What are you finding at Walgreens this week?

It all began on October 8th, 2008. Cathy and Monica started this coupon blog to help friends and family learn about their new money saving hobby couponing! Since then they have taught thousands of women (and men)

wow great job
Silly question but what does OOP and RR stand for?
OOP- Out of pocket
RR- Register Rewards
out of pocket & register rewards
Not a silly question!! Sorry I forgot to link to the lingo
I did an insane 13 transactions at my one walgreens yesterday: Bought $193.47 worth of goods, paid $11.18 out of pocket, received $85.98 in register rewards, still have $12.00 RR remaining, so basically got $193 worth of stuff FREE. Walgreens and Rite Aid rock…I love getting paid to shop. (I bought 2 Probiotics, 4 Melatonin, 2 Eternal Blue, 1 Belvita, 1 On the Go Drink, 2 Stride gum, 2 Burt’s Bees cough drops, 2 Poligrip, 3 boxes mints, 1 Walgreens 5 Blade razor, 3 back scratchers, 1 Scrub Bub Toilet Kit, 2 Quaker Oats cereals, 2 Nivea Lip Care, and 2 Nice Peanut Butter. LOVE rolling those register rewards! Not to mention my oh so patient local cashers who also rock.
I did about the same…only I had to go to 5 different Walgreens’ because of their 3 transaction limit. One though let me do a couple extra as they limit RRs per items, not transactions per se so that you can get about 6 transactions there. Definitely a great Wags week.
Good job! We only have one Walgreens in my area that has to suffice for 8 cities, I’m hopeful that they’ll build another sometime soon. I am really good about only buying one of something unless there is a LOT of stock of a particular item. Then I try to go back towards the end of the sales week to see if there is still more product left on the shelf. I love a week when there are so many deals!
So, how did you plan your shopping trip? I have been working on mine for like 2 hrs now and I still can’t get it to where I don’t pay a bunch out of pocket and still get everything I want!!!
I think I over think things, waaaaaaay too much. I just know you have to have as many items as you do coupons, etc and I don’t want it to be stressful when i get to the store.
Awesome job by the way! I’m impressed!!!
I take the highest RR items, and buy that first. Then I take a few items as possible to add up to the value of that RR. Then I pick the next fewest items to add up to those/that RR. Hope that helps!
Anyone else having trouble printing out the scrubbing bubbles coupon?
There is an outage with a bunch of the coupon networks… that could be part of it
Hopefully it will fix itself soon!
I had a cashier last week tell me that I could not use two coupons on a buy one get one free deal. I have had problems with this cashier before, she quite snotty to couponers . I decided not to argue with her and walked out buying nothing. Oh well her loss because she gets a commission on all beauty products.
walgreens has listerine on sale 50% off. I had a coupon $2.00 off so i paid .49 . then received another 2 coupons for 2.00 off. My family will have fresh breath for awhile.
