When the jar of applesauce (or whatever product) gets down low, you may have the tendency to just throw it away. STOP!
Before you throw it away, turn it upside down, leave it in the fridge upside down for the night and the next day you’ll discover you suddenly have more than you thought!
I always to this with jars and bottles…whether it’s to get a few more servings of salad dressing or that last bit of applesauce, it’s worth it every time! By turning my apple sauce jar upside down, I was able to get out about 10% more applesauce. That was a savings of about 25 cents! If I do that with every bottle, the savings really add up!

I add water to the “empty” laundry detergent bottle – shake it – and use for one last load
You could also use a small spatula to scrape out the apple sauce. My Mom actually uses scissors and cuts the top off of lotions that come with a pump (or sunscreens, etc) and uses the spatula to scrape it out and into a small plastic container. She says she gets 5-10 more applications out of every bottle. That would really add up over time, but I always tell her to be careful with the scissors!!
