Thank you for your patience as we’ve worked on getting the details... here is the official price change effective February 1st. These prices are for NEW multiple subscribers only. If you recieve just the daily paper and one Sunday paper, you CAN add 4-9 Sunday papers to your subscription. If you are currently receiving the Fabulessly Frugal deal, you can not renew at these rates. You’ll need to unsubscribe for 60 days to be considered a new subscriber again.

Get yourself more than one Sunday paper! A multiple copy subscription is crucial if you want to buy multiple items at rock bottom prices. If you only have one coupon, you’ll only be able to purchase one item! And that aint no stockpile!

Any chance for The Seattle Times to be included in this list? The TNT and The Olympian do not serve customers in Puget Sound area, and The Seattle Times do not have a great deal on their own for multiple copies of the Sunday paper.

This is such a huge jump in cost (I had sticker shock when I got my bill in the mail this last week) that I’m considering dropping my subscription for a bit. I do love the savings with the extra papers and such, but the deals have been fewer and farther between and I just can’t justify this kind of money up front. It is definitely not in my budget.
@ Erika, I totally agree with you. I had paid monthly and was paid up through February 19th. I called the Statesman after I got my renewal notice, which like you I thought had to be a mistake it was so much more than what I was paying previously. After speaking with a CSR and hearing the rates she quoted and being required to pay for a whole year up front, I did cancel my subscription. From what I’m reading now it looks like I will need to wait 60 days to re-subscribe with the new deal if I decide I want it. I plan to keep track of the deals I will miss by not having the subscription during this time to see if it makes since to get the papers again at this new higher rate. The deals I have been offered and I’ve been able to get these past two months have barely made the old price worthwhile. I haven’t used the coupon clipping services or buying coupons on Ebay in the past but I will give them a serious look now. Maybe if enough couponers cancel, the Statesman may rethink such a large rate increase (like the Netflix backlash). I’m feeling like they don’t appreciate having couponer’s business. I guess you don’t really how great a deal you had until it’s gone!
Did they make any mention of Elmore county (meaning: mountain Home)? Also any mention of consistantly having inserts for us? I canceled my subscription last sept due to the fact that they were not putting any coupon inserts in our papers.
