W-2s are to be distributed by January 31st, so those should be rolling in soon and it is time to think about filing your tax return. These are some FREE options for filing your simple federal tax returns. I haven’t used any of these, but they all claim to guarantee accuracy. I suppose if you really wanted to take the time, you could go through all of them to find out which you prefer since the services are free!

And if you need your state taxes done too you can use myfreetaxes.com which is funded by h&r block and Walmart. It may not be available in every state. I know its good in CA and UT. You need to make Less than $57000 to be eligible to use it. The other sites mentioned in the blog post make you pay for state taxes but myfreetaxes.com let’s you file state taxes free too.
