the fridge door. Also, choose a frame that doesn’t have the picture stand attached to the frame. You want a frame that you can take the stand off. We want the frame to be flush against the fridge. I chose wood frames from Hobby Lobby that were $11.99, the day I went they had 50% off all frames so it was just over $6.00 a piece including tax.
Next, you will need to find magnets that are heavy duty. Hobby Lobby caries them up near the front of the store by the cash registers. They have a rating on the bottom that 1-10 that shows the strength of the magnetic. I bought mine with a 6 rating. That is perfect for the wood frames. I wouldn’t recommend going any lower than 6 just to ensure that your frames will stay on the fridge, that is the goal after all! If you decide to use E6000 glue it can also be found at most crafting stores and is about $5.99 it is very strong, so if you are worried the hot glue wont hold up use that instead! (I havent had any problems with the hot glue, but the sturdier the better!)
Ok-now you are going to need to take the picture frame stand off. I just used some scissors and popped the little tacks out and voila!
Next, you will hot glue the magnets on the back. I placed mine on each corner. Make sure to put a thin layer on so the magnets are all flush against the fridge.
Now, you are ready to put your picture in it and display! I would be super cute to have a frame for each child to display art work for the week, or a paper they did well on from school! I love how it brightens up my fridge!

How do you get magnets to stick to your stainless steel fridge? Mine won’t….
Christa-I did some research, it looks like there are different grades of stainless steel and some don’t allow magnets to stick.. I had no idea! This is an article that explains a bit on the chemical balance and why sometimes magnets don’t stick to stainless steel. Sorry it wont work for you!

I never knew the reason. Thanks so much for looking into it. I thought maybe you used “special” magnets. ha ha
E6000 Glue is actually better to use on the magnets than hot glue- it tends to hold up better (or so I’ve found)
Ashlee-I forgot about that glue. I have also used it in the past and it works great too! They carry it at most crafting stores and its about $5.99, so that wouldn’t be a bad option as well! Thanks for the reminder.
Sweet, I just found the E6000 Glue on amazon!
you can actually get the glue for 2 something at walmart- I use it for everything!
